I am disappoint. Much sad.

or if you must expect something then at least expect the unexpected.
if nothing else the disappointments of players who expected to get the older summer event ships should prove you should never expect anything or plan for anything.
and this has been proved time and again one way or another, all you can do to stay happy is go with the flow.
even yesterday I planed to spend the evening playing sto and those plans were dashed when the servers went down and didn't come back till after I was in the land of nod.
When I think about everything we've been through together,

A.K.A. they took the same approach to Science that they did to the KDF and RR...make them crappy so they tank and they don't have to make anymore.
Look at the Scryer...ugly as sin and made it so you basically can only Sci or Intel...we all know you can't give up the two Tac abilities...the Dauntless...they made a Science Tac ship (lol) and gave it a healing trait, a hull healing trait (lol even more). Scryer isn't a horrible ship but it is definitely the most horrible looking Sci ship...and if you want to DPS in a Sci why spend 3k zen for the Dauntless when you can get the superior Tac MME for 2500 zen?

Personally, I think the Scryer is the second best looking intel ship.
The Fed cruiser looks like TRIBBLE, the KDF one should be taken behind the shed and put out of it's misery, and the Romulan one is almost as bad.
The escort is the best looking one though because it looks the least alien.
EDIT: Went and checked, the Faeht with the Alpha setup is fine

I think you are a bit mistaken on things. It's not that they don't care about science, they just want to make sure that only the feds get a T6 science ship to play with (or 4). If they put out a science ship for the summer event then KDF/Roms would have access to a T6 science ship and then people would not be forced into playing cryptic's preferred faction to actually have a science vessel.
Will I ever get a Science Vessel from a special event, that ideally is themed around a submarine, that may even be colored yellow?
That depends upon whether the Blue Meanies attack Captain Boob's Federation Symphony Orchestra Traveling Circus and Choir.

Sci focused or sci? There is a difference mainly the addition of subsystem targetting, scan and a secondary deflector.
Yeah... "sci focused" is not the same as a Science Ship. Nor is it submarine themed (diving into subspace, for example, as a variation on battle cloaking). Nor can it be painted yellow.
I'm with mustrum on this one, I wanted my yellow submarine. Why can't we all live in a yellow submarine (a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine)?
