Mirror Pegasus

was just reviewing one of my cloak suggestions (largely and repeatedly shot down) but there were a few positives in there, mostly looking for the Pegasus cloak.

So....how about a Mirror Pegasus with the cloak off the Kar'fi?

having used the kar'fi I can say the Console - Universal - Phase Shift Generator isn't as great as it appears at first glance, but it seems to fit the concept.

any thoughts?

    Mirror Pegasus, as a full fledged carrier. And with a Battle cloak. Possibly even make it a fed-warbird. With a full hangar bay. A singularity core. And battle cloak.

    Mirror ships don't come with unique universal consoles.

    This could turn out to be fun.

    If this goes through, I'll be first in line to make the "when do I retroactively get Universal Consoles on all my other Mirror ships that didn't come with them since none of them do" thread.

    Aren't you forgetting the all Universal BOff positions and 6/5 weapons layout?

    The Pegasus phase-cloak was a one-off device, and it was flawed. It's creation and testing was a violation of the Treaty of Algeron, and was the cause of the original Pegasus's crew mutiny and eventually their deaths.

    Mirror ships do not come with consoles.

    The Kar'fi's Phase console is absolute TRIBBLE. It is NOT a cloaking device and is closer to the Romulan rep ability of 'Singularity Control', without the +200 science skill bonus.

    The feds already have cloak-capability with the Defiant and the Galaxy Dreadnought.

    Even the Klingons don't have a true cloaking carrier.

    I agree that the mirror ships generally don't come with unique universal consoles.

    I also agree that there are too many topics asking for federation cloak.

    Having said that, the Pegasus (Oberth Class) is one of the few federation ships from the series with a cloak. Yes, it was in violation of the treaty of Algeron but that doesn't change the fact that its a credible candidate for a federation ship with cloak.

    Not to mention that a T5 (or T4) Oberth refit/retrofit with a phase cloak would be very interesting.
    This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

    Ok... I will accept a T5 Oberth with a Phased cloak, under one condition:

    The crew will mutiny, The ships plasma explodes (crippling the ship in the process), and any admiral aboard is arrested for treason. (Basically your ships is lost, and you spend the next year, only being able to run around a small cell in the game)

    What? It's canon.

    What makes you think that even if there was a mirror universe Pegasus, that they would have a 'Phase cloak' or anything else like that? It's the MIRROR UNIVERSE, as in, things happen differently. Heck, at the time in the Mirror Universe as the Pegasus incident, the Terran Empire had long been destroyed, and the events of the MU during DS9 hadn't happened yet.

    IF there is a Mirror Pegasus, it would be an MU ship first, as in developed by the Terrans, not Starfleet. So more of a warship due to their nature of being conquerors over anything else. None of that being a guarantee of the ship having a Phase cloak.

    Heck, cloaking wasn't really a technology seen often in the Mirror Universe, such as the episode "The Emperor's New Cloak'. So it would still be a relatively new thing for the MU to have, let alone develop something like a Phased Cloaking Device.

    I could see a Mirror Universe lock box with a premium MU ship in it.

    A T5 Oberth with a phase cloak? Why not.

    Make that the lock box ship and give us an MU T5 Constitution in the lobi store.

    Best you would get is one wing of "Guy-in-ev-suit-with-pea-shooter".

    Mainly i PvE like most of the STO population does

    We Feds dont even use the cloaks we have......Why another ?

    Its next to useless in PvE now

    If your wanting a PvP gimmick isnt this in the wrong place

    I'd be all for this cloak it if it was made more authentic, usage of it procs a chance for you to be transported back to ESD, courtmartialed, reduced in rank and skill to ensign.

    it would work, but the peagasus is a science vessel, so it would have to remain as a science vessel, especially to keep the KDF and the Romulans happy

    The Feds already have a sort of battle cloak console, it's the Photonic Displacer Module off the Rhode Island. It can be used on any ship, use it in conjunction with Mask Energy Signature and have fun. The only real drawback to using it like a battle cloak is the cool down time.
