So about that Aquarius is the future of sto joke....

From todays tribble notes....

Renamed Aquarius Destroyer to Aquarius Light Escort.
Improved its base hull value from 24,000 to 25,500.
Improved its shield modifier from 0.85 to 0.9.
Improved its turn rate from 17 to 20.
Improved its impulse speed from 0.15 to 0.22.
Added Raider Flanking, allowing it to gain a damage bonus when attacking a targets' rear arc.
+25% Damage vs. NPCs, +8.33% Damage vs. Players.
Can now equip Console - Universal - Cloaking Device.
All seats, except Commander Tactical, have been upgraded to be Universal.

Renamed Fleet Aquarius Destroyer to Fleet Aquarius Light Escort.
Improved its base hull value from 26,400 to 28,050.
Improved its shield modifier from 0.935 to 0.99.
Improved its turn rate from 17 to 20.
Improved its impulse speed from 0.15 to 0.22.
Added Raider Flanking, allowing it to gain a damage bonus when attacking a targets' rear arc.
+25% Damage vs. NPCs, +8.33% Damage vs. Players.
Can now equip Starfleet Cloaking Device.
All seats, except Commander Tactical, have been upgraded to be Universal.

T5-U versions of this starship will benefit from the improvements above.
Fleet Aquarius Light Escort [T5-U].
This starship now has the Raider Starship Mastery package:
Level 1: Precise Weapon Systems (+Accuracy)
Level 2: Tactical Maneuver (+Defense)
Level 3: Enhanced Weapon Systems (+Damage)
Level 4: Enhanced Weapon Banks (+Crit Severity)

    since last winter event, and the introduction of flanking, i've been asking for this exact set of changes on that ship. they kept saying over and over that its not a raider, glad they finally saw sense. but its buffed better then i thought it ever would be

    dat .22 impulse mod
    dat .99 shield mod
    dat 20 turn rate
    dat not toooo low ~28000 hull
    dat uni LTC, 2LT, and ENS

    pretty much a bug, if the tier 5U gets a 5th tac console, that trades 6k hull for all universal but the COM station, and flanking


    now all they need to do is lower the fleet mod cost to 1, for anyone who has bought any c store odysseys

    I was wondering when that wee stapler would get a boost. And hey, we got it for free, which means the fleet version should be dirty-dirt cheap.

    Would you expect Cryptic to give them anything less?

    At least it still only can equip just the cloak console and doesn't have a full uni set-up.

    raiders are still better because of battle cloak and all universals but really the Aquarius just got amazing lol

    Why would anyone want to fly a defiant now?

    Holy TRIBBLE.

    Me Wants.

    My new ship for proton barrage. 5 dyson consoles, flanking, cloaking device, battery doffs, protonic set, Constellation jump console for another 15% damage stacking with ambush.

    In no way you'll ever compare to this ship level of damage, my dear bops. :P

    Feds will only use it but they are not who introduced this ship in game so there are too harsh words against feds.....

    Technically, Leeches are Nausicaan, Acetons are Gorn, and cloaks are Romulan.

    Definetely a funny and decent change for the cute aquarius, lets hope they update mvam and defiant too, ideally with an equal proportion to the " fleet light escort" lol
