I strongly advise anyone not to attempt any quests, STFS, or anything serious in the game right now as it's very unstable and you will get kicked out every 5 minutes.
PWE & Cryptic are two names I'm avoiding the next time I'm looking for an online game.
I played the Neverwinter beta long while ago, and I loved it. Their games are a lot of fun (though paying to win is a little meh). Can't expect perfection out of these systems. That will never happen. I'm merely frustrated at having to kill the same annoying comet time and time again.
.............Friday ............... people would want to play star trek online ......... but this is not a "pay to play" but a "pay to wait" it's okay to tell me the night before that updates the game .......... but ... it's so annoying!
Also, for everyone who is posting detailed information regarding issues you were having regarding the servers, thank you. I'm doing my best to keep everyone aware of the situation and this data helps us. I can use constructive information regarding any instabilities to potentially help the situation.
Just so you are aware it is not just STO that is down. Fortuna is down as well, and that is a browser game. Whatever is going on is affecting all the games.
Should try that little used forum.. Gameplay Bugs. There is some stuff there that was happening an hour before the server actually went down for all.
Our choice in merging the threads to General is due to the added visibility. Players will more often go to General and we would like to keep everyone up-to-date in the most visible thread possible.
I'm having the exact same problem. I was randomly disconnected a few hours ago. Now I can't even load the launcher. Just attempts to update 5 times then exits.
Getting the Cryptic Updater retries as well. Playing from Germany on Kabel BW...although I'm missing Popeye's from back home right now. IT'S RELEVANT, I TELL YOU! :O
So ... does anyone know if Cryptic is working on a remedy and commissioning of server , or there just so we argue among themselves???

"Nah, anyone with a complaint is a troll. I'm busy with solitaire. Post some random vague response for them using techy words, that will get them confused enough to go play another ARC game..."
As I see it, everyone here actually writes himself , but constructive renovated is nothing any of us ... It is like working on the Tower of Babel : I 'm talking about a goat , you 're talking about the coach ...:o
