    This horse just will not die....someone may need to call death, I think his horse found its way into the forums.

    That said, it is a nice ship.

    Don't forget: It needs frigates or if no frigates, a third hanger. :D
    That ship is cool, but IMO too pointy, a massive ship being so pointy is not logical. Too much wasted interior space. The Typhon though...

    I still think the Ark Royal from SFC2 would look good modernized into a 25th Century design.

    Hey its my sig. Been advertising that ship for ages now, but its not a carrier. Just saying.

    That ship is the Proteus class deep space explorer. Only has I think two hangars or something.
    What your after is the Argonaut. Same architect hence why it features striking similarity, only it is a fully designated carrier.

    On the other hand, the pointier and skinnier, the better the slipstream capability. Interior space can be filled by anything. Just because it's pointy doesn't mean it's illogical. For example, hidden sensor packets could easily fill up the tip of the point...

    Cool ship, just doesn't look like a carrier. IF the Feds get a Dreadnaught carrier it will probably be the Jupiter class with updated visuals.

    Pretty pic from the OP, Not a dred though, nice in any role carrier or other line ship. Typhon would make a nice dred or a redicu class jupiter dred macro carrier? Alas I await the typhoon like many lamenting players..

    Typhon, frigates and Typhoon battle ships...

    Jupiter dred is a last wish...

    Big is alright... its just... to me the design feels lopsided.

    The only frigates I could see a Fed carrier launch are the Ju'day type raiders the Maquis used. Having Mirandas or small escorts like the Defiant or Sabre would look just a bit weird.

    Oh, and hey, another idea for the Fed raider. Let's bring that up again! :P

    Jupiter-class Dreadnought Carrier is best Dreadnought Carrier.

    Honestly, biggest ship in the Federation fleet, as it's right around 1500m in length and quite massive, which is the perfect size for a Carrier with Frigates.

    The Frigates it carries doesn't need to be from canon, they can be a 100% Cryptic design.

    All they have to do is update it's textures and give it an alternate skin.

    There are too many large cruisers in STOs Starfleet line-up already (all of which are outgunned by small frigates and luxury liners), it doesn't make much sense as it is. And no to anymore friggin carriers. I could at best imagine the OP ship as a Star Cruiser refit, although I don't like it, too pointy and meh :D

    Personally, give the OP linked design a third nacelle and spinal lance, and roll it out as a new skin for the existing Gal-X class, as I'd like to see a more modernized skin, something Sovereign-esc, as a skin compliment to the current vessel skins. Just have to finagle a saucer sep graphic for it, and there yah go. No real need for a new ship. And if not wanted to be Zened, it can be plugged into the new Crafting 9.5 roll out, at some point, as a late tier reward option of a sort, for those that want it.

    Otherwise, no need to mess with it, or bring in a new ship that CBS won't allow. The Gal-X overall, stands fine as is currently, save for moi little want above.
