OK, so Al "Captain Geko" Rivera tweeted on Saturday afternoon that we had unlocked Tier 1 ahead of their projections. :cool:
As of a few moments ago, we have already cleared Tier 2 and are at 19% completion towards Tier 3. :eek:
Way to go Players!!!!

that can't be true. if it was that would mean thier metrics is wrong, and that can't be.

This actually wouldn't surprise me, given Cryptic's track record. They might even call the players who are already done leveling exploiters/cheaters and roll back their recruits and take away their rewards. :rolleyes:

There's also player fatigue and whatever the new requirements are for raising the bar. This week was First Episode play. What's next? Complete missions of one arc multiple times (Q forbid it's the Cardassian arc)?
And then there's whatever the weekly goal's bonus is, such as unlocking weeklong R&D bonus or weeklong Old FE replay bonus (each tier being 1 additional old FE Replay and its rare items), which will affect who's motivated to play DRs instead of existing accounts.
People will likely burn out by the 3rd or 4th week, and might not even get to T2, maybe not even T1 after a point.
Which would be well within projection of Cryptic's parameters; they wouldn't even need to nerf anything nor raise the bar; the players' endurance will resolve it for them.
they probably based their projections on all the doomsaying from the forums before the event started :rolleyes:
To be fair they always under estimate how many people show up for their major event things.
Its why the sever always breaks.
Maybe next week's goals will be "Get a Delta Alt to Level 50"? That would be easy to do on a Double-XP week.
So as I think lots of pple have also complete it, except creating new character to earn story arc bonus on kdf or fed the progress may not complete to tier 3

It's proving to be a nicely popular event. It's a wicked grind if you think about it logically - however - I find it a fun grind so it is not bothersome.
So we exceeded the expectations slightly. Tier 3 will be a longshot.

That would require some real dedicated hardcore grinding of DR alts (whether deleting and redoing the DR alt, or creating another DR alt in a spare character slot). Especially through the TRIBBLE that is the Cardassian Arc.
The event does say that the higher level missions reward more points than lower level missions so it is not as simple to base Tier 3 progress on what was achieved at the beginning of the event.
The tooltip says nothing about higher level missions. What you see as Higher Tiers is saying that the farther we reach, the more of a bonus we'll get.

Although by that logic shouldn't the T6 Galaxy be able to solo Hive Elite on auto-fire?
I am already onto tier 3
Grinding from level 1 to 35+ is very easy over a long weekend
I'm getting up early to keep working on Recruit No. 2 though to do my bit to get us closer
I have started a new character, and I love how the Iconian mission is weaved in the missions. I very much like telling Scotty.
I also played when SWTOR had their huge XP boost so you could level a character purely on storyline missions. But I like this Delta Recruit even better because of the extra Iconian mission.

Has he tweeted that because of this they are rescaling the DR progress bar to be 'in line' with Cryptic's projections yet?:eek::D;) (And I bet he's honeltly considering it.)

And you're probably right.
I'm sorry, I know how this thread must look to you guys, but at the same time please try and understand why we think this way. I won't go into specifics, there is enough vitriol on the forum already.. which I myself have contributed to, but there is a reason we automatically jump to the 'they're going to nerf us' mentality. Some of it's fair, some might not be.
You likely won't even read this, which is fine.. but if you do, the Delta Recruitment stuff has been quite fun so far and a lot of us are enjoying it. We're progressing because we're having fun and enjoying the content and the rewards. A lot of what you guys are doing is great which is why we keep playing.
Just wait till the recruits hit the Delta Quadrant. That will be the end of any progress on the meter bar!

Hey Borticus, I was wondering earlier, did you devs place bets on how fast and how far we'd push the server progress bar?

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!
Currently, we are at Double XP bonus starting on Thursday or whenever Cryptic decides to start it. If we can get to Tier 3, then it will be a 2.5x XP bonus.
