Each day this week, check out a new exclusive interview with the Voyager crew! Our latest series showcases the actors behind the characters! Check them out here!
Nice interview. Some of the questions I think were needless, but that's my personal opinion. Asking questions that have to do with the writers I think is educational, but people should know that kind of thing already. I don't think he needs to point out that as an actor he works mostly within the confines writers set for him.
I think interviewing the actors with questions involving their methods, how it is to work in a sound studio rather than a set and whether or not they visualize the scene in their head (or any other practices they do to pull it off). Who they draw their inspiration from when portraying these characters, and what have you I think makes for a more meaningful interview with an actor.
Although interviews with JHeinig and _Kestrel_ involving the story would be equally beneficial. If people really want to know that kind of information that badly enough, that's who you need to line up next.
How about fix some bug cryptic, instead of wasting time interviewing people.
You realize that the developers - that is, the folks that fix the bugs - aren't the ones that do the marketing - that is, the folks that do interviews and videos and such - right?
Anyhow...great interview. Looking forward to the rest!

Ahem. In all seriousness, very fun and thank you for these! I do agree with iconians that some questions about the voice acting vs screen acting and working with cryptic and their take on the story would be cool. But very cool to get to hear from all of the actors, and I like that enough people are enjoying the missions that the actors are getting feedback at conventions.
Sounds like the interview had been 'in the can' for quite a while too - as I believe it was Brandon (aka Branflakes) asking the questions - and he moved on from Cryptic quite some time ago.
Formerly known as Armsman from June 2008 to June 20, 2012

They probably recorded these at the same time they recorded the mission voice work.

That's Al Rivera asking questions.
These guys are not available at our beck and call, so yes, these interviews are generally done at the same time we have them in the studio already.
So technically they were asked how their fans tell them how they like DR when it was asked before DR came out? rofl...
Was smart asking them that question before it comes out!
Did you listen to the interview? They didn't ask him if he'd had feedback about DR, they asked about feedback from his character in the game. Tuvok was added to the game back near the start of the year. :P
Join date is wrong, I've actually been around since STO Beta.

The character of Tuvok has been with STO quite a while prior to DR.

Thanks. Looks like the original link has also been updated now. Guess I was just too quick haha.

always been a big Ethan fan, his work was the best part of the expansion imo.
His VOICE was excellent. His CHARACTER was terrible, if slightly more bearable than on the show.
Admittedly that's kind of damning with faint praise, but still...
I hate Neelix, but I love Ethan Phillips. In fact, part of the reason I hate Neelix so much is because he's a TITANIC waste of Ethan Phillips.
could u plz tell us if there are transcripsts planned?!...
