Truth be told, we have yet to see what the final product will be regarding this on holodeck. If it's something like the "aleviate limb/apply bandaid" stuff like someone mentioned earlier, I'm not so sure that's what people wanted and asked for - just like the Romulan faction.
If this has some actual depth to it, rather than spamming "F" untill you get the 'green option' - then it will really be refreshing new content.
While I applaud any attempt to move some content away from the 'kill this, blow that' mantra - the quality of delivery or lack of such remains to be seen and only then can this be judged upon.

Its on Tribble now. And it requires 2 things. (1) you must read all nearby physical evidence. If you fail to do this, you cannot make a deterimination. (2) If you have read all the evidence you should get a "This person is probably an undine" or "This person is probably who they say they are."
Then over the course of the mission, Bajorans may riot for you quarantining people, and Undine may try to steal the Orb of Possibilities from the Shrine.
Once you clear or quarantine all the suspects, you track down an Undine to the main square where a protest is going on and he reverts into his Undine form, you engage in a running fire fight to the caves, etc.

Is there a "Kill everyone involved, just to be sure." option for the Klingons among us? :P

For once we get a mission other than shoot your target to death and keep going. And your going to fuss. Star Trek wasn't about see how many kills there is. Even in WoW they had other missions that wasn't just killing. Killing gets old in any game. I love where I can actually use my brain for once to see the story and to figure out who is good/bad. Just killing is no-brainer work.
This is a great addition to the game. My only fuss is I can't solo the mission.

I've known it since I joined these forums. Just never talked about it.
I'm sorry, I don't usually pick on people's spelling/grammar in the forums, even though it drives me crazy, but this post, starting off with a complete lack of capitalization and a splattering of punctuation, cluminating in this gem, forces me to action.
You, my friend, have NO PLACE telling someone about sucky writing. I had to laugh when you compared it to a 6th grader with ADHD, since my 4th grader, who exhibits signs, shows better grammar skills.

It's the Bajorans, there are plenty of Federation Captains that would love this option as well.
For me personally, this really does seem like it's going to be more of a pain than anything. Like most elite missions, there will be too many people either not reading, trolling, or leaching, which is going to cause a lot of issues in getting the actual objectives wrong. While I'm not going to complain about a mission that isn't about flat out murdering thousands of people at a time, i will go on record saying that people are going to make just as big a mess out of this one, as they were in the Mirror invasion mission.
To be honest though, the writing in this game as stated is usually pretty poor and one of my favorite examples is the mission "Defend Rhi'ihha station", which kind of plays out like:
"The elachi are attacking the stations's core, go murder them all"
"Now that you're done killing the elachi come all the way back up to where i am."
"Now that you're here, it turns out it was the elachi attacking us. Now they're going after the six guys that weren't smart enough to evacuate. Go back to where you just were to kill them all again."
"Hey, whether you were done saving those six people or not, come back up here for no reason other than i'm lonely... like... really..."
"Hey, now that you're here, the elachi are attacking us! Go down to the exact same spot i keep calling you from, to go kill all those guys again. It's not like i'm purposely calling you back here just to give them adequate time to set up their attacks or anything..."
"Hey, now that you've just murdered almost 100 people and saved this station.... leave..."
Not really the most riveting storylines we're dealing with here. To be honest, they either need to hire some one else to help write content, or at least hire someone who is an actual writer. To be honest, maybe they should tap the Literary Challenges as a means of getting better story lines for their episodes and missions.
OP, if you wouldn't mind me asking, where is your fan fiction submitted writing sample?
If you're gonna TRIBBLE on someone's parade, and in this case even before the contents been released, then I can only assume you are prepared to show Cryptic (and the rest of us) how "good writing" is done.
Is there a "Kill everyone involved, just to be sure." option for the Klingons among us? :P
Well, hell, I already suggested to Cryptic that the correct solution to "Suspects" is to stun Drake and Random Captain of the Week and sort out which is the Undine later.

