new laptop

Recently my mother board died in my old laptop. I have been looking at new systems and know that most come with windows 8.1. I am wondering if STO is compatible with that program. I have seen a few websites that claim it isn't so I felt that asking the community was the way to go. Thanks for any responses!!!

    Yep! STO works fine on 8.1 :)

    Great! Thanks for the quick response! Running the game on an old xp machine is driving me crazy.

    I recently did a clean install from 7 ult 64bit to 8.1 pro 64bit. The game runs pretty much fine identically between the two even with gen map specific issues I have encountered since the launch of S9 from my testing.
