Oh and btw if I find out this was because of some ****ers who PVP's I will be pissed, this is NOT what I signed up for, Sorry PVPers, I don't give a **** whether or not you like what us PVEer use, your part of the game is OPTIONAL and should NEVER have such a big part of the ******ned decisions in what happen to the game
"... i gotta tell u that pvp was planned as a big part of the game when it started afaik. klinks have been like the pvp-faction ^^... since then that aspect of the game has been ignored on and on.
by now "pvp'ers" are mostly hated by "pve'ers" cause they're often the first ones that reveal broken stuff.
when then a dev steps in and says something like "not working as intended" the pve crowd starts to cry "pvp'ers ruin the game/pushes nerfs on and on" and such bs (f.e. afaik the rep changes, which i'd call as a fix :P, have been brought up by devs themselves afaik. good to spot some common sense there from time to time)...
i could go on, but i really don't wanna get in ragemode, guess u can understand ...
(things like almost nothing within 4 years for pvp at all and yet less to come since q changes, npc's can't complain on the forums, etc...).
and btw: those "pvp/pve" cries always make me laugh a bit. i'm here for pvp only, right. on the other hand i'm like a hc pve'er. i have to due to my collector's neurose, beside the fact that one have to grind a lot(!) to get the shinies for pvp (although u still can be competitve with low-cost builds)...
to conclude: if pvp got a big influence on design/game-decisions be sure to have ur sensors buffed to see the "wheeee "-tag painted on my guns (won't be there ever )...
Just hilarious interpretation of the first amendment aside, I know the real reason this person has been angered to the point of ignorance.
When an ability requires a toggle it can no longer be put on a spacebar macro, and requires a few synapses worth of conscious effort to operate.
That said, I love this thread, it reaffirms my faith in humanity. I love it just as I love the new Sensor Analysis and the kit revamp.
you sir are the most ignorant... Person... I have ever met, seriously, I have met ignorant as **** racists that are less ignorant than you

As I said in a later post, this comment is about him assuming to know why I was upset to the point of ignorance
We are the Borg. Existence as you know it is over. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile.
i kinda like that guy. he's honest at least, whatever one may thinks off him. though i gotta drop on..."

You know I don't have an issue with people poking fun once and a while, and I am glad a lot of things get fixed by PVPers, but what about Aux2Bat hmm? what about that?

You heard it here first, people, disagreeing with someone on a forum about a video game mechanic is worse than racism.
No, if you even learned to read your own words, I called you ignorant because you ASSUMED you knew why I was so upset to the point of ignorance, therefore you are the one being ignorant

Man, I can't even. I took a guess. And I didn't exactly phrase it as though I was being serious. I'm done joking, though. I really think you should back away from this thread, forget it ever existed, and try to relax. I'm serious. You're not helping your case, and to be honest I'm far nicer than most people who will be drawn to this thread (and they will be drawn) as more and more people in the Western Hemisphere wake up.
I don't see this going anywhere that isn't just going to lead to more stress and anger for you. You have made your position known. We know your feelings on Sensor Analysis. I, personally, disagree with you. I think if you give it a chance, you'll find that it is far more useful than Sensor Analysis ever used to be. Honestly. Also, you will find that you can in fact place the ability on one target and then switch targets. The ability will continue to build stacks on the initial target, this lets you prioritize. So, instead of using it on small things like spheres, you could put it on the transformer you're working on, or the gate, and by the time you need to shoot it, you'll have quite a damage buff against it.
I'm willing to forgive your behavior, we all can say some crazy **** when we're angry. But you need to take a few steps back, at this point. In my younger years I've been where you are, and it doesn't end well if you keep engaging.

you're probably right... and it doesn't help that I live in said western hemisphere and had to remain awake over night as well...
Well if you see me ingame give me a hollar, perhaps we can run ISE or KAGE together, or even do a few runs in the Voth or Undine BZs.
I am off I need sleep now or I will be on an even worse hair trigger

as I have already stated in the OP which you apparently skipped the top part of, I was being idiotic, this has already been pointed out to me, and I have already admitted my mistake, I would appreciate if you would cease pointing out something that has long been taken care of
Yeah. When I made the reply I had skipped from page one to reply.
I can't edit posts on IE, so just ignore it.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

