As I just said in another thread... I think it's pretty safe to say that the Bulwark will be the same, since it's just like the Bug (in its rarity and method of acquisition).
Other Lobi and Lock Box ships... I think yes, as well, but basing this more on what was said at STLV.

? im confused as to what you mean, if you mean the consoles, than yes... but.. it was infired that the new t6 ships will likely be made like the dyson ship, with built in powers not needing a console slot..
that is what I think the difference in a t6 ship and a t5 upgraded ship will be.. its the only way they would stay viable at endgame as they claim.. I already live without the dyson ships powers on my other ships.. but, giving t6 ships an extra console slot/weapon slots/ or access to a new boff slot that iconic ships cant use, well, that would make t5 ships pretty unviable than..
Kinda makes me feel bad for getting one on purpose lol. I bought two Romulan Survivor packs because I needed Doffs to get fleet credits fast, low and behold I got a Bug Ship lol

Of course, what they plan to do speaks of capabilities that match a T6 ship. Methinks it wont be as good as a T6 ship... whatever that is...

I seriously doubt it. Only those released or 're-released' are likely to be so blessed. But hey, I could be completely wrong and Cryptic might upgrade everything for free, completely invalidating the need to by T6 ships entirely.

Yeah, that's the way it sounded to me too, especially with the "it's upgradable" and not " it gets upgraded automatically" .
And as Cryptic has yet to explain how this will work, my ban on purchases & dill spending continues.

Ummm... you do realize that to do that all ships are likely to be able to do 30K DPS to be as powerful if not more powerful then a Scimitar .
I look forward to that ... , as I clearly see that happening with my 3K DPS K'Tinga... . :rolleyes:
which I do not want to do.. for example.. the galaxy, there is the t4 version you can buy (I have) the t5 version to buy (I have) and the fleet version (which I also have).. I have purchased the same god damned ship 3 times now.. im done purchasing a ship I already own multiple times.. to make me spend more money, or a ridiculous amount of ingame resources is stupid..
cryptic needs to stop doing this.. its wrong, and its pretty shamefull... I don't mind buying a ship, but buying "slightly" better versions of the same ship is TRIBBLE.. honestly, I don't buy a ship hopeing to purchase the same ship again.. lol..

Until we have news on the upgrading ships to Tier 6 comparable I do not plan on buying any more ships nor bothering with the lockboxes.
I'd like to know whether *all* lockbox ships will be getting the same treatment (current ones, that ppl already opened, included).
Well the Info-page on the current promotion states that all new, and past Bug-ships will get the treatment.
I can't say for sure, but I am personally pretty sure all the lottery-prizes will get the treatment.
That make sense. The skeptic in me just wonders why they would single out the bug ship when mentioning this (and not just generically talk about lockboxes).
As always, some official word on this would greatly help.
Well considering the JJ-Verse and Xindi ships were heavily requested, it would seem illogical to me... Especially considering the last time they pulled a stunt like this, all Lottery-ships got the upgrade-pass too.
And yes: Cryptic should have been on top of this 5 days ago... They knew this was coming. Their (lack of) ability to do information distribution and damage control is frightening.
If they do not manage to make the new ships interesting AND keep old ships interesting too - that will be 90% of the game no longer selling.
All old ships, fleet projects etc. you can just kiss all that goodbye.
I know we don't have any info to work with, I was hoping they'd be smarter this time and give us time to help, but either start thinking about solutions that won't unbalance anything and keep everything selling, for all of us thanks
Think of it as the difference between regular T5 ships and Fleet ships... Tiny, but if you continue, the difference will be quite noticeable, and the +0.5 can really make a difference if you use it wisely.
as Smirk mentioned in a previous S9.5 thread, the release dates for dev blogs are set to stone by the management team above them (probably PWE guys i guess). i thought the massive sh*t-storm following the lack of info before 9.5 made them realize, whitholding the information to generate hype is not a good way to connect to playerbase, but i guess those "managers" on top who are making these decisions, and who by the way know nothing of this game, or the players, also as stubborn as sh*t.
RnD and upgrade needs less RNG. Less lottery. Something has to change.
I don't for a second believe that if the marketing people from Cryptic had approached PWE saying "Look fellas: This is going to turn into a flamewar if we don't stay on top of it" before they wrote the blogs and made the announcement in Las Vegas, that PWE would have said "No. We like flamewars... Make sure you don't release any info before it's too late".
In short: I am not buying it... Especially since I am working with communications over the web myself.
