As I have read if I have read it correctly the Cardassians will be added at some point and time but there are a few things I would like to see. First they need to be a complete independent faction like the Romulans should have been from the start but wasn't, Cardassians need be independent from the start from KDF or the FEDs. Alsi o would love to see this list of ships in the game warning might be a space taker. So let me now what you think is it a good idea or just garbage more cannon ships than non cannon. If you want more images I can all of theme except for the Damar Class. Still looking for its images.

So, do you have an actual Cryptic based source for your claim? If so please share it so we can all be happy. If not, please let us know so we can make sure that we temper our hope with the facts.

What you've read is RUMOR and GUESSES on the part of folks with high hopes for it to happen and little else to go with.
You can list any LINK you want here, but none of them will actually say what you want them to say as a fact.
The best we've ever had from Cryptic about the matter, was way back when Dstahl was still in charge and he only said that it is something They have considered but have in no way begun any work on.
(and that was way back in 2012, nothing else has been mentioned since)
Sorry to burst your bubble, but nothing Official about it has actually come from a Cryptic Employee to confirm your belief up to this point.

While it is listed as "upcoming_content" based on whats been said by cryptic over a long period of time you (which players have noted down and added to the wiki, note: players, not devs) should be aware that, specifics like that are always subject to change and there is always a chance that is a majority of it is a load of TRIBBLE. Not to mention that a lot of it is quite old and quite a bit has been changed since those details were put down on the wiki.
However I believe Geko said on priority live podcast said they are going to be revamping the cardassian arc in the near future so if this is infact the case then its possible even if its extremely remote its "possible" that you could see a playable cardassian character however if it is done, its likely not going to be on the scale of the Romulans.
There is also the detail of Cryptic NOT releasing faction ships, which means there is no Cardassian faction due to the fact their most iconic ship comes in a Lockbox. The timeships don't count, as they are themeatic for the Temporal Lockbox. Any way you look at it, a Galor is a Galor, and there is a hole in Cryptic's foot.

You can't take anything you read on the STO Wiki as complete truth. Most (if not all) of the upcoming stuff is speculation or rumour. Cardassians have been speculation for some time now, though there hasn't been any official mention of them except for (maybe) reworking their episodes over the coming months.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but we wont be getting playable Cardassians as quickly as you seem to think.
Nothing is confirmed unless done so by a Dev, and even then, it's subject to change.
Don't get me wrong, I think the inclusion of Cardassians would be great, but I also think the ship should have sailed long ago. From a storyline point of view, what logic is there in introducing a Cardassian faction after the Iconian have been defeated, and after we've visited and started exploring the Delta Quadrant?
Cardassians should have been released long ago, if not as their own faction, then as playable species unlocks. Cryptic have, in my opinion, failed every Cardassian fan here.
The mention of a possible Cardassian race in that linked wiki dates back to a Dec 2012 post or podcast, though the link appears broken, and remains questionable. If someone can fix the link, we can settle this debate.
As far as some new playable species/faction goes, they did recently mention (about a month ago in another podcast) that they would like to make a playable Liberated Borg/Borg Cooperative faction, but do not have any intention of doing it right away as they have other priorities before then.

We need to see a specific post from Cryptic, most likely from Salamiinferno, confirming it before it has a chance of happening.
And like all the others who have tried to tell you about the wiki, I'd love to see a Cardassian faction happen too.

There was anonther one that mentioned a Cardassian faction in relation as to why there aren't any further playable Cardassian ships, but the accessibility of old posts and blog entries from the old site really sucks after the move to "Vanilla".
