Right now I'm really enjoying the Nicor. I have a dual Aux2Bat build on it, and I'm running 8 antiproton beams. It does pretty good. Also the planet killer console is awesome. I love blasting things with it.

It was a big change going from my escort to this. With escorts you either have to act like a sitting duck with your nose pointed at what you're fighting, or deal with the frustration of strafing runs and having to double back on your target. Now I just fly in circles around what I'm shooting and I don't worry about things not being in my firing arc anymore. Space combat actually feels relaxing now.

Fleet Excelsior. Its sleek, its a classic, it hits hard, tanks hard and lets me travel wherever i want in a moments notice.
    Cruisers ftw!

Cruisers. Large ships that can take and deal damage well.

At the moment I'm enjoying my tac odyssey. My favourite would probably be the Sovereign though.

I've been flying patrol escorts since before they were called patrol escorts. For a while I switched to the Avenger, but when I switched back to my beloved Gryphon, I knew I could never fly anything else.

My favorite ship defintely would have to be the JHDC. I like big slow and heavy ships that can take a huge amount of damage and then dish it back out and this ship fits that description perfectly. Now if only they would make it so you DIDN"T need a 450 mil EC ship to get the frigates for it.

Fed Tact- Fleet Defiant is my favorite ship, followed by my Fleet Galaxy-X, Then My Steam Runner, then my Fleet Avenger.

I Like the defiant's speed, firepower and the fact you have to always be on your toes with it.

My KDF alternates between the Marauder Flight Deck Cruiser and the B'rel, while she has the Mogh I rarely use it.

My Rom has a Dyson Science Destroyer.

Fed side, I like the Sovereign but with Regent-class nacelles and its 180 Torp. Perfect for broadsiding.
This ship is quite nimble for a cruiser and very sturdy on my engineer. Its the one ship that I rarely get blown up, if at all.
I don't like using cannon based ships on Fed unless its the Defiant.. they all just seem wrong. Though I admit I don't use phasers :p I went with a polaron build with the Mk12 JH set.

Edit: I know some of you love it, but I really find the Gal-X bloody ugly.. that third nacelle is just... yuck.. soz.

KDF Side: I quite like the B'rels though I dont use the ship often ever since the Mogh came out. i even have a Brel toy on my work desk and when I think no one is looking I play with it :p

Romulan Side: Mogai.. fell in love with that ship ever since I saw it in Nemesis. That's one beautiful ship beating even the Sovy.

My all-time favorite ship is a Fleet Sovereign with a quantum torp build. Between HY and BO it's got a nasty 1-2 punch and it does it with style. Omega kinetic sheering just made it a whole lot more dangerous too.

Mostly I fly my Fleet Nebula with dualbeams and 2 times Beam Overload (uni LT as Tac Boff)
    and 2 Turnrate consoles...:)

But sometimes i take my Fleet Escort Carrier as a photon torpedo boat :)

As KDF i use the Fleet Negh'Var. No other ship fits my style of playing better

Lately, I have been dividing my time between my Fleet Mogai and my MU Mogai. Got the Valdore so I could gussy them up a bit. Like the look of them and am trying hard to make them more effective in Ker'rat. Went 'boom' a lot last night, so I'm not there yet :D

My Fleet Nebula Retrofit(U.S.S. Chattanooga) is, far and away, my primary ship; it's primary role is Defensive Support, healing and repairing allies, along with crowd control and debuff options.

It can also Tank quite well, easily standing off 3 Mirror Typhoons during the recent Mirror invasion event(and taking one down before a teammate showed up to help).

The next closest thing I have to a ready ship is a Mirror Star Cruiser(U.S.S. Atlas Park) fully Nukara'd out, along with a considerable array of Nukara-Tetryon Beam and Dual Beam arrays, as well as a Rom Hyper Plasma Torp and Omega Torp launchers.

...I've also got 4 or 5 other ships in various states of readiness, but rarely, if ever see active use.... :)
When in doubt...Gravity Well TO THE FACE!! :D

If I had to name a ship based on game play functionality it would have to be my Andorian Charal Class, it's manouverable, packs a serious punch and can hold it's own in a dog-fight, even though it isn't that big a ship.

Otherwise, My inner kid longs to be able to use my "All Good Things" Dreadnought like Admiral Riker did in the fight sequences of that episode, shame it's so slow and barge-like in STO.

If I could choose any ship from the Star Trek Universe, (I'll prolly get internectually hung for this) but I loved the "Into Darkness" Dreadnought U.S.S. Vengeance, I could quite see myself kicking TRIBBLE and taking names with that beauty in STO - if only /sigh

I can't say i have one single most favourite ship class i love to fly in STO.
But i like the Fleet Heavy Cruiser Retrofit and the original Avenger (Star Cruiser) very much, but their BOFF layout leaves space for improvement...

