SO, ever since DR the queues for advanced STFs are through the roof and I often never get queued up for them besides Bord Disconnected.
The few times I have gotten in, my PUG has been crushed in minutes.
So, I am wondering how I can acquire Borg Neural Processors now? IS there another means because the use of STFs to get them doesn't seem to be capable anymore.
Cryptic has screwed up the Ques so bad that it's absolutely unbelievable. The only players now that can get Neural Processors are max geared players that don't need them.
If I were in your position, I would abandon my hunt for Borg Gear completely. The easiest way now is to grind the Undine Space Battlezone and outfit yourself with the Fluidic Counter Assault set. It's a pretty nice set that you can get without having to hassle with the completely broken and awful ques. You can get Marks, Dilithium and Isomorphic Injections all from the space zone. It will take a while, but it's actually fun and more rewarding then trying to suffer though Advanced Ques.
If/when they apply their moronic 'fixes' to the Undine Zone, that's when it's time to just quit the game.
Sorry I don't have a better suggestion for you, Cryptic's pure neglect has left new players and players that weren't geared yet out in the cold. Honestly, if you weren't geared prior to DR, the game isn't worth playing.
im lone wolf, being limited resources, limited opportunities and having to make do with what you got and being hearty about it. i was lucky enough to get a fleet shield a while back. someone offered the chance at using their fleet provisions for some items, however for the moment its not possible. anyways, i was looking for an answer on another thread about advanced queues and if my build was alright for it. i have not checked it just yet.
edit: just checked, nothing.
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
Yes, STOP PUGGING groups and learn how to play the game, its not hard. Another thing, join a fleet that is actually active.
Most people don't play this way. Most just want to do them whenever they want, which doesn't always line up with when their fleet or friends are doing them. Assuming they even want those things in the first place. Don't believe me? Look at the number of people playing the advanced STFs, not a big number is it, zero?
Items we used to get as solo quest rewards are now behind dead advanced queues. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Wow, really, they have taken to spamming the forums now?
Focus on Kithomer Ground Advanced. There is a still a solid chance that 2 good and properly geared players can carry their pugs on that map. I reduced my Borg STF by 95% since DR launch for various reasons but would be glad to meet you there to help you out.

"learn how to play"
Moron of the week goes to this guy... apparently the all knowing, all seeing most elite player who can see exactly what the OP is doing when he plays and knows what he is doing wrong...
"You know when that shark bites, with its teeth dear... scarlet billows start to spread..."
I'd say you need at least 3...or at least have one of the three players you are carrying not be completely bad and can follow along at the shield generator. Kinda hard to do that part when one person who know what they are doing is in the center room and the other 3 players will not follow along to help destory the gens.
You are correct in most cases I believe. I do almost all my STF with my fleet mates. Of course there I encounter differently skilled players due to experience and gear. We also quiet often have to embark in incomplete teams meaning taking pugs at the risk of only getting minimal support.
The advanced mode has changed quiet a bit. If I run Kithomer ground with only one of our experienced players Id pick an engineering toon with heavy demolitions to bring down the generator myself while coordinating with my fleetmate handling the room and being relatively sure to get a fair chance of extensions on the lowered force fields.
Pls, dont get me wrong here. I do not want to brag. I just want to point out that the mission has a solid chance of conclusion in the pointed out scenario and I would run it in that fashion if Id help another fleetmate with less capabilities to gather his gear. If I had picked the wrong toon for the task I may of course end up in a position where I rely on the rest of the team more.
Im also in fully agreement with the OP that the revamp of the PvE infrastructure has taken a HEAVY turn for the worst for every new, inexperienced and/or improperly geared player. I would even go so far as to point out to cryptic that their game is suffering massively because of it, as I have seen in the participation quantity on those maps in my friendliest as well in the fleet rosters Im in.

