My "Sell Items" don't show in the exchange?

Recently I've been trying to sell lockbox items on the exchange (My Fed Tac at the Jenolan Exchange) and after I post the items for sale and replot the BUY list my items don't seem to show...

I log out and log in and it still happens.

Is there a long delay or is there a bug?

Does it even show your own offerings - Since we now have account banks and Mail, there isn't really a reason to sell stuff to yourself, is there?

Several Items, several different prices.

An example:

Console Pack - Aceton Assimilator / Sabotage Probe Locator (Federation)

I put this up for sale a couple of hours ago for 3,100,100 - logged out and came back in just now, searched for those, and saw the cheapest one at 3,199,999.

the exchange is hurting right now, partly because of the traffic on it and I suspect partly because of the transactional traffic going on in the background because of the conversions people are doing with Delta Rising. I would expect it to even out and become tolerable, but I dont quite know when that would be, since its entirely on the hands of the processing power they throw at the problem

To answer your question: Yes, there is a long delay. Unsure if this is a bug; this could be a database data parity/reconciliation delay, resulting in items not showing up in the Exchange window.

With the revamped DOff and Crafting UIs, there have been delays in rendering buttons on completed tasks. This might be related; wish I knew.

It's too bad Cryptic/PWE won't address this with the community. Maybe one of the STO podcasts would be willing to get an official comment, or a Dev could comment in an unofficial channel, like reddit.com/r/sto

It's a pain in the TRIBBLE.

same problem here; i have even tried with craylon gas mat at a very low price, and it was never sold :P

For a lot of items, if you search under the ALL filter it will bug out and not show the correct ones.

For example, R&D materials dont work under the ALL tab, use the R&D filter tab.

There's some kinda delay going on.

I have had this issue happen to me for many months. Eventually your items will appear on the Exchange. For example, one time I listed "generic beam array whatever" on the Exchange and it did not show up on any filtered / unfiltered search. I gave up and just left it on the Exchange in limbo. It was sold in a few days. This has happened to me multiple times so the best advice I can give is to be patient. Reporting the problem many times does not seems to have done anything.

your searching under all...

try searching under reward packs.

it should show up then.

"all" is bugged. but i seldom if ever change it away from all cause I am too lazy to keep switching for every item I want to search for.

So if I understand what you are saying, if I put an item for sale on the exchange, it should show up for anyone who looks for it in its category, but if they search for it in "all" they will see a random sampling of items of that kind but not all of them, making them THINK they are seeing all of them?

So what category would one look for Catalysts, Reputation Mark Bonus Pools, Fleet Credit Bonus Pools, CXP Bonus Pools, etc...?

These are the items that will list for sale for me in my Sell Tab but they never show up in the Buy Tab.

Everything else I list, lists without issue.

Everyone is experiencing these delays. I will post an item, for example, a winter jacket, and it may or may not show up under reward packs correctly for several hours, even a day. Some have told me to log out and log back in because that will fix the problem but it doesn't. The best advice I can offer is to try to confirm the current lowest prices for an item you're trying to sell with fleet mates or the zone chat people. At least that way you'll have some certainty that what prices you see are probably the ones others can see and others may even be able too see your item even before you're able to. The exchange is severely broken in this respect and until Cryptic fixes it, tread carefully when posting expensive stuff for sale.

Are you experiencing delays with all items or just some?

Cause aside from the items that I mentioned above (which have not shown after days), everything shows instantly for me...

I've had it happen with an upgrade token. I had 1 extra from a pack and i put it up for a few million below the lowest just to move it quick, but 12 hours later it hadn't sold, and wasn't showing up in search. I took it down and relisted but the same thing happened. I was baffled, but if there's a delay happening, that would explain it.

I have been wondering like someone else stated, is it a database issue or what is going on? Also, when i am looking for something it and it doesn't show up, i am not sure if it is an error in the system or what. Another thing, i think the exchange needs to be revamped, to many items that are lumped together into the same categories.

I had the same problem myself when trying to sell an upgrade token. It wouldn't see my token no matter what I did. So the next day I took it down and re listed it. It sold the next day, even though I never saw it listed myself.

Hrmmm, some of the posts are kind of leaving it a bit fuzzy whether folks are having an issue in general or just with specific items. If it is a case of specific items and we could get it narrowed down, get a list going for Cryptic, maybe they could take a look at those items...eh?

I know they don't like us "spamming" things, but it can be tough to know they're aware of something when they haven't let us know that they're aware of something.

I listed a bunch of stuff - a mix of what can be seen and what can't be seen (as mentioned previously), with the "seen" stuff at somewhat high prices and the "not seen" at ridiculously low prices...and the high sold and the low is still sitting there...cause folks just aren't seeing those listings from me for the items I mentioned previously. It's annoying...I've got hundreds of +50/+25 Catalysts, all those Rep/Fleet Mark-Credit/CXP, etc stuff that I just can't sell via the Exchange, while everything else I can...meh.

Delay? I have had items sent to bidding that never show up. So, is that the delay you are referring to....

Yeah, i know what you mean. I have and do send in reports through in game system, but not knowing if they get them is another story. Sometimes it seems pointless really, i still see small bugs that might not be noticeable by others but that have been around since launch. Example, AI getting stuck on a an asteroid during combat.

I'm trying to sell 20 Starship Upgrade Requistions, not easy when nobody can see them. And the prices change often enough that I may never be able to sell them on the exchange.

i had a couple tokens sitting on the exchange for 2 days at 10m, while the going rate has been 12-13. they obviously weren't visible.

people in the trading channel were saying you need to setup some filtering to see them, but i can see them without filters, just not mine.

i ended up moving them in esd zone chat in under 5 minutes. i suggest anyone with tokens should move them quick if you're hoping to bank on them because they'll likely drop to 5-6m on the exchange before to long. this exchange issue is hurting peoples profits as the prices drop, and items that would have sold, go unsold.

That's the problem. I've been listing, checking for several days. It has been completely random. At least in my case.

Hrmmm, I actually had some of them appear after 2 days while others didn't...meh, it's definitely annoying. But it's still just the items that do not have a category of their own that are problematic. It's like they get lost because the database doesn't know where to put them...eh?
