I upgraded the weapon that was part of Dyson Joint Command Ground set:
Dyson experimental proton rifle mk XIII.
When I look at set bonus info for the items, tooltip/info for the above weapon shows it listed without level modifier (i.e. no XIII) but it incorrectly shows that I do not have Dyson armor (also listing it without level descriptor...I currently have the mk xii armor). So it lists set as only 2/3 complete.
When I look at tooltip info for the armor, it also shows 2/3, and in this case shows the weapon as missing, and it seems to be looking specifically for the mk xii weapon.

This set appears to be unique. The set bonus is working for most sets. It may be that Dyson ground was neglected.
I second calls for other items to be fixed but I will note that we have had two devs comment that they are working up a fix. The prefered route is to update existing items but if that is not possible, they have said they will try to work up a trade in for corrected items.
What will help them most now is a list of what items are affected.
That's the reason why i have decided i will not bother with this half finished upgrade system. i don't need this drama. maybe in a few months and if they lower the required dil prices for the upgrades, i will try a few upgrades for fun.
Don't even need to upgrade, just placing the KCB in the upgrade tray strips all the dmg mods.
And this is the reason, why i have never put any item in the upgrade tray and i have also deleted the free upgrade giveaways immediately. i know everything they release is bugged and it will take months for proper fixes and even then it's never a 100% fix. lol

Would like to confirm this, the KCB actually has a really horrible bug, you don't even HAVE to upgrade it, just opening it in the upgrade window to look will strip the [Dmg]x3 off of it making you lose ~30 dps, I really hope they're going to be able to fix this players should not have to replace items broken by the system
Are there any other items that players have discovered that are bugged for upgrades?
It'd be very reassuring if a dev could confirm that this will be fixed for future upgrades as well as all items that got nerfed just by looking at their ability for an upgrade.

It's another bug, all Prefire Chamber consoles bug out as soon as you put them in the upgrade window, like many other things, only rather than losing mods or set bonuses they straight up become un-equipable.
TBH, it bugs me that they're response is 'Eh we have a couple people looking into it' like the massive number of bugs isn't a big issue or something. Their response ought to be 'we've got our whole team on it and other updates are on hold until we patch the system.' I would honestly take a delay to the DR release date at this point if it helped them patch this faster.

Has anybody reported any issues with the Lobi Store JH Pistol MkXII and the current buggy upgrade system? I don't even want to slot it into the system to preview what it might become, as I won't be paying anymore Lobi to replace it if it's FUBARed.

I think this is normal behavior for the highest(actually MK XIII) Mark. You might upgrade rarity. You can put it again in the Upgrade slot and should notice, that it's still kept it's chance(maybe 30% or sth for upgrading rarity)

You don't even need to add any Tech Upgrades. Instant nerf!
And guess what happens when you're done upgrading them to Mk XIII? Nothing! They are still worse then original items you get from rep.
If this will not be retroactively fixed, I will not touch upgrade system ever again.

I now have a purple V.Rare disruptor pulsewave with only 2 mods.
Some more reports on fleet stuff:
- All fleet guns get 0 improvement in stats. I personally tested it on DHC and Turrets, but I heard people complain about beams too.
- Fleet Warp Core only got a minor increase in [SEP] modifier for me. All other stats remained unchanged upon upgrade. Highly doubt that's normal.
+ Fleet Mine Engineering console updated properly for me. All 3 stats got an increase. Seems to be fine.
My mk 13 elite phaser pulsewave [dmg]x2 does only 149.5 dps.
A normal mk 12 pulsewave 148.6 dps.
Did someone say bug?
Upgrading warp cores is almost completely useless. All you get is 1 skill to be bumped up a little bit. I'd save dil and ignore upgrading these.
