account server time out, can't log in

I actually cannot log in, the laucher report: "Unable to authenticate: Connection to the account server timed out"

    Same here:

    "Connecting to the account server..."

    (hangs there for a bit, then)

    "Connection to the account server timed out."

    From the Twitter feed, they're aware of it.

    Same issue. Logged in fine, played for about an hour, went to switch characters and got bumped to the login screen and now I get

    "Unable to authenticate: Connection to the account server timed out"

    What's amusing is that the "time out" is instantaneous. This feels like speed dating. Give me a chance, STO, I swear I have a nice personality.

    I thought maybe my laptop was having an issue, but it looks as though I am not alone. Guess I'll have to find something to do while I wait.

    I am having the same issue. It was working perfectly fine. I was doing a mission when it crashed. Then this started up. I know I am putting in the right password. What ISP do you guys have? Maybe there is a common connection. Some ISPs have been known to block connection to certain servers and it causes a chain reaction which can result in multiple sites and servers being blocked that shouldn't be. I have Comcast.
