When I saw the Pathfinder released I immediately held off upgrading my Tier 5 D'deridex and Galaxy-class starships, and saved my already built up stipend each month. I now have enough to get both Tier 6 versions. Logical, no? :P
I like that it has the down-and-forward sweep to the wings and the new warp nacelles too... it looks more aggressive than the d'derp whale. I might just have to shift my design away from the t6 command battlecruiser megabundle to this little bundle. Im sure itll be a ton cheaper and still give me a t6 for each faction
$30 (plus $5 more for fleet when it comes) to take the F5U DD I already have an add one more boff station and an iffy trait. I think I'll stick to what I got.

Patience pays off. I didn't upgrade any of my Warbirds either, so it all works out.
Of the three ships being released, the D'D is my only Fleet T5-U, which makes replacing it a pain if the T6 doesn't come as fleet level. Though, with the expanded Pilot I might be able to eventually drop a RCS console. Not a fan of any of the three new models from what I've seen so far, but that doesn't matter with the classic skins being available. It's going to come down to specs, especially BOff layout, to see if I'm picking up the cross-faction three-pack.

I agree. As long as they give the same consoles +1 and the BOFF slots with the addition of making those slots hybrid, I will gladly shell out the cash for the "upgrade". I would be greatly disappointed if the new T6 versions did NOT have hybrid slots, especially as they have already announced that there will be pilot specialization BOFF skills and this is the perfect opportunity to add some.
I have a $25 Fleet D'Deridex its really great they are offering to sell me the same ship again for $30 really that's awesome it must be hard to top that kind of creative genius

And they're not building the game for you silly. The're building it for idiots like me who pay for new ships.
Too bad I already have a T5u Fleet D'deridex with a non-reclaimable red matter capacitor installed....:(
Can't you just pull the Red Matter Capacitor to inventory? I've not heard anyone with the single-character Red Matter Capacitor mention any sort of trouble with putting it on other ships on the same character. My Collector's Edition Red Matter Capacitor can be pulled off with no troubles without having to delete or reclaim.

I have the one they used to give away in the Live Streams, and yes, you can pull it off a ship and put it on any other ship that character has, so the RMC in of itself is not a reason to not buy a new ship.
That said, there are also plenty of reasons to not buy a new ship.
I'm interested to see what they do with the boff and console layout. I'm really only interested if they are already fleet level since I've already upgraded my double d to t5u. I may actually spend money on this pack, again if they are fleet level. If not I will probably pass.

Yeah I'm kind of upset about this as well. I own all the ships in the pack already. There should be a discount or something if you've already got said ships. I did see this coming though with the pathfinder. Pretty crappy of them to do this...

Yeah. It'd be one thing if it was like the fleet upgrade system...which give you a discount if you already own the T5 version.
Paying $30 (plus whatever it will cost to upgrade to the inevitable fleet version) is disgusting.

I'm thinking it's going to be fleet level when it's released. As many D'D fans including myself already have a FT5U D'D a 10-console T6 version would be a no sale for a lot of us. I certainly wouldn't buy it for that silly trait.
EDIT: Oops, I'm wrong. I just looked up the Pathfinder and it only has 10 consoles. The decision to buy a T6 D'D just became more difficult. I'll guess I'll wait to see the stats and boff layout. Bummer.
Makes me glad I never bought the D'D. Now I can choose to buy the new one, or not, without the "buying twice" angst.
Of course, I'm a cheap-TRIBBLE Scot at heart, so I won't buy it until it eventually goes on sale, and I'd buy it with Zen that's converted from dil and/or bought on sale.
Besides, I love my Aelahl, so buying the new D'D isn't a huge priority for me.

Like the new Romulan ship though I'm bummed alittle that it can't equip dual cannons like the original D'D. Hoping its an over site and they forgot to add it to details. Bridge officers looks great and the bonus Command seating is good. Also couldn't they have just made them fleet variants instead of charging an extra 5 bucks to get fleet level ships like they did with the command cruisers.

It'll come with a battlecloak and be able to mount duals. Every other version of the D'D has those features, there's absolutely no reason why the T6 version wouldn't. Those omissions were oversights in the blog I'm sure.
I think the D'D variant got the long end of the stick. With the Lt. Comm Tac and Lt. Universal you could run a fairly standard Tac layout. The Tac being Command means you won't be straddled with too many Ens Tac powers even with three total Ens.Tac BOff spots. Though it kinda sucks if you wanted to slot a Lt. Comm Command ability and have decent firepower, though.
Still on the fence about this, particularly buying a C-Store ship and Fleet Token to get the full package out the door, on top of already having a Fleet T5-U D'D. I'm either going all three new ships or none, and the worse Tac layout possibility (Lt. Comm + Ens. Uni)on the Negh'Var and Galaxy makes them kind of meh. If these had Pilot Hybrid (though that'd mean releasing Pilot Primary early, but they did R&D early, so why not?) or Intel instead the only reason I wouldn't be buying Zen now is the probability of a Zen sale when these go live. Now I think it might just come down to the console, not so much for it's active power, but it's passive boost to max subsystem levels, which could be OP if it gives the ability to go over 125 weapon subsystem power all the time.
Baratan is part of a same-faction three-set and is basically fleet grade already, this one you have to pony up for a Fleet Module to get extra 10% more hull and shields and an extra Eng console. Slightly better BOff layout if you want both Tac and Science Lt. Comm abilities, but otherwise, this is more for the iconic design it can be skinned to.
I would have preferred if the LtCdr SCI station was the Hybrid one. But whatever. I made the D'D work before well enough and I sure as hell can do the same again at T6.
Ship store shows 5 deg/sec for all D'D and the new one.
Edit: I just grabbed it in game since I have the three-pack and it is slower than the Fleet D'D... odd. STO Wiki lists the C-Store T5 as 5 deg/sec but the T5 Fleet D'D as 5.5, maybe that same difference exists between the C-Store of the T6 and the Fleet T6? I don't actually have the T-5 C-Store one. Over 17 with the same gear on the T5-U Fleet D'D, a hair over 16 for the T6 with the stack of RCS consoles and Undine engines on both.
Edit 2: I'm getting different numbers each time I swap ships or zone into DS9 space. Not being affected by Cruiser Commands as far as I can tell, but after re-skinning the T6 to look like a proper D'D and going back to DS9 space my FT5-U is showing around 16...

Really wishing the'yd just gave us an upgrade option to go from T5u/T5u Fleet to their T6 equivalents...

1 less console, stats (turn, shield mod, hull)
