Odds for Elachi Dreadnoght

I am wondering what are the Odds for the Elachi Dreadnought for this Event is it 1in5 or 1in3 1in10 I would like to know

    It's over 1 in 200, and because its based on a random number generator you could open 10000 and not find a single ship.

    No, I'm pretty sure it's 1.1% (I think it was in the latest podcast). Remember, these are not lockbox chances, but they are normalized for the R&D box prices.

    Based on my own experience 0 in 20, and last I checked the were none on the exchange either.

    I've seen them in sector space but that is about it.

    I didn't hear it in the podcast could have missed it

    but the odds are so poor its not worth my money

    well i grabbed 1000 zen yesty arvo, bought one of the 4 pack of the r&d package and got it on opening the 3rd box, the day before a friend in my fleet did exactly the same.
    i guess the odds were in our favour.... :cool:

    well if your odds are so good why arnt you buying them up and posting them on the exchange for 500 million ec each ?

    Never believe what they tell you in podcasts. They only cross their fingers nobody makes the test like usually when a new lockbox appears and someone opens ten thousand of them on tribble.

    1.1% per box to be even more precise.

    In other words, you could have 100 boxes and get no ship. Alternatively, you could pop a ship on your very first box.

    funny you say that, after transferring a few copys to tribble to try out and to tuck away for friends if they would like to try one, i indeed did put it up on the exchange as there were none available this morning, was limited by the max selling of 500 million, it sold within 30 secs, so with that i purchased a wells class science vessel for 170 mill and an adapted destroyer for 70 mill to complete my other 2 alts sets, leaving me 260 mill in my account bank, as for buying them all up remark thats nuts at this time of year, i took the risk of investing 10 dollars and won, with xmas close at hand and 4 children, my money is not something i generally part with at this time of year for my own personal use within games.. so xmas will be an awesome time for me in sto and in the real world.. :cool:

    Unless ANY of these ships you plan to favour entirely and play nothing else but, I wouldn't bother. I used to go for a lot of them, because I thought "oh cool", but when you get them and they're not all they're cracked up to be, you wish you could go back and tell yourself to put your credit card away.

    I really want one...because it is just a awesome looking ship and all...and I own the Scimitar pack...I'd rather fly a Sheshar because I like the build and everything better.

    Between the Sarr Theln and the Sheshar I think I'd be happy with T6 till perhaps they release some of these other specialties they said they plan to develop one day...

    I bought 3 4 packs the first day and got it on the very last click. a friend got his on the 3rd click later that night. With it's 5 front weps, hanger bay, and abilities this thing oblitertates whats in front of it.

    I bought a 4-pack and didn't get it. The odds probably are 1.1% per R&D pack, so expect to spend $75+ if you want the ship. Maybe you'll get lucky but probably not.

    its 2.5 euro per pack buying 4 packs

    If you open infinite amount of boxes it will be = 227 euro/ship

    If you go by the Fly In Text you have these chances:

    Everybody else chance on getting the Sheshar: 25% to get it

    When you actually try it yourself: Cryptic Profits, you don't get a ship.

    I've heard about 1% which is a complete greedy money grab if it's true. Which I've already been banned and blocked from STO's facebook page for commenting about. I'm a Lifetime member and I was banned for making that comment on their facebook page. Seems a bit silly to me but I guess it's their page perpetuating their greedy practices! Long live Scrooge/Grinch/Cryptic! Merry Christmas players, enjoy all of the bugs and downtime, and the gamble with nearly no chances of winning spaceship promotions! Yay!

    Somehow I doubt that was the reason you were banned... they don't ban people for merely diagreeing or speakng out against current practices. They DO ban people for abusive language, etc. Are you telling the whole truth?

    Of course he was. No one that was ever banned on any forum has ever done anythnig wrong that would justify a ban. You can ask anyone that was banned.

    At 1.1% odds, that a minimum of ~250 euros to get the ship. Provided you don't have to open several hundred more boxes. Either that, or pay 500 mil. :(

    The minimum is still the price of one R&D box, and the maximum is infinity. Somewhere in between your real cost will be.

    Well...If this promo is anything like the Romulan Duty Officer pack/JHAS Bug Ship..

    I opened 85 - 90 Rom Packs for my JHAS

    Yes it "Can" happen on the 1st box you open..but not likely.
    The ones who supposedly scored one on 3-4 boxes have a dilithium horse shoe up their butt.

    That is not how probabilities work.

    After opening one million R&D boxes, the chance for your next box to contain a lockbox ship is the as it was for your first R&D box.


    But now that you opened 180 Boxes, you should start selling those crafting materials. Maybe you'll be able to afford a lockbox or promo ship with EC. :p
