Cryptic/PWE has been saying all over social media that DR is the "Best Expansion Ever".


Well it seems game reviewers are starting to see the TRUTH!

And with the release of the Mirror Invasion, the Lifetime sub sale, free lobi, etc. it seems someone at Cryptic/PWE is seeing something in the metrics that suggests the number of players might be decreasing instead of increasing since the launch of "The Best Expansion Ever"!

    LOR was actually quite well done. I'm sorry but LOR is a better expansion than this.

    This reviewer is spot on, I agree with everything he said COMPLETELY...it pains me to do so, but I have pulled out of the game with the exception of doff assignments (which they also nerfed) until cryptic pulls their head out of their petunias.

    This review is 100% BS and clearly written by a disgruntled player/exploiter. The way he describes the Tau Dewa shut down shows exactly how disingenuous this TRIBBLE review really is.

    I wonder how much cryptic paid him for that review because it pretty much sells the expansion for me.

    The review was written poorly with so very little comparison to what was there before.

    If you read a review for a resort, for example and all the reviewer talks about is how he ate cold French fries in his room all day, most people can tell that the reviewer put that review there by the competitors or by extortion, or because his mommy didn't love him enough. So it is therefore a good resort. It is an old trick.

    The guy in the link is terrible at writing reviews. He has an obvious grudge. I wasn't sold on Dr until I read that.
    Should I start posting again after all this time?

    Everything he said in that review is true.Everyone who played this expansion know that,only morons and fanboys claim otherwise.

    Anyway, I doubt PWE/Cryptic cares much. They don't really care about the forum rage, why would the reviews get anything else than being ignored?
    Let us wear Swimsuits on Foundry maps or bridges please! I would pay zen for that.

    If money still coming then of course they dont care.If ppl start leaving and spending less well then thats another story.

    Events like everything the OP listed have to be planned anywhere between 6 months to a year in advance. They're not something that are simply 'turned on' over a few weeks.

    This thread is garbage.

    The Mirror event was not on the calendar for the last two months. It wasn't even on the calendar last week! The code for the event was already in the game since the last time they held it and a simple coding flag change to re-enable it would be all it takes to activate it and the customary push to the Gameclient. And the missing Delta marks Daily Bonus in the rewards kind of shows this was a last minute idea!

    So while you are entitled to your opinion, it is JUST your opinion after all!

    You can agree or not with the review (I do, and it seems that that some others too) but not assuming that this expancion was really bad for some ppl (maybe a lot, maybe a few, we dont know) is really a signal of a fanboy.

    I guess many ppl loved DR and they have the right to make reviews about it, but many ppl hate it and they also have the right.

    No. Giveaways and sales and events are actually planned 6 months ahead of time.

    Example,
    The winter event was worked on in the Summer.
    The summer event is being worked on in a few months.
    It is the way development has to work.
    Should I start posting again after all this time?

    One thing is the summer event or the winter event, in witch they create something new.

    Mirror event or EC event is just copy and paste.. the ME was not even planed on the calender before, same as the loby.

    I highly doubt it ... Summer & Winter Event ... sure for obvious reasons (you know because of Summer & Winter) ... so it's a poor example ...

    ... just check the ingame Calender to know which Event they actually planned long-term, and which one was just "turned on" (cause it's not even in there) ... granted it might not be that simple, they probably "prepared" for the next MU-Event months ago (Shotgun) ... to "turn it on" whenever "necessary" ...

    PS : The biggest issue here might be that even Cryptic acknowledges there is not enough "stuff" to do within DR ... so they need to keep people occupied ... btw there was no Event shortly after LoR ... get the picture ...
    Patch Notes : Resolved an Issue, where people would accidently experience Fun.

    Except nothing but the rewards of the final turn in mission have changed (and only to include the shotgun instead of the doff, and btw they forgot to add delta marks).

    But you're right that might take 6 months to a year.

    LOL wut? All MMOs have repetitive events that they just put in there with out much preparation for X motive.

    Is clear that you dont play many MMOs..

    MU Event is not Summer/Winter Event for obvious reasons ... not sure how any sane person would come up with this comparison ... of course they have to prepare for THESE Events ... cause you know ... Winter Event in April would be kind of ... well ...

    ... and as others have said there is a huge difference ... Content-wise ... with MU they just need to design some new Item/Doff etc (other than that Copy&Paste) ... Winter & Summer Event on the other hand = at least 1 new Ship & probably new Gameplay Mechanics etc ...

    PS : Summer Event is not done in Feb ... he said it's the right time to talk about it => Conclusion : they'll start working on the next Summer Event in Feb = 6 months in advance is BS ...
