2nd- MyBalkanGaming https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdmnKvmDeD69ddvpjUCa0Gw
this one I think just plays with no voice over

3rd- Nyzam45 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCG5OSKDe95MZKNvX6rZrzRA

are there any other u-tubers anyone would recommend for finding hidden loot or just to watch for entertainment. or do you yourself have a channel to plug.

I like the one with the wart on her nose, that flies around on a broom at night, and uses potions and spells. :P

Mybalkangaming and Yuzral. Watch both of them for ship reviews and (in Yuzral's case) for Tribble preview videos.

However I haven't watched Yuzral in a good while because it seems that he stopped making ship reviews.

    The Doctor, aka Brent.

I only needed one channel for consistent STO vids... though sometimes I scower for other opinions on some ships he hasn't reviewed yet.

Ive been to both channels and have yet to find anything of real use when trying to learn about new things in the game.

As much as I dont agree with the Anti-DPSers. Most of the vids Ive watched on the channel, admittedly i havent watched all of them, are more about you showing off how much DPS you can do.

Yet to see anything comprehensive from your vids.

Are you serious? Ryan's videos are almost all about helping people and showing them the mechanics of the game!

Been watching a lot of Brent Justice's videos lately. Used to watch William Shiat but his output has fallen off. He only recently uploaded some new stuff after disappearing for 2 months

I like the Doctor's (Brent Justice) channel the most. It was his channel I came across when just doing some random search on Star Trek and found about STO.

He provide a lot of useful information in his videos. That is especially the case when he reviews starships since he reads off the stats of the starship and gear. That means I can simply have has video playing on my secondary monitor while I focus on other things when I am on my PC. It's a good thing he does not have a monotone voice.

I also watch Mybalkangaming's videos as well if I want another person's opinion of a starship.

And yet the ones that I have seen have no talking at all. So unless hes psychically transmitting that information I dont see where that information is coming from.

Again. I havent seen all of the videos. But the ones I have seen left me looking elsewhere for what it is I was after.

MyBalkanGaming is great. :) I don't have enough time to keep up with a ton of subscriptions, so he is the only gaming vlogger I follow.

(Plus it is also fun once in a while to see if my paltry Russian skills will help me at all with Croatian, on his non-English stuff. ;) )

Out of all the channels linked so far, I stick with The Doc and Thissler. I like Brent because he's super casual and has a good attitude about everything, and he's fairly consistent with his output. Thissler is the one that got me to make a KDF character. His Marmot Alpha-Strikers videos are very well informed and he's got a good sense of humor... two huge pluses for any YT content creator.

Ryan's are... okay... if you're a part of the DPS chasing crowd... I guess. Each of his "instructional" videos are usually about how much damage can you pump out, and it get's old and repetitive after a while if you don't have that same mindset.

I too watch Yuzral. He's the only one these days, though. My fleet leader, AlchemistiD, used to make videos. But he ran into a myriad of issues and had to put his LP on indefinite hold. I also used to watch Brent Justice (I refuse to call him The Doctor, for he does the character such an injustice). But his voice is boring, his builds are mediocre, his content is samey, and he acts like he's the best player in the game. I could no longer tolerate him, so I unsubscribed.

Thissler. one of the few STO video-makers I watch, and one that usually has pretty good advice.

Heh, pretty much the only one that I'll watch from time to time. Most folks I can't get past 2-3 seconds of them talking before I'm reaching to X out the tab.

Yuzral , MyBalkanGaming and Thissler are fun to watch , but as someone who since the late 90's enjoys music videos of various themes (Transformers , B5 , Trek) , my all time STO related favorite is Starfish1 .

One of the things I like about his vid's is he's going for a variety of themes .

