So... about that discount.
It's not working for the raider.
Which I purchased this year.
Having started the project this year.
The carrier worked fine, got the fly out message saying I unlocked the account wide discount on it.
When I claimed my raider, I just got the boxed ship with no discount message and when I take the project on other captains it still wants the 1,000 pictures. Even after exiting the game and logging back in and changing zones on the character that claimed it and with one I am trying to purchase it with.
I'm going to wait on claiming the cruiser.

For me its the "breen chel grett warship" thats not on account discount,
i did buy the cruser and raider on one of my new toon last year so i should have all of them unlocked but i dont.:(
when checking the bugs section last night looking for a work around. I saw a post saying the have a fix and it's do to hit holodeck on the 16th... it makes no sense to me ether.
if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.
Actually issue number one is that a month into the event and they still haven't fixed it. Actually fixing their problems could lead to less threads about their problems. I know it's just #%$&ing crazy isn't it.
Disabling the claim button would make more sense.
Doesn't help that its also around Christmas, which usually means time off with family so they can't get a fix out.
I think the main issue with the Chel Grett is how it was distributed originally. There was no Rep system back then. Just like the old Season 7 Accolade bug. There's no hook saying "Oh this person has this" to tell the rep system to award the discount. How the Plesh Brek is affected I don't know as that one WAS tied to the Rep System. Although the account discount is still pretty new, as it was only released during this last Summer event.
Please remember that no MMO is going to be 100% perfect. Its essentially a living organizm that is always changing. Fix one thing, something else might break. Never ending cycle. Cut the Bug Team some slack, especially since we're between two major holidays.

It's not like they just took the game down for maintenance with the very verbose patch notes of stability fix that would obviously tell you it was still busted and not safe to use.
I did the event on 3 characters all for a different ship this year. The only one that showed a discount was the carrier.
After today's stability update, none of my characters get the discount now.
So the "stability" update made things worse...
So the issue needs to be "KEPT" on the front burner.....

Not really. It never got fixed. While it was mentioned in those patch notes, the account purchase discount is still not working for two of the three ships.
Well next Patch is probably on the 8th ... Winter Event ends 1 week later ... so last chance & fingers crossed it actually works this time, if they manage to include it in the Patch ...
I seriously doubt they're gonna bring in an "Unscheduled Downtime" or something similiar for it ... since it's no "Tau Dewa - Exploit", only a "vocal minority" who wants things to be working
The carrier is pretty much always working.
The other two have a chance of working, it has not been confirmed if sacrificing a goat or a chicken gives better odds.
I can't get the first one for every char, but I'm hopefull.

Not all the players read the forums. Not all of those who even read general get down to the tribble notes (as the Holodeck patch notes just say everything is awesome).
It's not like running 1 ice race a day is really a grind is it?
Without that discount, it's not one race. To get the same ship on two characters, that's another 25 days. And the event only runs for about 42, I believe.
How about for the people who got it for the first time this year?
Have to go to the Test Server and see if it works, but first log in to your character that has unlocked the ship first before logging into your other characters to make sure that the discount is registered properly.

Breen Warship - 1,000 pics
Breen Raider - 40 pics
Breen Carrier - 40 pics
So the Breen Warship is the only one not showing the discount.
I assume you obtained the Breen Warship during the Winter 2012 event. The current tribble patch fixes this so it is just a matter of waiting until it hits the holodeck which is likely January 8.
Yes, got all 3 ship respectively according to their showcase years...