really.. its a GD forum.. I don't sit here and worry about punctuation, and proper sentence structure.. i am actually a teacher, and I spend a large part of my day making sure kids as well as my own grammar is correct and what not.. so when i get home, and i want to spend more time in game, than i do on the forums, i tend to not give to sh**s how my structuring looks in here, there is literally only a handful of people who are arrogant enough to be that guy/girl who gets snooty with people.. i take it your the kid who stood alone at recess because you thought you were better than everyone, and no one wanted to talk to you..
this thread is about 1 thing, and no where in your response did you even remotely come close to being on topic.. i love how fan boys revert to personally bashing someone else when someone makes a solid point they cant counter.
this is a forum to a video game.. and if the only comment you can come up with to disagree with me is my own writing abilities, than you should probably not be on a public forum, and you should probably keep your comments to yourself.. i am making a statement that has been an issue in the game, half the people in this thread are not using proper structure and technique when typing their own responses..
further more. cryptic has one of the only systems in the world that does not start sentences in caps, does not recognize punctuation, and really does a lazy job at spell check.. Christ, my phone has better software for it.. it checks my spelling, gives me the correct options.. recognizes when i end a sentence and start a new one, recognizes when to use caps and when not to.. its not my fault every other piece of software i type on does that, so excuse me for not putting the time in for the "sto forums"
and the further lack of proper structure in this response is more cause i don't care, and i know my own capabilities, and do not need to prove myself to anyone.. again, its a forum, get over yourself..
and just so you don't think im some boob who is just saying stuff, i graduated high school with enough credits for a college batch. degree in musical education. i was part of a head start program because i excelled, and because i actually was selected to teach the music classes while i was in sixth grade. i had gotten the state police and the local lions club to sponsor and pay for my early education.. as a result, my last day of high school, i was teaching at the middle school, and then i taught in the school system the next three years.. yes i am a music teacher (as i have said before on the forums), but i still have to write letters of recommendations, disciplinary reports, budget reports, on the chalk board, on my bands website, letters to the parents, curriculum, report cards, brochures, and lots more. and i have to do it professionally and correctly..
so again, be a big boy, mind your surroundings, stay on topic, and don't attack people you don't understand.. maybe next time ill type my response in pig latin or ebonics, just for you.. lol..
OP is just a whining troll. Judging S9 just from one PVE queue...pathetic.
yeah, like I said in my first post in here, I agree about the writing, but as long as having to question top brass doesn't become a daily event, it will be good. I can see how that would get stale fast..
while op kinda ranted, there are points for cryptic to take from this thread..
Well, hell, I already suggested to Cryptic that the correct solution to "Suspects" is to stun Drake and Random Captain of the Week and sort out which is the Undine later.
Shoot them both. We can figure it out when they respawn.
What's the point of being a teacher if you don't apply what you learn to the real world? Do you teach your students that it's okay to play off-key because there's autotune software out there for them in the real world?
Do you let your students tell you to stop being snooty and correcting them because they only take music class because they have to, and that's it just a gd class and to stop whining about how horrible they are at playing music and to just collect your paycheck and leave them alone?
Or do they simply acknowledge that maybe you have a point and they don't, and keep their mouth shut?
If the topic at hand is "crappy writing" but the OP can't write worth a damn, to a music teacher that's like having Rebecca Black tell you that you aren't putting enough effort into educating your students on how to perform better in a musical atmosphere.
I hope the Bajorans ask " am I being detained?" while filming me! The dev description amused me because its like you know those Bajorans and their desire to have freedom , hope they tell me to go hell and start a protest.
While a big season like that would be amazing, you would hit an issue. Most people want to be their character in most MMOs. Although I think it would be neat to play another character.
You would have to entice lots of people with good rewards and unique things from the missions.
If i was playing this game just for the rewards, I would not be playing this game...yeah not all their story are hits, but even the show had a bunch of misses.
