Today was the last broadcast of the traditional Saturday Morning Cartoon format. This morning, the CW network ran their final "Vortexx" Saturday-morning block. Next week, they'll follow the lead of ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox and switch over to live-action kidcoms and educational programming. If you were a kid in the 70s or 80s, before kid-oriented networks or streaming video or video games, you probably remember Saturdays as the day when you got up early, ate too much junk cereal, and watched glorified toy commercials for hours on end. And now that experience is truly no more.
What from that format do you remember most fondly? Any particular show you'll raise a glass to today?
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

One word . Netflix.
If using Google Chrome, download the free app Hola. It allows you to watch Netflix from most countries around the world. Doing so allows you to stream television shows from the 70's and 80's including but not limited to Voltron, the original Transformers, TMNT, etc We gave up cable a year ago and haven't looked back. My kids are hooked on TV shows that I grew up on including Differen't Strokes, The A-Team etc Networks can keep their Jersey Shore and insane amount of television commercials.
I do agree with the original poster though. I miss regular television including Sunday nights at 6pm for Walt Disney hours (or two if they showed a feature length film!)
"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward." - Rocky Balboa (2006)
That's the one I still miss to this day. Only comic book anything I ever liked, too.

Yeah but it isn't about the cartoons per se. Between streaming and a number of dedicated networks, its all available, plus if you see any of them these days as an adult you realize how awful most of them were. But that particular ritual, that tradition shared by an entire generation of kids, was on its last legs anyways, but now truly gone.

I grew up in the 90s, so I had things like Darkwing Duck and Rescue Rangers. But its kinda the opposite for me. I look at some of the cartoons they are putting out today and wonder WTF happened? Cartoons used to be fun back in the 90s. Now... we got noodle arms everywhere.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

Cartoon quality really started going down the toilet with stuff like Ren and Stimpy and other badly-animated things like Power Puff Girls. Additionally, anime has ruined Western cartoons to where they no longer have any technique of their own. Add to that, cartoons for adults, like Family Guy, that are nothing but garbage...yeah...there's pretty much nothing decent left as far as cartoons these days.

Eh... Pokemon's still somewhat decent. I did miss the whole Unova and Sinnoh arcs though. Got back into it on the Kalos arc.

Transformers
Robotech
G.I. Joe
Smurfs
Snorks(underwater rip off smurfs)
Spiderfriends(Spiderman, Iceman, and Firestar)
Masters of the Universe
Pac Man
Zelda
Kid Video
Hulk
Mr.T adventures
Thundercats
Voltron
Flash Gordon animated series
I think Gary Coleman, and Punky Brewster had animated shows as well.
Old Looney Tunes cartoons, on The Bugs Bunny Show. At least, until the late '70s when someone decided they were too violent and edited them (eviscerating, for instance, the old Coyote/Roadrunner cartoons).
The delightfully subversive Rocky & Bullwinkle. (Other Jay Ward cartoons could be seen on a local daily children's show, P.J. Patches - Superchicken, George of the Jungle, Tom Slick...)
There are some anime that are far better than any cartoon like Log Horizon, Sword Arts Online, Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei, and Sekai Seifuku: Bouryaku no Zvezda to name a few that were released in the past year.
The original X-Men cartoon, the early 90s Spiderman and Batman the animated series for me
grew up watching those mainly
"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

Well, I always used to watch re-runs of Thunderbirds on BBC Two, followed by Top Cat, Danger Mouse and the Flintstones.
Oh, and then I started watching Toonattik and Ministry of Mayhem on ITV. The two favourite shows I remember are New Captain Scarlet and Transformers: Cybertron. Cybertron is what got me into the Transformers franchise.
The 70's were practically ruled by 4 production studios: Hanna-Barbera, Filmation, DePatie-Freleng Enterprises (with WB connections), and Sid & Marty Krofft, the last making live-action that felt cartoonish.
I've known most every Saturday morning show named so far (you've named most every H-B cartoon) as well as:

Nostalgia of youth and what was once a weekly ritual for millions of kids.
Glorified toy commercials, bah! I had Underdog and Scooby Doo and Johnny Quest!
TAS on Saturday Mornings
Any show you like is basically available at your fingertips now. So no complaints.
~Times they are a changing~
I got that part... but what? They're getting rid of Saturday morning cartoons?

Trials of Blood and Fire
Moving On Parts 1-3 - Part 4

I've known most every Saturday morning show named so far (you've named most every H-B cartoon) as well as:
Sid & Marty Krofft:
H.R. Pufnstuf
The Bugaloos
Lidsville
Lost Saucer
Far Out Space Nuts
Land of the Lost
Sigmund & The Seamonsters
The Krofft Supershow (containing several Krofft shows)
Hanna-Barbera with a bit of the Kroffts:
The Banana Splits Tra-La-La...ahem, sorry, couldn't resist.
Filmation:
The New Adventures of Batman
Fat Albert & The Cosby Kids
Archie's Funhouse, which was one of many retoolings of a show that started in the 1960s.
My Favorite Martian (animated version)
The New Adventures of Gilligan
The Ghost Busters (a show pre-dating and not related to the movie Ghostbusters)
The Tarzan/Lone Ranger/Zorro Adventure Hour (technically 1980-81, but I include it in the 70's list because its origins with Tarzan were in the late 70s)
Space Academy
Jason of Star Command
Ark II
DePatie-Freleng Enterprises:
The Ant and The Aardvark
The Inspector (the episodes were made in the late 1960s but were shown with The New Pink Panther Show in the 70s
Tiajuana Toads
Misterjaw
Other:
Big John, Little John
That's a lot! And its just the 70s, not counting the previously named H-B cartoons. Hope I didn't duplicate much.
