Eh, it just wouldn't make any sense to have John (Q) voicing Keegan's character (Q-junior). It wouldn't make any sense to the game at all. Now, bring back the original Q for something, and yeah, I'm sure folks would be all over it.
As others have said, the Q we have in game is Q-Junior. But if they actually bring back Q (John), then sure. I'm sure it wouldn't cost that much, hell even MLP was able to afford him.

The thing is, Q's dialogue of late - especially in the current event - makes me think that even Cryptic has forgotten that the current Q is supposed to be Junior and not the original we all know and, um, love.
I heard John was asked about it and said He will have nothing else to do with Star Trek.
I've heard he still appears at STLV... but, I've also heard stories from people that he seems irritated or disinterested in being there.
Granted, a job is a job, and you never know if the guy is just having a bad day (after all, he's just a guy, and might have to put up with a lot)... but, one of the stories I've heard was from the podcaster Scott Johnson. He's a Trek fan, and a Breaking Bad fan... he was so excited to compliment de Lancie on his work in BB, and it was met with... well, a "meh" response.
That would actually be a terrific addition to STO. Just imagine hearing his voice when he pulls his jokes. I'd love it.
Oh, quit QQing.
(I am so very sorry.)

In an interview, he said that after reprising his role on DS9 it was clear that the writers didn't understand Q and that's why he didn't do any more episodes. Taking that into account...
In the same interview they asked about whether he would return to Star Trek. To sum up his response, he's moved on.
BUT...if Cryptic put forth the right writer, and De Lancie agreed to it, that would be a cool addition to the game.

And yet... He appeared on Voyager numerous times after that.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...

Well, not that the Q/Vash episode was great (because it wasn't)... but, if anyone "didn't know how to write," it was the Voyager writing staff, LOL. There's a reason why Ron Moore spent three episodes in that writing room, then left the show. :P
Maybe de Lancie enjoyed playing opposite Kate Mulgrew?
But what about Q and Q? Sure they're not the same as Q or Q, but they were also awesome.
I thought Q was great... And Q... Well she was interesting, not to speak of Q and Q... Q was also fairly interesting, but it's really too bad we did not see more of him.

hehe, Suzie Plakston really should have been used more. :P
As of 2010 de lancie and Picard were still doing a trek themed project together. That's 11+ years post ds9. Clearly its not just Kate whose company he enjoyed.

>Implying that My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is NOT a multi million dollar franchise that could afford fracking WEIRD AL YANKOVIC HIMSELF TO PROVIDE A VOICE AND AN ORIGINAL SONG TO SEASON 4.
If they wanted, Hasbro could hired Sir Patrick Stewart to voice Star Swirl the Breaded. And I bet he'd enjoy EVERY. SINGLE. MOMENT OF IT.

Eh... it would be funny if the character John de Lancie voiced in MLP turned out to be Q in disguise on a vacation from tormenting Starfleet. I did a little research, and Discord was inspired by Q, right down to his apparent snapping and things happening. They were going to get someone who sounded like Q, but managed to land Q himself.

Would it matter to a Q?
I'd just like his voice better.
Yea, but it would not be Q then... Just Q...
And if we are going with Q we should stick to Q and not Q...

Yeah, that occurred to me as I was typing that. Maybe he enjoyed doing Voyager enough to overlook it?
Anyway, I gather he's more into the ponies these days...