Aside from it, i also like the Ambassador.
I think it has one of the best BOFF/Console Layout of all ships in the game (for my playstyle).
But again, it needs some more different styled ship parts IMO.

The Avenger on the other hand has the potential to be a really fun ship, but its looks just make me cringe. (especially since there is no alternative/bigger/wider saucer availlable.)
I also would really l.o.v.e. to have a Odyssey, but as above the lack of customization keeps me from buying one. (there isn't even a different set of pylons availlable...very weak IMO)

For my KDF character i like the Mirror Negh'var the most. Great BOFF/Console Layout and it looks really cool IMO. (especially if Negh'Var and Qu'Daj ship parts are combined.)

My ROM character is in command of a Fleet Ha'feh but to be frank it is just to frelling huge, lol.
It's as nimble as a Defiant but almost as massive as a GCS.

I believe I stated back in April that my favorite ship for my Fed toon is the free T5 Sovereign heavy cruiser. It still is.

I bought two mirror universe Sovereign heavy cruisers for alternative builds. I ditched the polaron build using a T3 Ambassador cruiser. I decided to switch that over to a mirror universe heavy cruiser retrofit.

My KDF toon has been strictly flying BoPs. Currently flying the T5 Hegh'ta Heavy BoP. However, I am working on a mirror universe Qin Heavy Raptor build; I need to continue advancing through the Romulan Rep system for their plasma weapons though. I just bought a mirror universe Negh'var heavy battle cruiser this weekend when I saw it for a cheap price (4 million EC) on the Exchange. Not sure what kind of weapons to put on the Negh'var yet.... maybe I will break tradition and put phasers on it... :)

I love my cruisers! Especially with Fleet RCS's :)

I rotate through all my ships, I fly one for a few days and start missing one of the others, etc.

The one that I always come back to is the Fleet Excelsior. Having the extra tactical BOff abilities, tactical slots and my Engineer's abilities, it's a powerhouse!

Otherwise the other frequent ships are the Sov, Gal-X and Ambassador.

My old favorite was the Mobius Destroyer.

New Favorite: Undine Nicor Bio-Warship :p Its dart-like shape is both graceful and menacing at the same time, and who can say no to a pocket-sized planetary destroyer focus weapon? :D Cryptic did an amazing job with the fluidic focus beam's animation -- too bad you can't see it most of the time in the Undine Battle zones due to graphics engine limitations...

    Depends on the character.

My main Fed Tac has access to pretty much every ship in the C-store, plus a couple of lockbox/lobi ships, the last two anniversary ships, and the winter/summer run-the-race-25-times-and-win! ships. There's a bunch that I really love and fly from time to time, but I keep on coming back to the Fleet Army HEC. I love the lines of the updated Akira, I love that it's a light carrier with a heavy tac focus, and I love the torpedo point defense console (aka The Button That Makes Everybody Die.)

My KDF main likewise can have his pic of the litter, but I just can't seem to drag him out of the Tac Bortasqu'. I love the hugeness of it. I love the way I can surprise people by making that brick dance. I love the autocannon.

I have a few other favorite ships I fly with other characters. My Fed Sci goes back and forth between the Intepid retro, the Nebula retro, and the MVAM escort. My Fed Eng swaps between the Avenger and the Regent. My KDF tac rocks the Mirror Vo'quv. My KDF Sci alternates between the Plesh Brek and the Varanus. My Romulan loves her Fleet Valdore.

But if you put a gun to my head and made me pick my absolute favorite, I'd have to flip a coin between the Armitage and the Bortasqu'.

I frequently change ships to try something new. The ones that I repeatedly come back to:

    Starfleet
    Fleet Defiant
    Fleet Sovereign*

    KDF
    Fleet Vor'Cha
    B'Rel Retrofit*
... and no, I have never jumped on the Avenger / Mogh Bandwagon

    Romulan
    Fleet Mogai*
    Scimitar
    D'Deridex

The ones with * are the ships of the faction I use most frequently.

    Federation

Sovereign refit- she looks good from every angle and hits hard with really good survivability
Akira heavy escort carrier- she looks good and is a potent vessel
Nova retrofit- she may be small, but she grav wells and fires beams like a crazy madman

Close second would be the hunter on my tac, the mirror heavy cruiser on my engi as well as the

mirror nova with a drain build on that same engi. The mirror nova setup kicked the snot out of a

      My favourite to play with:

The Odyssey probably, though i tend to enjoy my Wells just as much sometimes.

My favourite ship(s) to look at ... the Jupiter and the Typhoon i'd have to say. I don't know, many say they're ugly but for some reason they appeal to me ;)

      My Galaxy-X. It isn't even a question.

I still remember when I was a kid drooling over her during the episode. The Enterprise-D was my Enterprise growing up, and the future version of her was intoxicating and exhilarating.

I flew her clear until I got my Atrox, and now since the fleet version I am back in her again. I still ship hop to relieve boredom, but I always come back to her.
I once again match my character. Behold the power of PINK!
