Hi,
As some of my videos have been used in the General section post entitled
"Please fix the game" I thought I should place an official post in this area of the forum which follows Cryptic's reporting instructions but also my computer specifications.

Disconnects
Instance game lag/rubber banding.
So far, those who have been mass-disconnecting that I was able to talk to are being routed through:
38.111.40.114 from Boston. Cogent is the ISP, and that IP is identified as being associated with PWE.
For the Instance game lag/rubber banding, it would be interesting to know how the instance servers are configured. I could very well be wrong, but I'm guessing for this event that some threads are being dedicated to a specific bank/server. Combine multiple threads each running some bad code and containing them to their own pool, and you're going to have one messy pool when they all start churning....

I knew using Kinetics would be playing the game on hard mode, but what I didn't realize was how bad the deck is stacked against Kinetics.
Game is unplayable, and problem 100% is here:

I see we have the same problem. Is Cogent run by Pakleds?
http://uorforum.com/threads/verizon-ping-issues-updated-with-solution.8860/
Due to a lack of response I have submitted a ticket to formalize the bug report in their ticketing system.
Aren't they currently porting Neverwinter to Xbox?
Probably has nothing to do with anything (I'm not an IT type). I am sick of the lag and rubber banding though!
I think it all really started here, back in April 2014, but then better then worst and so on. Back then using a proxy seemed to help, but not so much any more.
I reserve the right to have a completely different standpoint depending on my mood.
The other day the same happened in CGA, as well as ISA.
A stunning experience. I'll have to find another activity to do after 9pm.
Win 15,000 GPL in the Hodos Racing Challenge!
With the upcoming mirror invasion event, however, it's a different story because you have to accurately move around the map to close the rifts...something that is absolutely impossible to do with this lag. If this lag issue isn't fixed by that time, then I'll probably delete my account. The only reason I can think of why Cryptic would refuse to help us (or even acknowledge the problem) after all this time is that they see the cost of losing us as customers to be outweighed by the cost of fixing this problem (and yes, it's a Cryptic issue, not an internet provider issue....all this lag started, at least for me, with the release of the 5th anniversary event). In pretty much every company in the world the bottom line and stock price are all that matter, and since the population in STO who are having this problem is relatively small, Cryptic probably sees us more as a liability than an asset.
Back when I used to play Star Wars Galaxies, I had something identical to this sort of 2-minute+ lag/rubberbanding on the planet Mustafar when the Trials of Obi-wan expansion was first released, along with occasional minor rubberband lag everywhere else in the game. I remember I'd group up with my guild in our 8-person vehicle as we drive across the Mustafar landscape to complete exploration missions; the thing is, I didn't see the vehicle begin to move until several minutes after the driver took off. One time the driver messed up and ran into a nest of Tulrus (a carnivorous animal); I saw everyone in GroupChat getting angry at his bad driving and how he got us all killed, but on my screen we were still driving along normally....and then five minutes later I saw the vehicle run into the Tulrus nest as we all got slaughtered. Sony Online Entertainment actually was able to fix the Mustafar lag pretty quickly, but the periodic lag everywhere else (especially in densely populated PVP arenas) never went away entirely. A lot of people call SOE a terrible online gaming company for driving SWG into the ground with the NGE, but at least they listened to their playerbase and tried to fix the technical issues with their game.
