Any PWE Vanilla forum thread.
I just tried doing a search for forum info on a thread title I know well. It could not find it. ...until I added the word vanilla to the search. Then it was right on top.
Does anyone know how long it takes for Search Engines to catch back up with a big change to page like we just had? Is it weeks, months, years?
Edit - spelling error. always a spelling error.
Sig? What sig? I don't see any sig.

Definitely.
Hey, if I'm wrong, then tell me what you did and I'll try that?
Why you steal Groucho's mustache??

That's directly searching for the site by URL, the OP is talking about keyword searches.
OP it probably just hasn't been long enough for Google to index and propagate keyword searches on the forum, it's not our fault it's googles.
I found that, too. I think the guys has a stapler fetish. LOL
That's just to keep his tie secure.

Working fine for me
l don't know.
l really don't know what l'm about to say, except l have a feeling about it.
That l must repeat the words that come without my knowledge.'
Depends. It's just a matter of time until googles bots have tracked all pages. Some already work fine - even old ones.
If you google for "I hate geko sto" you'll find alot old and working links.
Yeah. He got me. 'sokay. I... :: confused look :: ...had it - comin' to me?
Right?
That's why it's so easy to find old Bookmarks.
Even with G00GLE.

Hey. He was lonel with out his other brothers.
Honestly, I couldn't say. It might be a while before Google finds many of the older threads. It depends on how deep Google has to dig to find the links and how important it thinks your site is.
That's because PWE is redirecting all the old links to
http://www.arcgames.com/en/forums#/categories/startrekonline
and the last I heard, they don't intend to fix it. It would have been easy to redirect the old links properly if they had planned on doing it before the forum migration, but I guess they don't care that the old links are broken.
Yup. Google finds everything.

Check my "ORLY" above. That isn't searching the site.
But I guess I don't understand what you'd want to search for on the site, if you're not searching the site? (huh?)
I mean, if you are intentionally searching for an old thread ON THIS SITE, why would you not search ON THIS SITE?
How did I troll?! I just did a search, and posted the results.
honestly.... I don't know... but it was funny
As far as I can tell, the search function on this site is sadly lacking.
Also, thanks for showcasing another "feature" that bothers people here. It was not apparent that your ORLY was a link at all. Links should look different, but don't.
Well, in my experience, with forums, like our old one, searching ON the forums did not give the results I was hoping for, but somehow Google was always able to find that forgotten thread what I was looking for. A thread that held that one post by that one guy who knew how to get a specific mission done because there was a tiny glitch now and doing this one "trick" made it possible to complete. Or other stuff like that.
IOW - Old habits die hard. :: shrugs ::
Oh, and remember: next Friday...is Hawaiian shirt day. So, you know, if you want to, go ahead and wear a Hawaiian shirt and jeans.
Now Zeppo wants to say hello.
That's Coko, on the left, and Drinko on the right.
Drinko is a mime who staggers around a lot, then falls down, while Coko is the hyped up, fast talker who's comedy routines consist of joke after joke lacking coherence or punchlines, but routine always ends with her screaming at the top of her lungs, "IT'S TOO HOT IN HERE!" right before she runs from the room while tearing off her clothes, searching for a pool, or a fountain or a Koi pond to jump into.
Hilarious stuff, really. They were both far ahead of their time.
I saw a page from the new forum listed when I did a search yesterday. Google has indexed some of it already, but it will take a bit longer for it to start showing up on the first page for most things. Could use the "site:" search parameter though to get to what they've indexed.
Well, if you're going to have Marx, you will also need Lenin ...
... or at least Lennon.
