I'm in a similar position really.

I have three Delta Recruits-one for each faction as well as two 'main' characters that are lvl 60. But even my Starfleet Recruit is still on the final few missions of the Romulan Mystery and will soon be beginning the Cardassian Struggle.

Both my KDF and Fed!Romulan Recruits are still in their faction-specific missions as Lieutenant Commander/Centurion.

In short, I'm in no position to be even contemplating doing replay missions.

I smell something fishy with this event and how it's started. If you haven't done it already, put on your tin foil hats, it's conspiracy time.

Yesterday at 11am Pacific we were sitting at 1% of tier 1 completed after the event had been live for more or less 24 hours.

    1%. 24 hours.

So today I log in and see we're at 25% of tier 1. 24 hours later and we made close to 25%? I call BS, someone over there saw how poorly this was going and is manipulating things behind the scenes.

Now, could it have been a reporting error? I suppose it could have been, but if that were the case, someone from Cryptic should have said something was amiss and they were going to fix it.

I think a single digit number for T0 at the end of the week would be too embarassing, so they decided to play with the numbers (they have either added a bit to the totel progress or lowered the number of required re-run's)
    ->totalyfishy
Beta, LTA, CE, Multiple preorder Versions, all Addon Packs except AoY, nearly all KDF/Rom and ~50% of all Fedships, over 25 LockboxShips, Endurer of Atari's "Year of Hell", but...
    unfortunately:

    NOT LOYAL ENOUGH!!!

Permit me to throw out an alternate interpretation that does not require an investment in kitchen consumables.

The patch went live in the middle of the day on Thursday. Most people are still at work or school. The truly dedicated players will hop on and grind their hearts out on a Thursday night when they have to be up in the morning, but not the majority, and this mission replay is not exactly motivational.

Friday at 11am Pacific, after 24 hours when you (correctly) recall the meter being at 1%, most people were still at work or school. It's not going to have changed appreciably overnight.

However, yesterday afternoon people started getting home for the weekend. People spent their Friday nights gaming. Of course the meter jumped dramatically.

Assuming only Muricans are playing the game ...

    Not that it'd matter ... it's still 1% within the FIRST 24h and 25+% within the NEXT 24h ...

PS : I'll give you a hint ... most of Europe went home for the weekend on Thursday because of "Labour Day" ...

Nope. Merely that since North American players represent the majority of the game's activity, they will have the most significant effect on the metrics.

Thank you for the unsolicited condescension, but I'm quite aware of that.

It doesn't change what I wrote.

Ah, never mind. There's no reaching someone who's determined to chew on that tasty, tempting tin foil.

You make a good argument. I won't disagree with what you said since it's logical and could be exactly what happened.

However, in prior weeks we saw a LOT more progress made in those first 24 hours than we did with this one. Same period of time, likely many of the same people playing, yet no where near the participation. There were a couple of weeks that we nearly had 50% or more of tier 1 finished in that first 24 hours. If indeed it was just a slow start then it does come back to part of what you said...
mission replay is not exactly motivational

This should be a big sign for the Devs to see that there simply has to be better rewards for replaying missions. Getting rid of the Skill Point penalty would make replaying more worth while. I've been told that SP is based off "average time" to complete a mission. Well, while replaying does mean you know more or less what to expect and can be better prepared for it, it really doesn't cut that much time off completing the mission. So you're basically doing all the work you did the first time, but with 25% or less of the reward.

That's almost like saying your first day on a new job pays you your normal rate of pay, but every day that you work after the first, you will only get 25% of your pay. Not many people are going to be sticking around that job for long.

Get rid of the mission replay penalty.

First 24 hours we didn't even get the flash across the bar thing when completing missions. Now it is doing that. So no. They didn't turn it on apparently for the first 18-24 hours.

Only your Delta Recruits doing mission replays count.

One of my senior Fleet officers suggested that the progress bar for this week's event was only posting once per day, so progress appears to be jumpy, at best. AFAIK, Delta Recruits can replay the current FE's for credit toward the goal; it's all I found interesting so far. However, I'm just halfway through the Cardassian story arc, mostly because of these irritating overlapping events. I hope to complete my Jem Hadar sets before the deadline, so I'll make a contribution eventually...

Wow - are you even trying?

Repeat the same missions again? Ugh, you have just stopped trying. Just put it back to pay to play I would respect you more for doing that, than all of the promotions without content that you have been doing.

    Yeah Contraband Turn-In = 2500 instead of 3000 Dil ... pretty disappointing ...

Meh...the best reward (Dil) was saved for last with the most agonizing requirements (Grinding recently done content)

    It's not bad.

Perhaps they should just have bonus Dil/Exp weekends with certain sets of missions getting the bonus? I'd love to see a "Breaking the Planet" weekend or soemsuch. (Just spitballing here)

Kudos to Cryptic for not only correcting for the false start to the dilithium bonus week, but for going the extra mile & giving the community full credit for the effort to reach a high bar (75% bonus instead of 50%). Thanks for the effort!
