You are aware that under PWE the staff has grown substantially from where it was under Atari, are you not?
Yes, but it's still not sufficient.

Then you're also aware that it's a fair bet hall monitors are the last thing that'll get attention, after every last one of the other things you feel they've dropped the ball on? If it even gets any attention then- could just be my cloudy thinking, but I can't help but feel no matter how well-funded and/or staffed the game becomes, any boardroom discussion to the tune of "should we hire more non-income-generating chat monitors, or pay the stockholders bigger dividends" is going to go the same way every single time, bar none.
STO could use a few more GMs- support tickets take forever to be resolved.
I've been playing this game for over four years and I've never seen any serious chat problems. Sure, DS9 got derailed on Gorn jokes every now and then. But these threads about in-game harassment always seem to come from the same small group of people and that tells me a lot about the problem. It tells me that those people seek out things to complain about when they could just hit the "ignore" button and move on.
capt smirk if you need vollintiers to help as gm and monitor the chat chanel in game id be willing to help with no cash payment .. zen works for me !!!!

A fun little fact about these people who are always whining about us having fun in ways they can't understand: Every time they've had one of these crying fits, there has been a Cryptic response... just not the one they wanted. First, they whined about fire extinguishers. Lo and behold, the next anniversary party popper arrived, and it was fabulously festive. Then, they whined about the party popper, so the next popper was even more outrageous, and could be rapid-fired. Given their understandable inability to interpret social cues, they continued to demand action! So we were given party amps. The party amps really riled them up, and the screams began to resemble those of a fleet of locomotives. And all that screaming has done is give us Emergency Power to Party. Hell, the most recent Featured Episode even calls for the use of party devices, and if you use a party amplifier, it gives you 100% completion immediately.
Face it, you fun-hating fascists. The GM's and devs heard you. They just don't like you.

If you had bothered to read the thread you would see that this has nothing to do with party poppers. with that point made you comment is no longer relevant.
I suggest you start at the beginning and READ the thread from start to finish and THEN at THAT point leave a post.

What, read an entire thread when you can just post an inflammatory comment out of your rear? Surely you jest!

I've been fairly active since the game went F2P and I've never even heard about one showing up in game in that time.
My friend who's been in since Beta says he THINKS he heard about one being seen ONCE.
I'm convinced there are no GM's active in the game.
Mass ignores/reports get funneled to a tech and handled out of game.
I remember playing FFXI and getting suck in Juno's lower level, somehow I'd bypassed what should have been a solid rail and ended up in the harbor.
Sent a request for help and a GM showed up in fifteen seconds, screen flashed and I was back on solid ground again.
Most amazing armor I'd ever seen.
Sadly, I cannot in any way disagree.
To get tickets resolved faster, that I could see. But then, they can also only resolve what the tools that they have allow them to do.
