Can't even bring up the launcher to tell there's a problem. the launcher tries to patch and can't find the patch server.
Everywhere I look, people are screaming about how bad Cryptic is.

If you can't log in throught the client, you're doing it wrong.

Yes and as long as I don't close the client that works fine because it was launched by the launcher originally. If I close the client and reopen it, it will never connect for me. The reason I asked about shutting your machine down is this would remove any external variables.

Sorry to report that we are experiencing some issues with the Launcher.
We are investigating what is causing this issue, and we will update the thread as we receive more info from our team.

Its not just S.T.O.. Neverwinter is down and so is Champions Online,
funnily enough champs server status is green but is currently having launcher problems too, so obviously its right across the board for cryptics games at the moment...

Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
And it isn't just STO, I'm getting launcher errors for Neverwinter as well.
Sarcasm... They don't change anything and things still get buggered up.
servers need new hamsters, last batch died of exhaustion, somebody start a hamster donation fund, quick!

And the chat server is working intermittently.
A fleet mate of mine was of and on every few minutes about an hour ago, he eventually gave up and logged.
Seems to me they broke something during the last maintenance.

I don't want to ruffle any feathers, but if the I.S.S. London starts interfering with the servers... this could be a big deal.
