Problems logging in

is anyone having problems logging into Startrek online tonight. it says "Login has timed out. please check your network connection and try again. " my network connection is excellent.

    Yep having the same problem since then. Tried everything that's on the forums. :mad:

    Indeed, never had this kind of lag or logging problems before. Been playing for like 2nd month the gma ecame out... what a heck is going on? Crashed 4 times on New romulus in 10 minutes or so!

    Yeah im on the same boat, launcher fails to auth or something, cant connect.

    Hi, the Accountserver is not working correctly, maybe the Cache or something.
    I get the idea by trying the neverwinter launcher, and there is no Problem Login working correctly, without timeouts etc.
    So please delete the STO Accountserver Cache, tata :D

    A few hours ago the game barely worked. Now the launcher won't start properly most of the time. Gets stuck randomly.

    And even after I've managed to launch the game I wasn't able to do anything, due to extreme lag.

    Friend reports the same thing. My Internet connection is fine.

    I'm having problems too. Logging in did work but took like 5 mins. The game is way to laggy to play though.

    Same here. The problem is huge packet loss - up to 75% and even more. The game is unplayable - constant lags, and server disconnections.

    I'm having lots of server issues today too. About five hours ago the game disconnected once and was quite slow in loading instances. Now I tried to login but the first login (character load) failed. I managed to log in but the game is unplayable because of the lag spikes.

    My connection is the Finnish company DNA's 100/10 Mbit connection that works absolutely fine otherwise.

    Have you switched to the EU proxy?

    Using EU proxy does help a little, but its still terrible. And using proxy adds some ~1s - 1,5s response time.

    No I haven't, since I haven't had any problems before. Ping's been fine without the proxy. Besides it doesn't seem to help and those 1 sec lags sound awful:

    Current situation is that I can't play the game. I get occasional "Server not responding"-messages with the time counting upwards from 90 seconds and then a massive rubberband.

    Changing proxies doesn't help one bit. The game is unplayable and the launcher takes forever to even start. Indeed there seem to be an issue with atlas.cogentco.

    I've barely managed to complete CC on one character, but after that everything just froze. I can't even log off.

    having same issues like other people here: having difficulty logging in and when i do mange to do it having "server not responding" repeating message
    game is totally non-playable for me (cannot even send doff mission or start reputation projects)
    contacted my isp - everything fine on their end we did find problem at end of tracert:

    i can't coonect also.. it kept saying cyptic launcher autoupdate.. trying to update launcher be patient.. :mad:

    Still cant connected to STO while tried to autoupdate launcher failed 300 times after downloaded latest patch yesterday 3 September, STO was worked fine before the patch.

    Uninstalled STO then reinstalled it from Arc but still cant connected right now, checked STO server status:

    We will be performing shard maintenance on September 4 from 7-10 AM Pacific (1500-1800 UTC). Please check the forums.

    Didn't know server is down for shard maintenance now, hopefully it will fix issue we all had after 6pm.

    I was playing the game, suddenly i got DC, and when i want to log on to the game the launcher get stuck on a black screen.........

    i can do anything else on the net though

    Got the same issue...blank screen on launcher

    Just prior to this was in game when suddenly got heavy lag, SNR and dc'd.

    Others in game have been complaining of severe lag. I'm in the UK but the others are US and Germany so it doesn't appear to be a local issue.
