Here is a topic I don't think anyone has talked about. so lets give it a spin.
What old TV show in your mind, would make a great MMO type game?
The sky is the limit with this one, and it's not limited to only scifi types. So lets here what you feel would be a great MMO game, and why.
I will pick an easy one in my book.
Babylon 5 - It would be great if this was made, and set after the events of the Shadow Wars. Has the factions, classes and story lines that would make this a great MMO.
Thundarr! the show had all sorts of random things and places that people looked at. But they didn't actually cover that much ground. there's literally the entire rest of the planet to explore.
Farscape has the ability to become a good mmo with good writers and smart developers to bring in some original farscape type of things you would expect to see. i mean you got the peacekeepers and scarrens holding the most precarious truce on record, you got history records of the peacekeeper evolution and cruicial history that has been lost that could have a serious impact later on. and although unlikely, a possiblity of getting humanity involved in some aspect. there is plenty of undiscovered potential to find in farscape.
babylon 5 is the same as well, you got the telepath war that was never shown but existed in canon, you got the drakh war and centauri freedom to work with i mean both are just a start from what could be a big break for an mmo to work from. plenty of alien races as well and maybe a revisit to old worlds. former vorlon and shadow worlds, imagine what they could of left behind...
there was a show called seaquest dsv as well there was some potential for underwater mysteries there as well, there was a game long ago called "deep fighter", although overlooked, i played it and enjoyed it. i think something similar could be made but for an mmo audience. overiously there is no going to the surface at any point to maintain the overal immersion of the series, but i can see people starting in tiny submersible fighters with a bubble cockpit and multiple rotary fans for speed and adjustment in the water, armed with plasma weapons and plasma rockets. there is alot of fictional element that could be added, in between all that water, fish and rocks.
a lot stuff can be turned into a good mmo/
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

I'd want to see us play strictly as freelancers, and make the gameplay similar to the game Freelancer. Play missions for factions, become a Drakh or ISA agent, attempt to plunder Shadow and Vorlon ruins for advanced tech, or become an interstellar Dust dealer.
I'd set it a little further in the future so that all the iconic ships would be more believable as old military hardware for purchase. But then we may lose out on actors from the show doing voice acting. Setting it's own course might be good though.
I'd love to see a Sliders MMO, but I'm not sure it would lend itself to the MMO model very easily. (maybe it would make a better FPS or RTS).
However, it would allow for a bunch of doppleganger characters (So many damn 'Picaard's running around...) and the devs could just keep reusing all the assets.
You start as a UEO crewman or an independent citizen. Work your way up to command your own submarine in a world where the oceans have become the frontier, with all the opportunities and violence of the Old West.
Quark (the 1970's tv show). Love to command my own garbage scow
Robotech (during the New Generation part, lots of possible story arcs)
Bubble Gum Crisis ( the original one) build/design your own special harduit/power armor. Fight in cities or some of the canon battlefields
Slayers, a humorous, tounge in cheek take on D&D.
The A-Team (tv series), covert action, building stuff from junk, people flying from explosions in slo-mo', and drugging BA with sleeping pills in his milk before flight. All kinds of awesome.

Steampunk/weird west where you get to play Secret Service, cowboys, native tribes, scientists mad and otherwise, megalomaniac geniuses or their powerful thugs. And you can choose from a variety of ethnic origins and back stories, possibly even some weird stuff like werewolves or steampunk robots. Earn horses and steam powered mounts, and for the right effort, a steampunk train will be both speed transportation and customizable home.
Expansion packs to include Mexico/Central America, Canada, and Pacific/Gulf sailing.
Oh...a game with factional warfare and the most entertaining forums ever!
The Addams Family / The Munsters MMO

That was my first thought as well. It would be awesome.
Also, Talespin. Pick your anthro cartoon critter, pick your career (pilot-for-hire, air pirate, Thembrian or Khan Industries Air Force pilot) build your plane and join the battle for Cape Suzette!

Too bad it will never happen...

Exosquad
Frame up! Join the Exo-Fleet or the Neo Sapien Order and pilot E-Frames in the battle for the Solar System.
Only if it has a Billy Joel soundtrack!

And I will counter with A.L.F. :P
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.

Seriously though, I could see Macross being an MMO.
