Your Web browser doesn't appear to have cookies enabled

This is the message that I get from the Cryptic log-in page when I try to access Manage Subscriptions: "Your Web browser doesn't appear to have cookies enabled. Cookies are required for logging in."

I have cleared caches, cookies, passwords and everything else. I've opened up the browser to everything out there. I'm using IE 11, so it's not like the browser is all that obscure. Yet still, the site stops me at that message.

Better still, every time I try to log in, the "Cryptic Account Guard" sends me a new code which I never get the chance to enter in the first place.

Somebody fix this? Please?

Which browser are you using? I got this same error message using Internet Explorer myself. I even asked a few of my "Tech" friends for help but we could never fix the problem ourselves.

While it's not a solution I was happy with, I took my friends advise and tried another browser. I chose Firefox. That seems to have fixed the problem because I don't get the "Your web browser doesn't appear to have cookies enabled" anymore and I now have complete access to the Cryptic website.

If the problem accessing Cryptic's site from IE is located in Cryptic's systems, I agree they need to fix the problem. Players shouldn't have to change browsers to access their Cryptic accounts. However, if you want immediate access yourself, changing browser will be a lot faster than waiting for Cryptic to address the problem.

    Good Luck.

I am having the same problem. Since I have barely played 30 minutes in the past 6 months I want to unsubscribe and uninstall so I don't waste any more money on this **** game. But now Cryptic in their incompetence won't let me access my account. Typical.

Chrome or Firefox are better choices

EDIT: Best use for IE is to download another browser

Thanks for the suggestions! If I do access via Firefox, will those cookies thereafter be available also to IE?

Nope... the Cookies are App specific...

No. The problem is not exactly with cookies, their presence or absence. It's a "dialog" problem between the site's atructure/architecture, the way it behaves and expects a behaviour, and the way the browser does the same. It's like the site says "accept my cookie" and the browser doesn't reply, or says "I love oranges". One can not deliver, the other won't accept. Or it accepts but doesn't provide feedback that it did accept. Sometimes is even a matter of local security definitions that block certain actions/behaviours. Anyway, I'm rambling.

Usually, and eventually site owners/developers tend to fix these issues and create compatibility with newer versions of browsers whereas browser developers also tend to make some changes to how the browse works to accomodate those nuances.

It's actually a best practice that cookies do not remain resident in your computer.

Yeah - this is a known issue.

While the programmer in me thinks this is just a bad coding, the marketer in me says 'lets get them to use ARC by making all other experiences lame'.

ARC loads up your default browser when you click the account management links, which means you get the same issues using ARC, so I doubt that's why they did it lol.

Also just had this issue, using IE 10; also, had no problems using Firefox to log in.

If you ask me, this is a pretty big issue; there are still a lot of people that use IE for things like this...and I shouldn't have to go through the trouble of installing a new browser just to resub. Was thinking for a minute there that they didn't really want my money again...

I have the same problem with Chrome but due to the game just is boring and have all reps done on all my playable characters now and have all the gear I want just with problems like this bad coding and such I'm just going to wait to come back after expansion 2 or season 10 launches to see if the game is any better to play after that.

Yeah I am having the same exact issue too,
I am not sure why such a huge issue is not getting resolved or why they make me jump through so many hoops when I try to give them money but I was going to buy a lifetime membership for STO but after 2 hours of trying to give them money I have given up , I guess I will spend that money on some steam games as I can't get through their hoops.
