While our primary forces are engaged in combat/exploration missions across the quadrant; we at the IRF have been forced into recruiting some of the less....desirable civilians into the Empire.
Meet some of our recurits:
Name: Abraxus Race: Mixed Affiliation: Romulan Star Empire Bio: Abraxus, the used starship salesman from the floating junkyards of Yaltaboth. He is overweight, out of shape, and a heavy drinker. However, this does not stop him from being a jovial character who is quick to make light out of dark situations.
He is also the last person you would have thought would be fighting for the survival of the galaxy. In fact, he probably is the last person you would want to be fighting for the galaxy. Oh boy, the galaxy is in trouble indeed.
Name: Zidgea Race: Unknown/Romulan Affiliation: Romulan Star Empire Bio: His mother, Tv'adna, went into labor while on-duty at a Romulan Star Empire Relay station. This station was supposed to send word of the Hobus star exploding so Romulus could evacuate, however because of the birth the message was never relayed.
Zidgea was told by his mother that he was half Romulan and half 'alien'; insisting his father was a great warrior that swept into her chambers one night and took her passionately.
Zidgea, however, was actually genetically pre-disposed to have a humped-back, longer than average arms, sharp nails and pre-mature facial hair. He was indeed shaving while still in primary school. Additionally, his mix of blood caused his skin to turn a tint of blue and become somewhat translucent.
After growing up with years of torment, Zidgea turned to online gaming and eventually shopping as an escape. After a time, he became so skilled at conducting online business that he purchased a transport ship of his own and set out to sell every commodity item or battle supply he could get his creappy hands on.

Jolan tru! The IRF is looking for more role-players. We are more casual role-players who have ongoing forum RPs, RP chat rooms for spontaneous chat role-playing, and of course, in-game role-playing to some degree.
As you all know, Cryptic has basically decided to ruin the Romulan Star Empire. We in the IRF have responded to this a few different ways. We have a Star Wars/Star Trek crossover RP going on in which the RSE destroyed the Republic and is still a strong power in the galaxy.
We also have an RP storyline that takes account the drastic changes Cryptic has made to the RSE. Here is an excerpt from that storyline:
The convoy from the far flung Ceres Sector was the last group of ships to join the rag-tag fleet of military and civilian ships assembled at the Star Citadel.
"Admiral, most of the ships we were expecting have reported in now. We still haven't heard from the squadron passing through the Sarita system. But, according to our time table we should be ready to move out now," Admiral Mercurius' aide reported.
Admiral Mercurius, having recently been promoted, was temporarily in charge of the fleet. The actual fleet commander was Admiral Livintius; however, he was otherwise engaged in attending to some issues and had left the last few details to Mercurius to handle. He had executed his assignment diligently and now, with some regret -not due to any love for the cramped and dirty Star Citadel but rather the idea of retreating somewhat rankled him- he was finally departing the last bastion of the Romulan Star Empire in the Beta Quadrant.
"Send the signal to the fleet, Commander. Put us on course to our first waypoint. We can't wait for any stragglers." Mercurius sat back in his command chair and scanned the bridge. Every one of his officers was engrossed in their job. It was good to keep the crew busy. The busier they were the better focused they'd be on what they had to do and not on what they had fought for and lost.
"Admiral, we're picking up a distress call from the Sarita system. They are under attack by Iconian forces. They are requesting assistance."
Mercurius sighed. There was no hope for them. He couldn't spare any ships to help them in a futile cause. He would just be throwing away ships that he needed to protect all of the civilian ships in the massive convoy. "Do not respond to the call for assistance, Commander. Stay on course." The commander nodded, resigned that the callous lack of response for help really was the only option in this case, "Yes, Admiral."
The rag-tag fleet, representing the last hope for the survival of the traditional Romulan way of life, jumped to warp on course for its first way point on its long and dangerous journey to the new homeworld of the Romulan Star Empire.
We are open to other people's story ideas and we always try to incorporate our role-players' suggestions into the stories. If you are a role-player and not necessarily looking for another fleet to join, perhaps you'd be interested in some cross-fleet role-playing as well? If so, then please don't hesitate to contact me.

"I see it. All right, let's try to get in close. Let's go into specter mode and try to sneak up on whatever it is," Viper advised.
"You know we aren't supposed to engage anything unless fired upon. Shouldn't we report this to the admiral?"
"Report what though? We need more info before we can report anything.""Roger that. Ok, let's go in. Specter mode activated."
You can join in on the adventure as well. Our stories continually evolve based on the ideas we bounce off each other and you don't have to be a good writer. It's all about having fun and creating some stories.
