    Cryptic ask yourself this question

Who needs Dilithium more and who spends more CASH in the game

A level 60 veteran with all the toys

A new player at level 50.......I say the new player

    Who gets the best reward

    The Veteran player............................

Where I come from we call this Bassackward's

In normal mode Scale the reward to give more to the level 50...960 dil max the level 60 ....240 dil
    The same for marks reward

This would also keep Elite players out of the Normal Qs as well and in the elite Q's where they belong

You have a working Scaling device....use it !!!!

We veteran players have become the Ancient's of STO

the new players are considered minion's from the power creep veterans have
    Jellico....Engineer ground.....Da'val Romulan space Sci
Saphire.. Science ground......Ko'el Romulan space Tac
    Leva........Tactical ground.....Koj Romulan space Eng

JJ-Verse will never be Canon or considered Lore...It will always be JJ-Verse

I thought the point of the dilithium thing was so that there would still be rewards for doing missions after you'd reached the level cap and maxed out your specialization trees? (Entirely theoretical on my part, I do assure you.)

So, if the dilithium rewards are going away... is anything planned to replace them?

Wow, what a mixed bag this patch is. I want to say thanks...I think. Can't believe the torpedo input isn't fixed yet for Fleet Projects. There are a lot of small fleets stuck thanks to this including our own. :(

I think it may be a hit or miss thing...

I've been running continually Practice Tactical Exercises III which require mk5 photon torpedoes with no issues, buying the torps from the Earth Space Dock vendor. I think I had a problem one time contributing them, but was solved by moving away from the vendor.

Or is it only crafted ones...

For everyones' sake I hope it gets fixed ASAP or sooner.
    Are we there yet?

As we wait for maintenance to finish, I wrote a song...

    Hello, desktop, my old friend...
Seems I've found you, once again...
I just want to launch the new missions...
    And advance in reputations...
But, this game won't stay open long enough... yeah, it's rough...
Just hear the sound... of silence...

And other players do not know...
    'Cause they use stupid Windows...
    They can be so close-minded...
    Their computer choice is one-sided...
And my tears, like silent raindrops, fell... I don't feel well...
    Because the sound... of silence...

And, now, Mac users bow and pray...
Will our fix PLEASE come today???
So that we can stop our mourning...
    Crash-to-desktop without warning...
And the Quadrant of Delta will come our way... Hail Janeway...
    Instead, the sound... of silence...

    *waits for the fix* :(

Wheather players have gained 60 spec points or not is not even important atm.
Fact is the dil reward for it got removed AND the dil reward for PVEs got practically reduced since the introduction of Delta Rising.

And grinding dil on in ground battlezones hardly can be the idea behind this game.

does this mean it will be easier to solo grind Spec points? Does this mean that Advanced STFs are more reasonable to complete? \

Speaking of STFs , can you please remove the mechanic that makes you fail if you miss an optional? that's no good.

ye iv noticed that the new lobi intel doffs say on them that they have attack patt omega 3 and surgical strike 2 and the rd drops from enemy ships well I got one and it doesn't have surgical strike 2 which I bought it for its got surgical strike 1 which is useless to me and the rd drops trait is unticked and wont work has anyone els noticed thiese errors

Yes. I contacted the GMs about it. This is also a problem when trying to purchase them with Dilithium from ESD or DS9. Each time you open the window and hover over any of the intel officers, they will have different skills...and none of them give you what is advertised. I bought 20 of them before I realized. They refuse to do anything about it. I feel ripped off and cheated...and annoyed. I have never experienced such terrible customer service in my entire life as I have from this game in the past week.

Awww TRIBBLE... I was almost finished with the last part of the ending epic battle... Spent over an hour on it and click... Bet I gotta start it aaaallllll over again... Hey, what's with the Artilllery ships, they are almost impossible to kill?
And has anyone ever considered doing the updates in the very early morning? Like 2 - 3 a.m.? Seems like that would be the way to inconvience the fewest players...

Well that kind of depends what part of the world you live in really doesn't it. Its a 24/7 international game. No matter when maintenance is performed you can guarantee to p*** off someone somewhere :P

If I'm reading this right the XP grinding for things like Tau Dewa are still there just the dil rewards getting nixed. Fine by me since those grinds on elite with five guys is a blast with my engineer. I actually get to heal and reinforce the shields of others because people had to work a little more to kill things. Made it a nice change from beam boat shuffle.
Green people don't have to be.... little.

I wonder how many people realize that they discovered and fixed something THEY saw as a problem concerning dilithium ore (ORE not even refined), within a 24 hour period. Yet here we all sit with bugs everywhere that have been entirely ignored since the beginning of sto time? How can this not flat out PO the entire playerbase. Seriously, put the same effort into bug removal as you do perceived 'exploits'.

