Worst Season Ever

Iv been Playing STO for aobut little over a year not and I have to say the ending of Season 9 and the start of Season 10 is the worst ever. I have never and I mean never had this many problems ever before. If you name the problem I have problely had it. The most reacent problem was Battle group Omagea problem could not find the jump gate to get there I went to where it was sopose to be on my Map adn guess what no gate. I can not even go on in the story line with out going to that battle group So I am stuck. This Season which I very much have been waitting for has turned out to be a big and I mean Big disappointment. Every turn problems nothing but problems. There are so many problems that is tures people off playing STO because it not worth the stress. And here I thought this War was going to be a good Season guess I was wrong.

    There may not be a gate there, but going to the location on the map allows you to jump to the task force, I just tried.

    Really shows that you haven't been around for long. Every season started out with severe problems and a hand full emergency patches espceially when the revamped something big as the sector space now.

    The reason the Gate to Battlegroup Omega isn't there is because you can fly straight to BGO. Just check the upper right

    so.. typical cryptic quality then, another satisfied customer it seems. :D

    for me ive been around since the end of 2010, ive seen a number of seasons, i never liked the crossfire season, i still dont like the crossfire season. that counts up there as a bad apple, but it isnt a rotten apple like season 8, now that was a disaster site as far as i am concerned, i mean, dinosaurs with lasers on their heads? what is this, trek online or jurassic park online?

    There are always bugs with season launches... And the BGO issue you mentioned was addressed in less than 24 hours.. Considering the normal time it can take to fix things sometimes thats very efficient. This is far and gone from the worst season launch ever.. Typically the first few days the game is unplayable from lag and disconnects.. I had barely any i think my connection dropped once and nearly no lag to speak of that broke the gameplay so far

    I totally agree on that one. For me Season 10 works out just fine so far and compared to delta rising feels like a vocation inside a game I like to play. A bunch of new stuff but nothing overwhelming. I like it.

    Bugs or server problems have actually been on the low side for me compared to the past and 3 patches 3 days in a row show me that they care and sort things out for the release.

    From me season 10 and the dev team gets thumbs up for a change.

    In terms of zero content season 10 is by far the worst yet.

    Season 9 is still the most horrible season ever though seeing as the game is still ruined by it - at least season 10 you can ignore

    Y'all need to look back a few season more for worst ever. I know this because Crossfire is still the worst ever, season ten eh second.

    Since people on ESD aren't always very helpful, hop on your KdF character and ask any questions you might have in Q'nos zone chat. For the most part, people are helpful there and should be able to answer your questions.

    Exactly... you can't really call Season 10 the worst ever because 2 missions and 3 queues really isn't something that's in your face.

    As far as bugs and glitches... that's pretty much always been a constant thing and not surprising every time they make significant changes to the game.

    For someone who isn't really into the queues I have to ask... "What war?" LOL

    Its been ok for me so far. The new episodes are good, if abit difficult.
    Not come across any bugs as yet.

    The OP states he has been here for about a year. That means he might have been here for Season 8.5, but was surely here for 9, 9.5, and 10. He was also here for the Expansion Pack, which is not a Season and should not be compared to Seasons.

    Season 8.5 added 1 Mission: A Step Between Stars, the Load-out System, and a revamp of the KDF Fed mission arc.

    Season 9 added 1 Mission: Surface Tension, Undine Rep with 3 queues, a revamp of Rep payouts and Traits, and a revamp of the Borg mission arc.

    Season 9.5 added new Crafting System, removal of Star Clusters, and Oddy uniforms became standard wear.

    Season 10 added 2 new FEs, 3 new STFs, Iconian Rep, and a revamp of Sector Space.

    I really do not see how Season 10 has been worse then any other Season.
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    It's really been a long time since loadouts were introduced, hasn't it? Makes one wonder when it'll finally work properly....

    It's going to take a LOT to best seasons 4 and 5 as "worst season ever".

    Where DR went smooth, this latest update for sure threw things around.
    Still, save for the MANY hours lost on my side, I am not complaining.
    I love the 2-part episode, I did not have any problems myself, heck, I leveled a character from ziltsch to level 27, and appx. halfway the story arcs on the Klingon side in a single run.

    I was on a roll, and then the message: We'll be shutting down the game in 30...

    Heh bah.

    But I guess it's a necessary evil?
    Ashame though...

    And I am already very low on valium (only 4 packs left). XD

    I wouldn't call this the worst season

    just.........................Blaaaaa and will be very forgetable

    The lock box ships are OP as expected if you like flying alien trash

    Oh, yeah? Well I was playing even before Cryptic announced they bought Perpetual's Star Trek license! It was all in my head, but I was playing it. :D

    Season 10 the worst? You're fortunate you were spared the horrid launch that was Season 4: Crossfire... :rolleyes:

    Don't worry OP when Season 10.5 is release it will be the worst season ever.

    However, that is going to be superseded by Season 11 when it is released... And again when Season 11.5 is released. And so on and so forth....

    Just be ready to re-create this same topic when those seasons are released.

    Every single STO Season patch has been touted as "The WORST Season EVER!!11" by someone. Welcome to MMOs.

    Spring is my worst season, everything pollinates and allergies kick into overdrive.

    Someone mentioned season 8 as worst season because of dinos with lasers, while I agree the theme is silly, the ground zone is quite fun and beats the hell out of their kobali ground zone with a 9 iron.

    Season 4, crossfire, this was bad, cause I cant even remember how bad it was.

    Season 9, more health for the enemy more damage to negate the dps opness we have, plus extending out experience to the point of no return.

    Season 9 for me was the worse, it was like getting to spin the wheel and having to ride a donkey backwards tied up into the desert with a big mask thing on my head.

    And despite the vivid history of Cryptic launch fails, they refuse to learn from their own experience, and continue to TRIBBLE out shoddy work year after year, hoping that they can contain the wildfire of dissatisfaction before too many players just unplug it... :(

    Their are always bugs with a season launch in STO, that's a more accurate statement.

    I see this in zone chat all the time, name me one game that doesn't have this many bugs, "all" mmo's have this many bugs, coding is the hardest job ever in the whole wide world cut them a break.

    If you don't sub you cant complain, if you pay them money it's your own fault.

    I have been gaming for over 35 years now, and sadly this new status quo for gaming quality has brought players to this destination.

    Most players spouting the drivel I typed above have never actually played a well coded relatively bug free MMO, so they are clueless and just spout hot air.

    Games have seriously declined in quality as a general result.

    This is the "only" beef I have with STO, I have gotten my money back on my LTS, the ship(s) I purchased from the C-store were indeed my own decision.

    However when I pay for something, or invest into something I "expect it to work", if it doesn't, someone is dropping the ball on quality.

    Supposedly developers, coders, go to school for this stuff, just like I went to school for my trade, people expect me to know how to do my job right, or they call someone else.

    Then, now, it's just as unacceptable one way or another.
