Launcher problem

I cannot login to game.

Error displayed:
There was an error loading the login page. Please restart the launcher and try again.
Error -118 when loading url /launcher_login

Numerous attempts to login, restarted everything.

Any ideas?

    a min ago there was a thread that the server was either down or unreachable by a lot of players.

    yea. re-reading the thread it sounds like 2 issues atm, neither actually at cryptic.

    Rumor 1 -- europe has misplaced the entire internet.
    Rumor 2 -- LA, and possibly the patch server, are behind a borked router or something.

    I dunno, I am just saying ppl having problems right now, and yours might be related.

    I'm having the same issue... I'm not sure what the problem is, but here's a traceroute. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the first request timing out or not.

    Same here. Ever since the last patch I cannot get past the login screen. It gets to the Legacy of Romulus screen and then the game just shuts down and becomes non-responsive and closes itself.
