Simple question really...

My nephew wants to play STO. Yes, i know, I never should have let him see me playing the game with all the big space laz0rs!!

I figured, in order to make him an account, I'd press the Register button on the launcher and away we'd go.

It seems I have to download Arc. When I already have the game installed. This seems like quite a waste of HDD space. Am I missing something, or is this the way it is with PWE these days, my hard drive isn't my own anymore? :eek:

    just sign up thru arc and login from the STO launcher directly.
    it should work. i think arc and pwe accounts are linked.

    I made him an arc account, but the launcher says Invalid Username or Password so I guess it hasn't created a Star Trek account for him.

    I guess he can go without :)

    as username use the email address used to sign up with not the username created as you made the account it seems to need the email address instead with new arc accounts, a bit irritating yes

    Be aware though that should you get the account created up and running, your nephew is 13 years old or over as detailed in the TOS.

    Thanks eazzie, he is - his 13th birthday present from his favourite (I wish!) uncle was the complete kit for his favourite team whom I won't mention, as I'm from the other (Red) side of the city!!

    I'll try that once the server is up and running again loverofwars, many thanks :)