Nerf to dill rewards post levelling specializations- check
letting those who already cashed in on reported tribble 'issue' but ignored reports- check
Bribed players to play this weekend and forget recent issues- check
Returned many PvE missions except the ones fleets need the most- check
Many older issues still not addressed- check

Still can't upgrade my preferred weapons- check

Least all my reps cap today, but I won't hold my breath that somehow the patch doesn't 'accidentally' nuke them.

Players are leaving - or at least staying away. Channel traffic is DOWN. Players in these channels are DOWN.

We're supposed to be an MMO.

lol, so I'm not the only one who noticed how deserted channels and even esd zone has been since DR. At first I thought players were leveling till I read this thread and saw this stuff about dilithium. I had no idea that's what they were talking about when I heard tau was closed, but that explains it. One of the only channels in full (and I mean FULL) operation during this time has been our channel XTERN1TY, active all day and through the night at times since DR with active players and teaming. I been watching those big chans since DR and none of them even came close to our level of activity, except RedditAlert (good job guys!).

Seems while we were busy leveling, teaming and helping players, the 'superior' guys and gals were busy exploiting the game... go figure.

I was at SB7 last night to xfer all my small XP boosts to my KDF toons and it was a ghost town. I thought my inet connection had dropped.

I've been hit or miss on the cigar ship appearing in Borg Distress Calls. The last one I did (last night) was a winner. Can't say whether the next one will be or not.

As for bringing back Tau Dewa? Thank you! I like doing (most of) those patrols, along with the radiation scan daily.

As for the Tholian Red Alert? It worked for me the other day when I did it. We even managed to beat the clock.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

Is there a way to stop the starship abilities tray from resetting every time you enter a new space scenario? Is this a recognized bug? Very tedious to manually set it all over again, especially in timed stf's like borg disconnected.

Crypticfrost has a 13 page thread over in bug reports for people to list characters affected by tray bugs. Feel free to contribute.

And hey, the Aegis set can finally be upgraded. Yay. I was afraid that there wouldn't be any R&D fixes this patch.

Had those people found a way around the 8k refine cap I would say they were exploiting. But since I highly doubt that was the case, I'm chalking this one up to overzealous bean counters with blurred vision from drinking too much monster washed down with coffee.

Speaking of r&d fixes, I guess it will still lag after the patch?

Nah, PESTF's been full, and NoP public service has been pretty active--not up to their usual numbers, but I've seen a lot more traffic in DQ and TD zone chat that accounts for it.

This cool guy called Aforgomon (or something like that, can't remember exactly) has been doing UIE runs from PESTF about once an hour. He's fun to play with, and his Gorn is OP, so the runs have been blitzekriegs of awesome. I've run like 3 UIE groups and a BHE with this guy, tons of fun. I've been alternating between those, story missions, and BDN PUGs. Sometimes STF premades, too. Got CGA on my level 54 alt, that was fun as heck. Won ISA, won BDA, got BHA. Generally decent premades going, but there have been some failures as people get used to the new content.

Technically, it's 9k. Lifetimers and members of advanced fleets (each, separately and stackably) can refine an extra 500/day. There's a doff assignment for each; the lifetime one is 1000/48 hrs, fleet is 500/20 hrs.

True, but still. Why blame/label the players when it was cryptic's mistake (?and apparently made note of on tribble yet allowed to go live anyway?)

I completely agree there.. Our channel has been used more often then Zone chat in ESD.. Becoming abit of a joke, as someone else posted this is supposed to be an MMO.

So dil is no longer awarded for gaining levels after spec bar is full so apart from a few powers this is just as useless as it was before I was looking forward for that little dil

    Exactly how I feel.
Those Specializations did not really help me at all on my other account.
The possibility of getting ANY extra Dilithium after purchasing all of the Specs was the only reason I was buying them all...even the ones I saw no need in myself purchasing.
Maybe if they gave us a final Specialization ability of rolling the difficulty back to Pre-Delta Rising, I'd care about the the Specialization system; Otherwise, it's just fluff to keep me busy on a stale toon with no interesting reward for doing so.

When the toons on THIS account reach Fleet Admiral, I may as well delete them, and start over, but why? I will have already played the entire game, and thus have no reason to start over.
Well, there's the mindset of the many players with a short attention span, which is becoming more widespread than ever, especially with crazy decisions like REMOVING ANY Dilithium reward for reaching level 110 when there are much better alternatives that have even been suggested BY those same players.

I just don't understand this game's marketing anymore.
WHO is it supposed to be marketed to anymore; New players that MIGHT pay for stuff before they leave from the boredom of an MMO that actually ENDS?
You'll run out of customers even quicker with THAT kind of marketing.
This may as well be a one-player console game with no teaming or Dilithium system at all, at this point.

However, that's just my OPINION; right?
I hope it's just my opinion, because I would miss teaming with the few players that I can tolerate speaking to, and whom actually know what they're doing.
