when im stuck or just cant play the game. (had a bad arm and couldn't play for a few months)
I go to u-tube to get help finding a hidden reward or just to see what the next mission is going to be. some of the tubers I like to watch are. The 1st ones my fav.

just find this one yesterday. only seen one weapons rundown vlog. but he did a very good review of all torpedo weapons.
are there any other u-tubers anyone would recommend for finding hidden loot or just to watch for entertainment. or do you yourself have a channel to plug.
PS not all vlogs are STO related some of these people do mixed gaming on there channels.

In case anyone doesn't get my humor: The title says "witch" instead of which.
Support 90 degree arc limitation on BFaW! Save our ships from looking like flying disco balls of dumb!
and shameless self plug; my own channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClzHpDWJKgva7SI0Z70L32Q?view_as=public
He has a dry wit that I find very appealing.
R.I.P. Leonard Nimoy
However I haven't watched Yuzral in a good while because it seems that he stopped making ship reviews.
"Let them eat static!"
I only needed one channel for consistent STO vids... though sometimes I scower for other opinions on some ships he hasn't reviewed yet.
Ive been to both channels and have yet to find anything of real use when trying to learn about new things in the game.
As much as I dont agree with the Anti-DPSers. Most of the vids Ive watched on the channel, admittedly i havent watched all of them, are more about you showing off how much DPS you can do.
Yet to see anything comprehensive from your vids.
Are you serious? Ryan's videos are almost all about helping people and showing them the mechanics of the game!
He provide a lot of useful information in his videos. That is especially the case when he reviews starships since he reads off the stats of the starship and gear. That means I can simply have has video playing on my secondary monitor while I focus on other things when I am on my PC. It's a good thing he does not have a monotone voice.
I also watch Mybalkangaming's videos as well if I want another person's opinion of a starship.
And yet the ones that I have seen have no talking at all. So unless hes psychically transmitting that information I dont see where that information is coming from.
Again. I havent seen all of the videos. But the ones I have seen left me looking elsewhere for what it is I was after.
MyBalkanGaming is great. I don't have enough time to keep up with a ton of subscriptions, so he is the only gaming vlogger I follow.
(Plus it is also fun once in a while to see if my paltry Russian skills will help me at all with Croatian, on his non-English stuff. )

Ryan's are... okay... if you're a part of the DPS chasing crowd... I guess. Each of his "instructional" videos are usually about how much damage can you pump out, and it get's old and repetitive after a while if you don't have that same mindset.
Heh, pretty much the only one that I'll watch from time to time. Most folks I can't get past 2-3 seconds of them talking before I'm reaching to X out the tab.
One of the things I like about his vid's is he's going for a variety of themes .
Among my faves :
A gorgeous revisiting of the Romulan storyline :
https://youtu.be/DRDerXFcXiY
The Summer Event , party style :
https://youtu.be/TO5_9Gv0gbg
I miss the times when Cryptic promoted their sales of ships with videos dedicated to each ship .
Think of this a kind of a crammed together advert (but a cool one) :
https://youtu.be/9IcKySCI4Qs
- He also has a sort of Machinima style "universe" of sorts , which produces some cool vids too :
The Intro (who's who) :
https://youtu.be/wEAJmNIRfYI
The most adorable STO vid ever :
https://youtu.be/MP2Ah0_RHyQ
This is how The Prophets should be written ... -- confusing as hell but with a touch of meaning :
(also , never agree to a ride from a Caitian ...:P) :
https://youtu.be/-B3jPRKIrhE
Another short story of a ... dubious nature :
https://youtu.be/aXSCu9cYHWM
All in all , definitely a talent Cryptic should employ ... , and if not employ , at least give him more ships to use in his vids !!!
... now raise your glass , if your're wrong in just the right way ...
I don't know what video you got this idea from, but I have never seen any evidence on that. Part of the reason I really like Brent Justice's videos is because he views things in the eyes of an average player. His videos do tend to run a little long though.
Anyways as well as Brent Justice I really enjoy MyBalkenGaming's videos. He talks in a way that it is extremely easy to understand him plus he is just generally entertaining. Also one I have not seen mentioned yet (and I might of just missed it as I only scanned the previous post) is Boomer2k6. He has some really good videos, especially lately. I just started watching The Razor's Edge's Ships of the line and so far I am enjoying it. I looked forward to more of them. STOunrefined has some pretty good videos as well. I also watch Priority One Network on the rare occasion that post a youtube video. I know I am forgetting someone I just can't think of it right now, but honestly I pretty much enjoy most STO content I come across on youtube.
All of them. Any time I've seen people try to give him tips he basically craps all over them. Like when people tell him that EPS Transfer isn't the most important stat in the game and that he shouldn't be wasting console slots boosting it.
The average player doesn't buy every C-Store ship the day of release and proceed to do 45-minute videos about them.
When do people try to give him tips? I usually watch youtube videos with my PS3 so I don't have access to the comment section. Is it there?
I am not even going to respond to this.
Yuzral always makes some good points in his videos. I am happy that you watch those videos because of that.
I enjoy Yuzral's foundry frolics and tribble timewarps.
Arthur Voyagerseven makes some pretty cool "cinematic" STO gameplay videos.
Brent Justice. Though sometimes he likes to make mountains out of molehills.
There are other ways to look at what he offers, even for those who dont chase damage.
At somepoint, we all need to beat a hard mission alone. Whether in an uber decked out scimitar, or a just for rp Connie. Knowing how to get a bit more damage will help both the DPs chaser and the space barbie lover.
All total we have only so many traits, skill points and gear slots. The more efficient i can be with some of those limited resources, the more room i have to fit in stupid junk and still have a build that works good enough to handle advanced queues.
I don't aim for breaking 50k, but I certainly don't want to be the reason my team fails.
The best part for me are his tips on piloting, because that helps me get the most out of whatever gear i am using. Good, bad, or horrible.
Learning some tricks here and there, and staying up on how things are changing allows me to have, for example, my ferasan with zero traits, zero skill points, and only mission reward gear (no rep, no fleet, no upgrades) doing reliably over 9k and up to 14k from time to time.
And it let's me know how to squeeze mask energy signature onto a fed ship with phasers (not antiprotons, shock and horror) to pretend I have a cloak for rp purposes, but still carry my weight when I'm with fleetmates who need me to.
So, ya, Ryan's not just for DPs chasers.
This post brought to you by frungi, the sport of kings. (It kinda felt like an ad so I had to toss that in)
MyBalkanGaming and Brent Justice for more informational videos.
Yuzral for both entertainment and information.
-Edmund Blackadder-
I do watch Brent Justice from time to time for the ship reviews, since Yuzral doesn't seem to do those anymore, and some STF content. Something I have to give Brent credit for, is he is really quick about getting videos up when there's new content out, be it on Holodeck or even on Tribble.
