I think it's a shame what happened about that. The last proposed Firefly MMOG, DarkCryo's Firefly Universe Online (as a Firefly Fleet member I get all the gossip), seemed to be going to be very much a sandbox game - and that would actually have been a perfect fit. As I understand it Firefly, the series, hadn't really got an overarching story - that was rather the point; it was just, as the line is, "find a ship, find a job, keep flying". DarkCryo's plan seemed to reflect that in MMOG form - not much in the way of "missions" and no pre-baked "storyline" at all, instead the action was to be provided by free-style interactions between players, with "Roleplay XP" awarded for all kinds of activities and Alliance, Reaver and Browncoat groups trading, fighting and cutting deals among themselves. ( http://indiegamehq.com/ighq-interview-darkcryo-firefly-universe-online/ ) That sounds to me like a perfect fit for the IP and also, simply, a great change from the standard MMOG of a thousand reskins but the exact same system! (Reminds me a bit of Underlight. Anyone here know Underlight?)

How much of that does the new Firefly Online seem to have? They're giving out very little information about anything unless you subscribe to their stupid app. Is it basically a standard MMOG with Firefly window-dressing? Is it actually fully multiplayer at all?

    The Incredible Hulk.

You could play Banner or McGee. :)
Forty thousand people playing as the Hulk.

It'd look just like Marvel's MMO!

Macross would make a pretty epic MMO. So much scope. So many unanswered questions to make a story out of.

Plus super cool transforming space fighters.:D

Cowboy Bebop would make an awesome MMO.

    Indeed.

You could even pick your era: Classic (or the DYRL remake), Zero, 7, or Frontier.

Gundam would be a good choice for an MMO, too.

EDIT: And I wouldn't mind Cowboy Bebop, either, or even Outlaw Star. :D

I watched UFO when very young. Should someone ever make a game of it, as a player I'd insist on the fun, crazy early-70s look and feel of the thing, right down to magenta hair and typewriters acting as communications machines.

I would love to see a game made after the one season of Space: Above and Beyond!

Sugar dirt was prob. one of my fav. episodes of that series.
My mother always told me to walk away from a fight, The Marines taught me how.

    The Wild, Wild West

Steampunk/weird west where you get to play Secret Service, cowboys, native tribes, scientists mad and otherwise, megalomaniac geniuses or their powerful thugs. And you can choose from a variety of ethnic origins and back stories, possibly even some weird stuff like werewolves or steampunk robots. Earn horses and steam powered mounts, and for the right effort, a steampunk train will be both speed transportation and customizable home.

Expansion packs to include Mexico/Central America, Canada, and Pacific/Gulf sailing.

That was my first thought as well. It would be awesome.

Also, Talespin. Pick your anthro cartoon critter, pick your career (pilot-for-hire, air pirate, Thembrian or Khan Industries Air Force pilot) build your plane and join the battle for Cape Suzette!

SMALL WORLD! I want a TaleSpin mmo too! (and I mean seriously) Disney should make one.

The wild wild west would be cool but thanks to will smith, not enough people know about THE REAL SHOW.

It's not really a show, but i love to see a genuine mmorpg of Jurassic Park. I know that soon there is a mmorpg coming that involves dinosaurs, but somehow a Jurassic Park would be even more interesting... some thought about that:

    - 3 big islands that are being unlocked.. ( Isla Sorna , Isla Nublar, Site C ) Or/and one island that you spawn with level
1 before the accidents happen (safezone)
    - Multiple factions: Adventurers, Scientists, Lawyers, Hunters, etc
    - Transportation system, using the green / yellow electric cars on rails
    - Lot's of dino's
    - Dino pet's and trained combat dino's
    - Transportation equipment like bikes, jeeps that are customisable and deployable in combat
    - Each island has its headquarters, option to customize uniforms etc , just like STO
    - Specialisations ( for big dino's , fast dino's and smart dino's )
    - PVE and PVP
    - Missions like the movie, or missions where you have to escape dino's, mazes in the jungle etc..

If they make a game like this, ( YOU HEAR ME CRYPTIC! ) then take my wallet!

    Another one i would buy:

    Stargate Universe

    - Factions like Human, Asgard, Jaffa, Nox fighting against Wraith, Jaffa, Priors etc
    - Using "Squads" instead of guilds or fleet, like Sg-1 or Sg-2 etc.
    - Transportation system with gates to other worlds
    - Weapons, lots of weapons
    - Aircrafts, Spaceships
    - Homes
    - well i think the rest is easy imagineable.

How did no one mention G.I. Joe?
You can easily get away with having a bunch of players because its an army vs another army
    Factions: Joes, Cobra
Special characters: Ninjas, infiltrators, animal trainers, vehicle drivers

Stargate, Babylon 5, Farscape, Andromeda, Back to the Future (ok, it's a movie, but it could still pull off nicely).
FED ENG: FA Sirius Verax (USS Leviathan) , FED TAC (Delta): FA Adria Tyllex (USS Thunderblade) , ROM TAC: ADM Kill'ina (IRW Imperix Thrai) , KLING ENG (Delta): LT. GEN Ghol'Vaq Martok (IKS Qeh'Ral II) - 44th Fleet member