@regregweagew, step there, on the "x".
I have this 'experiment' I would like to 'test' on you. You could call it a giant death ray, but I am not going to. What we have here does not use a gem stone lens. What we have here uses an electromagnetic coil. That is because she doesn't use optical ordnance. Her breach is a particle accelerator. This charged particle gun can hurl a wee particle into you like a piece of heavy artillery. But I'm not using just one particle. This gun can load a whole load of particles, and I'm planing on dumping all of them through the coil for my 'experiment'.
Why are you running away?
1) Someone already mentioned that they have a small chance to drop out of the project box.
2) When you get to tier 5 with Omega Rep you get a goodies package consisting of a marks, dilithium, energy credits and 10 BNP. Yah it sucks that you have to get to T5 first but its an option.
3) in my experience Advanced Cure Space seems to be the best one to run for a chance at BNPs. It only needs 1 person to carry the group, though 2-3 people working together will make the run a lot faster. One to three people move together and do exactly this: go to a cube kill 6 nanites, kill cube, kill sphere at that cube. For now you can ignore the two raptors that spawned when you kill the first upper nanite. Move to second cube and kill 6 nanites, kill cube, kill sphere at that cube. Move to last sphere kill 6 nanites, kill cube, kill sphere at that cube. When all 3 cubes and all 3 spheres at each cube are dead you complete the objective "kill hangar bays 0/3" and anybody can talk to Kang and get him to warp out. At this point you cannot fail the instance anymore. Clean up the rest of the ships that were swarming around the Kang area and the pair of raptors at each cube location that spawned when you killed the upper nanites. I will emphasize that for an undergeared group speed is the key. The faster you kill the 3 cubes and the 3 spheres the faster you can talk to Kang to get him to warp out. Those 6 objects are the only things you need to kill to get him to warp out. This is the strat i used on DR release day when everybody was still in XII/XIII and T5 ships or T5U but with no ship traits yet. It might help to have 1 or 2 people at Kang to 'distract' enemy ships swarming him. Casting Tac Team on Kang lets him redistribute his shields. And based on how much hull and shield health he has i think heals that add damage resistance or reduce damage by a percentage might be better.
I heard that Defara gives the BNP. If you don't want to spend the over priced cost for the TR-116B, then a decent m

Two people who know what they're doing can still run that mission, the question you need to ask yourself though is what happens when Elite finally gets here, because most of the good people will go do those.
The only real answer to be honest is to find a fleet of people who really know their stuff, that will do more good than anything else.

I no longer do any Bug Hunting work for Cryptic. I may resume if a serious attempt to fix the game is made.
Cryptic has screwed up the Ques so bad that it's absolutely unbelievable. The only players now that can get Neural Processors are max geared players that don't need them.
Basically.
I'm afraid you'll have to wait like the vast majority of us until they fix this fiasco and start making endgame playable again.
As it stands now your out of luck sorry. I used to pug the old elite a lot to help other players get what they needed but now no way waste of my time. I'm on a fleet and we are staying away from them for the moment until we have the gear for it. Which is kind of stupid seeing the advance was suppose to be like the old elite and now our gear is garbage now. You can do some of the other reps like romulan it has a nice shield. Dyson rep is easy to get also in battlezone ground (good dil too).:)
As already been stated, if the queues aren't working for you, the T5 Omega Rep rewards 10 Neural Processors (though you've likely already gotten those) - and all Rep XP project boxes have a small chance to reward them
The hourly ones can be run infinitely, even after reaching T5 in the rep, so long as you have the necessary materials (Rep marks, Exp, EC). Plus the first 3 every 20 hours reward Dil, which is a bonus

The Borg ground STF's currently do not have Elite versions listed. And yes, I am lvl 60.

Here's something that might make your head hurt: Some people aren't in fleets and don't want to be, others enjoy the occasional randomness of Pugs...
I know, certain limited people can't grasp that, but it's true...
Me personally, I am one of the latter ones, and I miss being able to do them in PUGS.

as long as you re not a high DPSer and carry 4 players throu you actually need:
TEAMWORK for it
so TALKING to each otehr is essential
