Unable To Launch Game

So on 12/09/14 Microsoft had an update which has now caused my ATI RADEON graphics card to be unusable. Mozilla Firefox put this message on a desktop icon which I did not see until yesterday. The update is firm, so I don't know how to fix this. Any ideas?
Upgrading Windows will affect the following devices and/or programs:
These programs might not work properly after the upgrade. We recommend uninstalling these programs before upgrading. Cancel the upgrade, open Control Panel, and search for "uninstall a program". (Note: Programs marked as * can be safely reinstalled after the upgrade.)
ATI CATALYST Install Manager *
ATI Catalyst Control Center *
When I hit "ENGAGE" to launch game it crashes. I believe it is due to this update. I have tried updating the driver's for ATI, but that has not worked either. I don't know what to do now.

I feel your pain. Same thing happened with me. Tried resetting the system to an earlier date and that worked....once. Seeing all the other threads I'm not so sure that the problem is Windows. But the thing that's really irritating is that no one has heard from the IT staff. If they at least let us know that they're working on it is one thing. But ZIP. Beginning to wonder when that new STAR TREK Timelines game is coming out. Certainly not gettting any love from Cryptic/PWE etc.