Only, this pathetic minion seems to be out of line. Sovereign Ba'al states very clearly that the right to freedom of speech is only a protection from government censorship; private forums like this forum, most blogs, and other private or corporate areas are 100% controlled by the owner, who may restrict the speech of posters at their sole discretion.
Sorry but it is people like me who are fighting for EVERY PERSON ON THIS ******NED PLANET'S RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH BY FIGHTING CENSORSHIP
I do have a god given right to free speech, and part of having free speech is using it where and how I choose, sorry but this last one was just plain stupid...
Firstly, you have a privileged right of free speech. Privilege because you cannot yell fire in a theater as a joke, you cannot run into an airport yelling "bomb", you cannot assemble the public and cause a riot against the government based on your beliefs, you cannot even degrade another individual verbally because technically its called bullying! Misuse of your free speech can have undesired consequences.
1. Legal Agreement 1.5 If you do not agree with any of the Terms, please do not access or otherwise use the Service.
4. Account 4.3 By creating an Account or otherwise using the Service, you represent that you are of Legal Age or at least age 18 and agree to these Terms, or that you are over 13 years of age and your parents or legal guardian have read and agreed to these Terms, and you understand and agree that we are relying upon that representation in allowing you to use the Service.
6. Privacy 6.2 You understand and agree that we may access, disclose or preserve personal information, including the content of your communications, in the good faith belief that we are lawfully authorized or required to do so, or that doing so is reasonably necessary or appropriate to comply with the law or with legal process or authorities, respond to any claims, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Perfect World, our users, our employees or the public, including without limitation to protect Perfect World or our users from fraudulent, abusive, inappropriate or unlawful use of our Service.
8. Monitoring 8.1 You understand and agree that when you communicate with other players within a game or utilize any interactive features available on the Website, such as instant messaging, forums or chat rooms, such communications and postings are transmitted through our servers, and we may, but are not obligated to, monitor all such communications and postings, including those that are designated as private. You acknowledge that you have no expectation of privacy with respect to any such communications or postings, and you expressly consent to such monitoring.
Those are just a few that jumped out at me. No free speech, no privacy. You should be aware that your right to express your opinion, whether publicly or privately, using PWE forum features has always been subject to review, ALL of it from day one. Thus your free speech is actually a monitored PRIVILEGE to which you have already agreed to abide by.
As far as the sensor analysis topic, I am glad they are attempting to take the easy mode out of combat. Adding a toggle to SA may be inconvenient to some, but does not break a game-play style. Someone forgetting to toggle it is not PWE's fault.
It seems that every time the devs make any changes, popular or unpopular, the "entitled feeling masses" rise up and whine over losing something..... a lot, to the point of even demeaning the devs and questioning their capability. Change is constant, even if not always to our liking, but is usually necessary to protect the future investment for everyone.
Actually the Supreme court ruled that your rights DO NOT stop at the door, or in this case the sign in, of a company. I also never said there wouldn't be consequences, but I am still well within my God Given right to voice my opinion, and any form of censorship(cuss words notwithstanding) is untolerable.
Also
I'd like a court case reference on this, because the benchmark of this kind of thing is Pruneyard Shopping Center v. Robins (1980), in which they unanimously ruled that property owners, business owners, service operators, government offices outside of advertised public forums may all declare a person to be trespassing based on their decision to exercise free speech in that space. Pruneyard is often cited by people making your argument because the court also said that businesses whose exterior constituted a defacto public transitway to multiple destinations could not restrict that area, but they also gave businesses immense discretion in determining what was "reasonable behavior" within those areas, and later upheld that discretion in every form. Either way, that exception only applies to a transitway, not a destination - inside a mall was not protected, but the parking lot was protected very, very weakly. This forum is, by definition, a destination, not a transitway to multiple destinations.
This is called Private Action, and has been unanimously upheld by the supreme court several times, and they have not agreed to hear such a case since Pruneyard unless lower courts had ruled the other way.
You can argue Investment-to-reward (3 DOFF slots + Two LT-or-better Engineering BOFF slots limits its usage a bit) but basically it boils down to that the capability has been there for ages, so it's dangerous to think about touching it because more people will complain if they nerf it than if they leave it alone. So that leaves either buffing other abilities to bring them into line, making cooldown reductions easier to achieve, or just assume everyone's using it and strengthen enemies accordingly... :P
Y'know, I like freedom of speech as much as anybody.
But this is a forum about Star Trek Online, not Constitutional Law 101.
If the thread had stuck to the Sensor Analysis topic, fine.
But this is getting closed. Now.

Well at least it's been acknowledged they're a bit too much... but yeah, no signs of anything being done about the DOFFs themselves.
