    Rather shameful that just everything related to the anniversary is broken. Back to the bad old habits, are we? :(

    If one has to ask what is broken, that shows one hasn't been to New Romulus since the patch. What isn't broken will be easier and faster to answer.

    Not exactly a smooth start to the event.

    I'm guessing it'll get fixed in the patch next week, too late for this year, maybe okay for next. Like the Junior Officer Week reward DOFF.

    Played an Azure nebula. First we went to a Falchion. The tarantula was there, but not the rommie ship. But the marker didn't clear. Other two ended up the same way, so only one point ended up spawning a ship to save. So it's not just New Romulus they broke, but all the missions that got these rewards increase.

    Atlai and Vastam are still somewhat playable. The bugs can still be sprayed, the nanovs tagged, and the Tal Shiar butchered.

    Oh good. Then it is a system problem. I've been trying to clear the New Romulus rep with my newbie alt, and suddenly today I couldn't interact with anything at all on New Romulus. Because of this gigantic glitch, I hope they push back the end date of this promotion through June 1st, at least.

    It never fails. Whenever a patch hits, something always breaks. So no New Romulus for me for a while.

    Since the Republic seems to have failed epicly, the Romulan Star Empire will be happy to take you all back. :P

    the staging area is completely unusable as all the interacts are gone.

    I have not checked further but I was also unable to access the tier one instance

    Cool...please give a post when we can expect a fix. i was looking forward to this weekend and the bugs kinda ruined it for me

    As far as I know, that bug was never fixed. I've only seen it happen a few times though, and only on the North point. I've heard other players say it has happened on up to 3 points at once though, which pretty much scrubs that run entirely.

    Yep, no interacts with the staging area. I even dropped the mission, and now have 20 hour timer. Will that be reset when this is fixed?

    I was able to do the cave and the mountain pass stages for the Romulan rep. I also did a couple regular areas like Atlai and Staging. The one that is bugged for me is power source and the related Secrets of the Ancients - where the door does not glow.

    If you have the missions accepted from prior to the event (Prior to May 22) you will notice that they still work. But any character who accepted the missions today will be bugged.

    Anyone who had the missions previously will also notice that accepting the bonus xp missions will create duplicates of that mission. 2 x Staging Area, 2 x Atlai, etc.

    After noticing this I was able to develop a workaround:
    1. Team with someone who has Un-Bugged (Prior to May 22) New Romulus Missions sitting in their Mission Journal.

    2. Get them to Share the missions with you. (By going to their mission list -> Go to "In Progress" -> Scroll and find NR Missions such as "New Romulus: Staging Area" -> Click the "Share" button.

    Once you have accepted the shared mission, you will be able to complete them normally. I have two accounts and verified this works. You may notice a long delay in getting the Marks Box and XP for some unknown reason. But it does work and you will get the Bonus XP from the Event also.

    Was only able to complete the Atlai, the others were bugged. Got the Rommie marks I needed to hold me over til this gets fixed.

    I'm trying to log into STO, but after the Cryptic screen comes up, nothing happens, and after a while, I get this Error Message:

    "Fatal Error: Unable to initialize on-demand patching and connect to Patch Server: The connection was idle for too long."

    What do I do? I already have STO running as administrator, is there something else I can do?

    Yeah, outside of the staging area contacts all I could do on New Romulus was collect radiation reports, tag bunnies, pick up resonating rocks and glowing plants, tag baby nanovs, and attack hostile bugs, Tholians, and Tal Shiar. So each area should be compliable, just very slow going since you can basically only do one or two things in each section.

    Once again I have to wonder what your QA department even does. You knew you had an event coming up, why didn't anyone spend an hour and check to make sure everything was working?
