We have no beef with the Galaxy, Cryptic!

A big round of applause to the Devs for taking our suggestions seriously and giving us the ship we've always wanted. Oh, and the costume is very very nice too! Keep up the good work!

*Please keep comments in this thread positive. If you think there's an issue with the T6 Galaxy, try this thread. Thanks.*

    /hi5's for the thread title

    It took 5 years of constant badgering but it paid off, I have no real complaints about the T6 big 3. Traits kinda cruddy but beyond thats its all WIN. This turn around in cryptics directional heading has actually got me to spend money on the game again.

    and then every cruiser from here on in gets better stats than the T6 Gal....lol Just kidding congrats

    Not even close because now you have the people crying because they want a dreadnought version they should just allow us to put the dreadnought costume on the ship and call it a day

    Yeah this... or when as above said the next T6 cruiser comes out... people will start having a beef again about how the Galaxy sucks again...

    Hell people are already complaining because it doesn't have a 4th tactical console... you just can't make everyone happy all the time.

    well with the new galaxy tier 6 I am happy with the bridge layout. I somewhat agree with the no 4th tactical console but meh I can live with 3. But the downside I would say is the turn rate is still 6 but I love the new bridge officer layout.

    Andromeda looks amazing! (Thought I might swap out the body for the standard Galaxy one.)

    New Galaxy skin looks great too, good stuff!

    Not that much, most of the people that are behind the galaxy and galaxy x thread are very happy with the result, the guy you see complaining were not in these threads to support us along the way during the last 3 years.
    I am certainly in for a dreadnought version for sure, but i would like cryptic to take his time with it, i dont want a ship rush that come to soon, to be then quickly made obsolete.
    I hope that for once they do as usual with it, get it out later than the others ( remember the fleet gal x "long time developement" something like that)
    In between i will certainly make do with a galaxy tier6 with nice original skin and a lt commander tact^^

    The unreasonable entitlement will continue. People want 5 universal commander boffs, 20 tac consoles or BUST! So, the "beef" will never die ;)

    I completely agree with the OP! :)

    In fact, if you ask me - the mods can go on and close all the other Galaxy complaining threads we've maintained throughout the years and just leave this positve one where we would now happily discuss builds and tactics for our new T6 Galaxy Class, as well as the all inspiring canon debates. :)

    Yes ladies and gentlemen, we can finally eat our Galaxy beef at last. :D It served it's purpose well.

    And all the people complaining about this great ship - please stop, you're making all of us look bad. I can safely vouch that 99% of the people that kept the Galaxy 'thing' allive all these years are completely satisfied with this final result. This is all we ever wanted, maybe even a bit more. A nice versatile ship that will be fun to use. The proper awesome looking model from TNG. If you take a look at the last big Galaxy thread, it's all cakes, confetti and party poppers there now. We're very happy! :)
    If you have problems with this ship's layout, maybe you want to look into escorts instead of cruisers and just wait for that inevitable T6 Defiant that is bound to come soon.

    Devs. - you finally did this ship justice, you did good and you should feel good about it. I know I am.

    I have a beef, my Beef is that the new revamped model is actually a bit of lower quality, being more based on the 4 foot studio model instead of the 6 foot.
    And the phaser arrays seem to be of incredibly low quality, being very blocky and poorly textured.

    So why didn't the Galaxy-X get the updated skin? Or am I missing something? I reskinned my GX a few times, and it doesn't update.

    Yeah I want to say a massive thank you to Cryptic for doing this. It's perfect, exactly what I was wanting. I honestly don't mind if it takes longer to get the galaxy-x out, just think... Would you rather have a quick kit bash of the new skin or would you like the X done properly.

    The only thing that would have made the cherry on top would have been a nice new Galaxy interior with corridors and engineering just like voyager. That's just a minor little wish, I guess they'll do that if there happens to be a new featured episode featuring the gal.

    Thanks again Cryptic, now... lets get a good sovereign skin out there ;)

    They weren't working on the Galaxy-X when they did the model/skin update. Source: https://twitter.com/Cryptic_TtC/status/582993658024103937

    The Galaxy-X will probably get its treatment further down the line.

    After doing an Argala Patrol in my new Galaxy/Andromeda, to test it out, I can honestly say that is the most fun I've had in a Galaxy Class (not counting the Dreadnought) in a long time, well done Cryptic! :D

    In my opinion the Lt. Com Tac station and Lt. Com Command stations make it a most enjoyable ship to use, I'll be flying this one for a long time.

    Anyone put on the consoles for the Enhanced Engineering Systems Set? Does it provide a significant increase or is it more of a gimmick?




    Consoles in this set:

    Console – Universal – Molecular Cohesion Nullifier
    Console – Universal – Molecular Phase Inversion
    Console – Universal – Projected Singularity
    Set Bonuses:

    Enhanced Maneuvering Systems (2pc) – Passive
    +All Damage Resistance
    +Turn Rate
    +Engine Power
    Reinforced Shielding (3pc) – Passive
    +Maximum Shield Capacity
    +Shield Regeneration
    Reduces energy damage to shields

    Really? Your complaining about which studio model thay based it on? Its an improvement from what we had. If it offends the senses enough to have a beef with it, Cryptic can always give you back the previous model they used.

    Part of the reason the Galaxy beef existed was that her elder outclassed her.

    I have the two-piece (MCN and saucer sep) on my Andromeda. With the saucer popped the thing dances like my Avenger broadside build. (Okay, maybe not that fast, but it sure feels like it.)
