As a liver I started to regret the decision that I ever bought that subscription two weeks ago! Yet I do not blame myself because back in 2012 I invested into a well running game with a working end game infrastructure.
I skipped any benefits livers would get in recent patch notes in the hope cryptic would have used the past week to address some serious in game issues at hand.
Thanks for informing me here that now Im able to make a Talaxian toon babbeling to myself while waiting in empty queue lists.

LTS only? A shame since I'd gladly pay 200-400 Zen for it but they stopped selling races years ago.
200-400 Zen times are long gone...
Look an NWN, dragon-race (in STO the Race is for free!) with some unneeded goodies (well, the race respec token would be nice for STO) for a *lot* of money.
They added a smaller pack after a few villagers with pitchforks happened.
BO's are a good indicator too, used to be 500 zen (the old ones), newer ones have their true cost well hidden (Lobi) with more like 2-5k zen for keys per BOFF.
(and no, if someone now says "But you can get Keys from the exchange!!!" that does not count, *someone* has to buy them [or the Zen you got for your Dil])
Heck ... i can even imagine that they start to squeeze things like liberated borg gorn or Bolians or whatever as "second prize" into one of the next boxes.
Beta, LTA, CE, Multiple preorder Versions, all Addon Packs except AoY, nearly all KDF/Rom and ~50% of all Fedships, over 25 LockboxShips, Endurer of Atari's "Year of Hell", but...
Well new additions for Lifetimers are always nice and very much welcome. Though I find it difficult to believe that a Thalaxian - at least in the way they were portrayed in STO - would survive a single day as Captain of a Klingon vessel without being murdered and replaced by his first officer.
Anyway starting up a new character and getting him all the way to lvl 60 incuding reputations, Doffing, R&D is a long term project. Unless Thalaxians get some very nice traits I don't think I will start yet another toon anytime soon.
I wish we could change the species of our characters by paying x amount of zen. Pretty difficult to role out a new character and work on it due to real life commitments.
Grinding for MkIV epic gear?
Ain't Nobody Got Time for That
Since my overall dilithium intake is down and it's clear I'll be needing a lot more contraband, I've been thinking about making a new Marauding alt... and a Talaxian expat pirate ought to be just the thing.
Thanks for the Talaxian but I'd have thought it would have been better as a Vet Reward so Gold folks can get it as well. No reason why Goldies shouldnt also have the option.

Well, if Neelix can hitch up with a Klingon woman, and destroy Tuvok's quarters in the process, I'd say there's hope for them even amongst the KDF...

I must admit, though I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, I do find the notion of a playable Talaxian, as an additional LTS perk, a little under-whelming personally...

I could see Cryptic actually using this as a very effective punishment. "Due to exploiting a particular system that gave you 50 specialization points in 2 days, we have determined the appropriate punishment is to turn your character into a Talaxian. Don't worry, you still get to keep your ill-gotten gains."
Talaxian Cuisine Ground trait: makes enemies fall over sick due to smelling the talaxian cooking. Double effective times for Vulcans/Romulans. Causes Gorn to be aroused, use with care.
New home of the Romulan Republic.
I have an idea for what Season 11 should be; Season 11: The Big Bug Fix.
I have not been able to read my bug tickets in over a year, not even the tickets about not being able to see my tickets.
I find the drama of your signature proof of your immaturity, this means you, DR whiners.
Heck ... i can even imagine that they start to squeeze things like liberated borg gorn or Bolians or whatever as "second prize" into one of the next boxes.

Some of the old Z-store races are now free in STO, but not all of them. Ferasans for example.....
Talaxian Playable Species
Talaxians are now available as a new playable species for Federation and Klingon factions.
Talaxians are available for players with lifetime accounts.
I'd blow my computer up if this was a prize for me.
I'm a lifer, and I appreciate the gesture; Cryptic has done more to show their appreciation for my lifetime pre-order than any other game I've pre-ordered. MWO doesn't care about their founders, SWTOR occasionally gives us completely useless TRIBBLE...Cryptic keeps giving us little tidbits, and some very not-so-little tidbits (respec tokens, ships, shuttles...), and they hand us a new one or two, every so often. I really can't complain, and I appreciate every last bit of it.
I might not be the type to play a Talaxian, but thank you, Cryptic. The gesture is truly appreciated.
I'm happy about this. Adding thing to LTS rewards was unexpected, and even though I don't plan on playing a Talaxian (I have no plans to play a Borg either at the moment), thanks is warranted!:)

I'm in the same camp as you. I have issues with the business policy aspect of the company but I appreciate the effort made nonetheless.

I keep toying with the idea of a Lifetime Sub but I've been waiting for STO to evolve into something more than yet another grind/farm MMO with minimal RP and ever more gratuitous pew pew. I'm even less inclined now after being hit with the spec nerf for doing nothing more than playing the game exactly as presented; I have no confidence that STO is going to remain playable long enough to make a LTS worthwhile.
Wohoo, you just made my day! The game is full of bugs, but this is so unexpected and so hilarious. I'm going to delete my less-played liberated borg engineer and create talaxian right away!

The thought of a Talaxian in Honor Guard armor on the home world briefly amuses me
If they had a superior Talaxian operative trait, I'd probably bite on that too :P
