Massive Lag

Ever since Wednesday 12th March I have been recieving a MASSIVE amount of lag on STO. So much to the fact when I joined a crystalline elite I lagged out so badly i stopped moving and ended up over the planet and couldnt move. I got afk penalty for 2 hours.

This issue is confined to STO; my teamspeak is running fine, internet streaming and browsing is running fine, other games have low ping with no lag, so please help me understand WHAT IS HAPPENING... especially because I am doign the mirror event on 7 characters therefore lag is going to make it very hard work.

Any help is much appreciated

Hard to say whats wrong with your connection... You should take a look at this thread... http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=225155

... and post some network diagnostic information for starters, otherwise its anyone's guess as to whats wrong...

Expected values for the first hop should be around 5 ms, yours, well....

Try rebooting/power cycling your router and your modem/gateway. If that doesn't improve the problem, then you will have to contact your ISP and have them send someone out to take a look at the equipment...