    Among my faves :

A gorgeous revisiting of the Romulan storyline :

    https://youtu.be/DRDerXFcXiY

The Summer Event , party style :

    https://youtu.be/TO5_9Gv0gbg

I miss the times when Cryptic promoted their sales of ships with videos dedicated to each ship .
Think of this a kind of a crammed together advert (but a cool one) :

    https://youtu.be/9IcKySCI4Qs

    - He also has a sort of Machinima style "universe" of sorts , which produces some cool vids too :

    The Intro (who's who) :

    https://youtu.be/wEAJmNIRfYI

The most adorable STO vid ever :

    https://youtu.be/MP2Ah0_RHyQ

This is how The Prophets should be written ... -- confusing as hell but with a touch of meaning :
    (also , never agree to a ride from a Caitian ...:P) :

    https://youtu.be/-B3jPRKIrhE

Another short story of a ... dubious nature :

    https://youtu.be/aXSCu9cYHWM

All in all , definitely a talent Cryptic should employ ... , and if not employ , at least give him more ships to use in his vids !!! :D

... now raise your glass , if your're wrong in just the right way ... ;)

I'm a big fan of Yuzral and his stuff and he is branching out. Has a couple War Thunder and a World of Tanks video up at his channel now along with other LPs. I appreciate his wit and humor in regards to Star Trek and lampshading stuff from the series itself.

I don't know what video you got this idea from, but I have never seen any evidence on that. Part of the reason I really like Brent Justice's videos is because he views things in the eyes of an average player. His videos do tend to run a little long though.

Anyways as well as Brent Justice I really enjoy MyBalkenGaming's videos. He talks in a way that it is extremely easy to understand him plus he is just generally entertaining. Also one I have not seen mentioned yet (and I might of just missed it as I only scanned the previous post) is Boomer2k6. He has some really good videos, especially lately. I just started watching The Razor's Edge's Ships of the line and so far I am enjoying it. I looked forward to more of them. STOunrefined has some pretty good videos as well. I also watch Priority One Network on the rare occasion that post a youtube video. I know I am forgetting someone I just can't think of it right now, but honestly I pretty much enjoy most STO content I come across on youtube.

All of them. Any time I've seen people try to give him tips he basically craps all over them. Like when people tell him that EPS Transfer isn't the most important stat in the game and that he shouldn't be wasting console slots boosting it.

The average player doesn't buy every C-Store ship the day of release and proceed to do 45-minute videos about them.

When do people try to give him tips? I usually watch youtube videos with my PS3 so I don't have access to the comment section. Is it there?

I enjoy Yuzral's foundry frolics and tribble timewarps.

Yuzral. I very much enjoy his kind of humor and his sharp remarks when something isn't really working as it should. He's an intelligent and very well informed reviewer.

Brent Justice. Though sometimes he likes to make mountains out of molehills.

There are other ways to look at what he offers, even for those who dont chase damage.

At somepoint, we all need to beat a hard mission alone. Whether in an uber decked out scimitar, or a just for rp Connie. Knowing how to get a bit more damage will help both the DPs chaser and the space barbie lover.

All total we have only so many traits, skill points and gear slots. The more efficient i can be with some of those limited resources, the more room i have to fit in stupid junk and still have a build that works good enough to handle advanced queues.

I don't aim for breaking 50k, but I certainly don't want to be the reason my team fails.

The best part for me are his tips on piloting, because that helps me get the most out of whatever gear i am using. Good, bad, or horrible.

Learning some tricks here and there, and staying up on how things are changing allows me to have, for example, my ferasan with zero traits, zero skill points, and only mission reward gear (no rep, no fleet, no upgrades) doing reliably over 9k and up to 14k from time to time.

And it let's me know how to squeeze mask energy signature onto a fed ship with phasers (not antiprotons, shock and horror) to pretend I have a cloak for rp purposes, but still carry my weight when I'm with fleetmates who need me to.

So, ya, Ryan's not just for DPs chasers.

This post brought to you by frungi, the sport of kings. (It kinda felt like an ad so I had to toss that in)

Nyzam45 has a lot of playthroughs that are rather funny, and some good tutorials. He has one with all weapon types (at the time) and one with all torps.

MyBalkanGaming and Brent Justice for more informational videos.

Yuzral for both entertainment and information.

Count me as another Yuzral fan. His old, old videos about making a STF-ready escort on the cheap were a huge help to me when it came to figuring out some of the basic mechanics of this game, and I've been keeping tabs on his STO videos ever since. His dry wit is a definite bonus, especially when he's playing through story content, or picking apart things that aren't working right. :D

I do watch Brent Justice from time to time for the ship reviews, since Yuzral doesn't seem to do those anymore, and some STF content. Something I have to give Brent credit for, is he is really quick about getting videos up when there's new content out, be it on Holodeck or even on Tribble.
