What is the Arc Client?
Install Arc

STO causing the wireless on my router to fail.

Ok so here it goes. This does not happen all the time but when it does it's only when I'm playing STO.

While playing my computers wireless will suddenly lose it;s connection to the router. When I go to check on the router the wireless light is turned off and will not come back on until I reboot the router. This ONLY happens when I'm playing STO. I have checked everything else out including my router and there is nothing wrong with any of it. I'm baffled as to what is happening.

It seems impossible that STO by itself can cause router to fail and turn off wireless.
It could be amount of data per second that can do that, so try simple download of one large file.
Best option now is to reset your router to factory defaults and reconfigure it.

This is incorrect... STO has been shown to cause issues with low-end (e.g. CHEAP!!!) routers, not because of data bandwidth, but because of the large number of simultaneous open network connections that the STO Client makes with its Server... (more then the router is capable of supporting...)

Upgrading to a more capable router is the ultimate solution to this problem, but other things you can try is to disable the built in STO Voice Chat function, close unnecessary networked applications, shutdown other systems using the wireless router, etc...

Well first the router I'm using is not a cheap one. And second this has only started happening since the release of LoR. I will try what has been suggested here but most of it I have already done.

So wasn't it LoR that they introduced the built in Voice Chat ???
