That's what I was talking about, nothing about how many traits this or that, I just want an option loadout that simply said "load all ground personal and active ground rep traits.... Then when you were done just a "load all space personal and active space rep traits"
This would ofcoarse mean only the traits that you had access to in the first place. Just a simple switch is all.
Instead of having to manually pick each one wasting 5-10 mins of my time every time I go from Bug Hunt to Borg DC. Or even just doing a episode run that requires both space and ground at various parts of the mission, I said to hell with it and just kept the space traits active for a ground mission since it didn't take long to complete the mission.
Some people on this thread seemed to have missed that point, while some actually got it, and thanks for the replies for that.
Yeah all Ground and Space should be active simultaneously. They are seperate facets of the game and shouldn't interfere with each other in any way.

I honestly don't know anyone who runs around with the mixed. A lot of us just stopped even worrying about ground skills since its such a pain to to click everything one by one. But hey wasn't that the POINT of opening up skills in the first place because no one was taking ground skills.
AND WHILE THEY ARE AT IT - SEPARATE THE TRAIT LIST by space and ground or at least add a freaking sort. Toooooooooooooo many traits to scroll thru. That adds to the tedium of switching skills.
Devs say:
We keep the traits separate to maintain balance in PvE episodes.
Player:
Activates space traits for start of episode
Finishes space portion gets to ground and warps out
Changes traits to ground
Continues on ground with traits, finishes and gets to space portion again and warps out
Well, you know where this is going. They're not really preventing players from using both sets of traits on PvE content, just making it annoying as heck.
This feature needs to be implemented just for player's peace of mind.
While it has been covered, this along with the FPS/LAG are my two biggest quality of life changes needed in the game. Anytime you have to spend more time managing things a UI can handle, it turns into a bad design. I know this was not on purpose, but it is something the devs can do to make life better.

If your on the ground, the game should automatically select your preselected ground personal traits just like your taskbar would go from space to ground.
There was talk about having one set of traits for ground and one for space given by the devs. The forumites flamed it as a BAD thing and called devs all sorts of name for daring to give us this QoL option. So expect it to show up in 3 years with a dil cost now. Actually that was gonna happen reguardless...but honestly the amount of cryptic can do no right is staggeringly stupid on this board.

We should be entitled to full benefits of both ground and space traits separately.
It is a real royal pain to have to keep switching traits everytime you do ground or space visa-versa.
Come on cryptic, make it easier for us players please.
The current system is awful, please change it in the way mentioned already.
Because the players expected it to go the same way the rep ones went where we went from having 8 of our choice to having four of each.
8 of each to 4 of each. The rep nerf had nothing to do with splitting ground and space, since rep traits have always had separate ground and space for as long as the rep system has existed. The nerf was purely about stopping the increase of the trait slot count every time new reps are added (we'd be up to 14/14/7 now, under the old system). But for some reason, certain people just continue to bring up that red herring whenever the personal traits are discussed.

Bumping is spamming...will just tick the mods and devs off.
Besides, it was already covered by Geko in the PO219 podcast and subsequent threads that arose after that...
They don't want to force that.
Some species have access to 4-6 + 2, for 6-8 Space Traits.
Some species only have access to 2 + 2, for 4 Space Traits.
