first of all did any of you play guitar hero or something similar??? don't answer that we know you didn't because if you did you would know it is UNPLAYABLE WHIT MOUSE omg ppl get a grip. nvm that you making us play guitar hero whit lag and mouse and no music you made it go from left to right ?? you don't realize that it is even more trouble whit mouse? if it only could go from up to down or vice-versa it would be 50% more playable lol
It's like the free very rare duty officer game [ doff weekend, other particle game ]. I did that for a couple of characters then stopped.
Sure, it's as much as a couple of million EC's worth of doff for a half-hour's work, but past a certain point it's not worth my time.
My plan for the omega particles is to do the 15 dailies + 1 per alt, and do a small amount of extra mini-gaming for particles.
I'll probably only end up with enough mats for 1-3 tech upgrades, but I'd rather spend 20 hours flying my ships than playing extra Tapper.
BUT: I'm not complaining about Cryptic offering this. For people with more free time than free cash, being able to craft 2 millionEC worth of tech upgrade for some grinding IS a nice gift. (1 Omega = 2 Experimental = 4 salvaged tech + mats + 2080 dil)
I only do the ones requested for getting the 40 Qmendations on my main characters. So far - and I have been trying since the anniversary is online - I was successful only 2 times.
As I still have lag, rubberbanding, button delays and regular BTDs (back to desktop), I have not even tried to get my Alts into the game. I may do each of them onee time (as necessary) and then I'll quit.
As I'm not crafting, I don't need the stuff. Maybe I'll sell it later. But it might proof to be futile, because the description on the R&D jobs reminds me fatally on the term "temporarily". Well, we will have to wait and see. I'm not bothered by it.

If you stop, the particles will destabilise and Warp travel will be impossible. You MUST destabilise the particles safely. You MUST succeed!
... Mind, I spent a fair few hours playing Tapper back in the day, so I just imagine each particle in the mini-game is a bottle...
