In today's world, I'd take... probably a Scimitar. I can just leave it in earth orbit, beam up and down from it if need be, fly around cloaked, explore other worlds, have scientists look at a harnessed black hole...

Bit more of an obscure one this, but ever since I started reading Heinlein I have always wanted Lazarus Longs yacht "Dora".
A truly intelligent and adaptive ship with personality.
"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. I would want a Voth fortress ship, because why not have a massive ship with more ships inside it? The only problem I can forsee is where I would park it.
New home of the Romulan Republic.
I have an idea for what Season 11 should be; Season 11: The Big Bug Fix.
I have not been able to read my bug tickets in over a year, not even the tickets about not being able to see my tickets.
I find the drama of your signature proof of your immaturity, this means you, DR whiners.
Hmm this is an interesting question, sometimes I like small compact and bijou so would go for a Defiant or a YT1300 (suitably 'modified' of course!) but if I was to 'go large' it would have to be a Super Star Destroyer.

And post "The Number of the Beast-", she's able to go literally anywhere. Time, space, alternate universes (the addition of a Burroughs-Carter Continua Device to her Libby Paradrive) - and if you want to keep Dora safe, there's always TRIBBLE Deceiver, the first craft to mount a BCCD along with her axial-mount laser cannon, ability to function as a ground or flying vehicle, and in extremis the bathrooms in Oz which can function as emergency shelters.
And TRIBBLE's sapient too, ever since meeting the Ticktockman in Oz, and then her abilities were expanded further by Dora's technology...
It comes with tons of room, and even has it's own indoor pool.

Okay. Okay. Ent-D but with a TARDIS tucked in the back corner of the Bridge Observation Lounge next to the LCARS disguised as an antique wardrobe. Oh, and the TARDIS interior has to have the white roundels from the Baker/Davidson era. I've had enough of these dark and gloomy looking Console Rooms. That said, I do like the newest one with it blue panels and something sort of like roundels on the walls.

JJ-Verse will never be Canon or considered Lore...It will always be JJ-Verse
You don't need a death star when you have this much firepower.
Never liked the design of the eclipse, idk why. I'm still angry though that it and the rest of the EU have been erased from existence, all because Abrams can't be bothered to stick to what's already been established. In my Star Wars head canon Episode 7 well never happen, EU all the way. I'll probably still see it, but i already hate it more than any prequel movie.
It's reasonably secure, comfortable, and well-provisioned.
(All right, it is the size of Ceres, made of indestructible material, uses the entire universe as a power supply and is equipped with "sixth-order" telepathic technology that basically reads your thoughts and makes your wishes come true. Apart from that, it's not really OP.)
Stargate: Atlantis, with the ATA gene in me... with absolute control over the chair. Fully stocked and three fully charged ZPMs. With control over the chair, I'll have access to the Library and be able to program the city-ship to give me all its knowledge at my whim. Of which I'd use to slowly build Earth up to a point where we can explore other worlds while establishing a defence field capable of ensuring idiots on Earth can't nuke ourselves.
Star Trek? Enterprise D. It can refuel itself. It got reactors capable of refining dilithium and creating antimatter. Plus it's large and capable of travel to nearby star systems.
BSG: Of course, I'd take a Basestar with its AIs at my command. I'd use this to establish colonies in the Sol System. I'd probably ensure nations get along and stop using nuclear threats as I'd quickly suppress it.
Star wars: Super Star Destroyer. Fully stocked. Can use this as a colony ship to bring settlers around the system.
Dr. Who. Well, the TARDIS would be nice, but would it cooperate with me? At the least if I'm stuck in this time and can't move around outside of sublight... It'll still be a nice home.
Farscape: Command Carrier. Good colony ship, huge... can go to nearby star systems.
Destiny from SGU in it's prime, it's got a stargate on board so resupply runs are not a problem and it can recharge it's power from the stars
"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

Look, champ, I know it's popular around these parts to bash Abrams as though he were singlehandedly responsible for everything from the third remake of The Evil Dead on down to that live-action Smurfs movie, but the plain fact here is that George Lucas made the executive decision to jettison the EU when he started planning for a seventh SW film, even before selling his film company to Disney, and realized what a terrible straitjacket had been placed upon him - every detail of what happened to the major characters from 4000 years in the past on up to however long in the future the Legacy comics (the ones with Luke's grandson) were supposed to take place. Every aspect of galactic politics was nailed down, leaving nowhere but nowhere for a story to happen that hadn't already been written.
If you want to bash Abrams, do it for something that's his fault, like creating interesting TV shows with slowly-unfolding plots (Alias, Lost) and then leaving them to twist in the hands of others who don't know what he was up to, while he flies on to the next shiny like a jackdaw with ADD. No need to pin "crimes" on him that aren't even his, though.

Part of the problem with Lost was that it seemed to have no planned ending. It just meandered at random and eventually got written into a corner.
Anyways... I'm going to go with Rama Just to be different. :P

Agreed. Even if Abrams had made that choice, it doesn't change that it was a good one. Hell, I even agree with them choosing to basically 'start over' with the new Star Trek films. There is a TON of backlog from the decades of building up the universe over the years. If anything Star Wars had it WAY worse than Star Trek ever did in that regard.
Let's be honest, there have been way, WAY more Star Wars games, shows, books, etc (and most of them actually be decent at minimum for the most part) than Star Trek has had. So there's a lot to try and sift through otherwise.
Dumping all of that extra EU stuff really lightens the load as it were. It does mean losing some really good stuff being considered 'canon', like the Thrawn** trilogy for example. But I'd rather have a Star Wars movie NOT having to juggle a thousand different things.
BESIDES...there's no way Abrams can make a movie worse than *insert your most hated of the Star Wars movies here*.
**Side note: Jeffrey Combs as Thrawn? Anyone else think they could see that happening?
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.
Atlantis, with enough spare Zero Point Modules if something goes wrong. And, of course, one injection of the Ancient Technology Activation gene, because flying the city (or any of the two dozen or so puddle jumpers in its jumper bays) without it would be a bit of a pain in the neck. :P
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.

TARDIS. Because TARDIS. Just make sure it has a rolly ball piece and Ten's severed hand. Because TRIBBLE 11.
Death Star, because who doesn't like destroying planets? Only problem is parking.

Personally, I'd either go for what my Main has - a Klingon Negh'Var - or a good ol' Imperator Mark II Star Destroyer.
Not a big/devastating as an SSD or DS but it gets the job done and looks awesome doing it
