That's probably a mistake in the blog. The D'Khellra mentions a Battlecloak in the ingame C-Store. Can't yet say for sure about the Negh'Tev.

Because Command ships were a Three pack for each faction --> they are Fleet ships. Normal single C-store ships aren't Fleet (like the Guardian, Mat'Ha, Qib, Aelahl, Intrepid...).
And hey, when you compare their Fleet versions (surprisingly also released today) with Command ships, you'll notice the KDF and ROM variants only slightly fall behind. And that's only because the Command ships have the hangar bay they shouldn't have had in the first place and thus are slightly OP.
The Andromeda/Galaxy is a different story. This lineage has always been far behind unless you needed really many eng slots and nothing else. I'd still say it's starting to catch up slowly thanks to the very much requested Lt.Comm. Tac station.

As I pretty much hate the KDF Command ship looks and also hate the Qib look, the Negh'Tev is finally a battlecruiser I can use (well, I'll use the Negh'var and Vod'leh looks, the Negh'Tev skin doesn't seem pleasing to me either from the screenshots).
When it comes to Command cruisers, their advantage (over any battlecruisers) is the hangar bay and the inspiration mechanic. But they're a tad less manoeuvrable and miss the battlecruiser comm arrays (the manoeuvrability buff and wep power drain decrease).
Also, the Command cruisers' consoles are actually useful as they have passive stat buffs.

That was pretty much a given, I guess. In STO, where typos unfortunately are nothing new or rare, it was much easier to believe that this was, in fact, a typo rather than the cloaks being stripped from a Klingon and a Romulan ship which already had them in their previous iterations in-game.
Okay, I like this new T6 Andromeda Class Galaxy ship. And I love that its on sale, but what makes me hesitant to buy it is that I am a tactical Capt. and I know I should fly escorts, but I like cruisers and doing as much dmg in them as possible, while being able to take a beating in pve. I have the galaxy bundle and before T5u came along, I used the Galaxy X, not the galaxy. It could tank almost just as well, but it also put out more dmg. So basically what I want to know is, will there be a T6 Galaxy X Dreadnought? I dont want to buy the T6 Andromeda and find out a week later that there will be a Andromeda Dreadnought, but at the same time I want to take advantage of the current sale, if there will be no dreadnought. So please, Cryptic, at least announce if there will or wont be a T6 Andromeda Dreadnought!!

Pixels are expensive It really is amazing how expensive these ships are. (Looks around for White Knights carrying the banner of "Cryptic needs to make money, this is not a charity").
Come on Cryptic! Your attempts at getting people to cough up exorbitant amounts of cash for ships of little gameplay value are pathetic. Seriously, $30 for what amounts to lame re-skins? PULEEZE!
Here's a better idea: FIX THE PROBLEMS THAT ALREADY EXIST IN THE GAME!
Your revenue is dropping not because of the ships, (although Roms could use more choices), but because your game is seriously borked!
Constant drops, constant rubberbanding, "killer" weapons like the lance that just suck, issues like a time travel mission where a decades old Klingon ship is a match for a modern Fed starship - just really stupid TRIBBLE like that. And please, drop the "the connection issues are on your end" BULL----! This is the ONLY game I play where the dropping and rubberbanding exist and FAR TOO MANY people have complained on these forums about them for them to be issues on the player's end!!!
FIXING your existing issues would go a long way towards getting new players, not stupid window dressing on ships and most of the other new crud you've come out with the last two years.
Of course, I am not even sure why I am bothering to type this. All of this stuff has been mentioned for a LONG time now on these forums and you haven't done a dang thing to address them. If it wasn't for the fact that I paid for a lifetime subscription, I'd have dumped this game a long long time ago.

I was thinking along similar lines. If I were to get the Command ships I would want the pack just to kitbash a decent looking ship, while for less than half price I could get the Negh'Tev, use it until something better comes along, maybe a T6 Mogh or something, since they are now doing T6 refits of existing ships which I thought wasn't going to happen. I also think the Qib looks terrible, more like something the Klingons would built in the 27th or 28th century opposed to the opening of the 25th.

T- 6 all is good with T 6. If that would actualy mean to be able to fly standard (Advanced) STF'S alone . But noooo.
It means ugly retrofit, of an already ugly and failed skinmodell, of a legendary Star Trek Starship, that will be bought by some rich Zen snob, that cant even equip his stupid Starship right and thinks :"Oh im a T 6 owner. I play this teamplay game as i deem fit..."
Instead you just could have corrected all graphical and physicall errors on the Star Trek iconic ships and made some nice T 4 updates for the classic ships.
All would be pleased.

They corrected the galaxy skin and the negh'var skin. They also added the Vod'leh skin. That's as much as you could possibly hope for when it comes to a new ship release.
Mind you those fixes apply to all lower Tier versions of the ships as well. No need to buy anything new.

If you're talking of the Andromeda, then yes, it can equip the saucer sep and antimatter spread. Those are actually parts of its set. The cloak however shouldn't be equippable on this. Just wait for the T6 Galaxy-X for the cloak.

Yeah, I think I'm in a similar position... waiting for exactly the one thing I specifically want.
These ships are very nice aesthetically (a matter of personal taste), and I really do want to thank the dev team for releasing a Cross Faction Bundle with a ship for each faction. I tend to prefer playing on the KDF end, though, so it just bugs me that the Negh'Tev was left out of any potential set bonus (even one using the lock box Antimatter Spread and Projected Singularity). That little thing is what's keeping me from buying in right now.
Maybe I'll get the Command Ships when they do the next ship sale; those were also cross-faction and properly balanced in capability, though I do prefer the Iconic art. Then again, maybe they will patch in the Antimatter Spread to the KDF/Rom set options and the Projected Singularity to the Fed/KDF set options. Of course, with the Pilot Specialization incoming something like a Multi Vector could be on the horizon, or something else entirely, and that might be exactly what I've been waiting for the whole time. Ah the possibilities the future holds... I should ask my 18 months in the future self.

Please tell me why a T6 ship is worth 30?? ...that's an extortionate amount of money to be honest, at least give people something more to do with their severely overpriced new ship
Levelling from 50-60 is not fun and Lifetime Members get nothing once getting to max level yet they used to when level 50 was reached, most of my ships are obsolete and some of the ones that aren't upgradeable to T5U are baffling like the Odyssey Class that everyone got as a mission reward when it launched ....isn't that the Federation Flagship yet it's now useless and those poor Starfleet engineers can't figure out a way to bring them up to date with the newer ships in the fleet?? Oh wait there is 3 versions of this ship on the Zen store which I can get for 50 or 25 each and once I spend more money upgrading them they still wont be on a par with T6 ships!
How about not flooding the almighty Zen store with minimal ship updates for ridiculous money because at the moment it's a case of too many ships and very little to do with them, more content is needed.

I grew up with TNG so I considered just buying the Andromeda by itself since I own all of the other Galaxy variants along with the Dreadnaught, but I needed T6 ships for my KDF and Romulans. Though I do have the Kobali Samsar and Breen Sarr Theln for all my characters (excluding Delta Recruits), still I didn't have any proper T6 ships for them, and currently there is no way to get the Kobali or Breen ships for Delta Recruits.

Well my Negh'tev does have a cloak and my new DD has an enhanced battle cloak. Don't know what you're talking about.

If anyone else has this question, this is correct. You don't need to own any Galaxy to get the Galaxy skin.
