Star Trek Las Vegas Coming Soon!

Star Trek Las Vegas is right around the corner, Captains! Lead Designer Al "Captain Geko" Rivera hints at some of the exciting activities to look forward to during the convention. For more details about what to look forward to, check out our latest blog here.

    I thought LoR was announced at STLV13.......... not S8.......


    but anyhow....

    what could be bigger than S8???
    Last year we announced Season 8: The Sphere. This year we have an even bigger announcement that you won’t want to miss.

    No, LoR had already released in August 2013.

    In 2012 they teased Season 7: New Romulus, Last year they revealed the Dyson Sphere and concept art of a Spire along with Voth.

    Legacy of Romulus launched in May 2013. As STLV13 was held in August of 2013, it doesn't seem very appropriate to announce LoR when it had already been out for 3 months :)

    And yes, the [REDACTED] Expansion is likely their big announcement at STLV14.

    They took it out because people were exploiting the system. If you know anything of Cryptic, they hate exploiters.

    I'm excited to be going. It's my first convention!

    For anyone interested I'll be (attempting) to tweet from the panel on Saturday, 2 p.m. local time. Kinda depends on if there's reliable cell signal and/or wifi. You can follow me at @drogyn1701

    I'll also be working up a special supplemental episode of the Foundry Roundtable for release on Sunday. Check the Foundry section of these forums.

    I know Priority One, Stoked and the G&T Show will all be there as well.

    It's hardly an exploit. The people who exploited the system were those with masses of Dilithium who paid their way to level 15 on day one.

    Although I do wish everyone a good time,
    Truth be told, it's not too terribly exciting to hear how someone else is going to Vegas, especially when you can't.

    My escapism will have to continue to be STO ATM.

    Here's hoping for some BIG news with this announcement that we can all find exciting, (perhaps even a bit more exciting than the crafting update was, crosses fingers)

    They overreacted. They could have limited the number of the same projects run to three like Neverwinter.

    Oh gosh they already leaked X2...

    It's the Legacy of Qo'nos in this epic expansion federation players will be able to visit the worthless npcs in first city that do not do anything for the KDF. As well they will be able to play the point of view of the KDF which is mostly copy and pasted from the federation to reveal this epic content never seen by federation only players.

    As well you will be able to craft your own 2 tactical console bird of prey which will have a battle cloak console to put on any of your federation ships. As well for $159.99 you can buy a Kahless pack that will allow you to get the items needed to craft this battle cloak console.

    For the KDF players a 5 fore weapon raptor with 1 tactical console, 1 engineering console and 8 science consoles will be available for 10k zen. As well Romulan Republic players will be getting a new D'deridex that has 10 science consoles.

    For the LTS players there will be a playable Oocampa availability but due to the ability to go to 1k veteran once you make this character and logs in it will go into a homicidal rage and explode in its small craft it is in.

    So enjoy Legacy of Qo'nos everyone!
